Reckon we would do a deal for £35m
Never worth that. 23 year old Mendy is a £50m WB in todays market, Rose is not.
Spurs will turn around and sign Tierney or Sessegnon for £15-20m and be better off in a year or two.
Wait what? I'm fairly sure Rose has never any trophies and hence no winners medals. Out of those other 3: Mendy has won the Ligue 1, Tierney has won quite a few Scottish domestic trophies and Sessegnon has won the under 19 Euros. Unless I've misinterpreted what you were saying, your point is not true.Whilst Rose has more medals. So good for them.

I wasn't the one who made the point initially and I was only replying to your comment as it appeared untrue. The point that @SwansonsTache made was that financially it makes more sense to invest £50m on a younger player than Rose who will be 28 come next summer. Generally speaking that point is valid, but in our case we took that approach with Shaw and it hasn't worked out, so we could do with the finished article now rather than hoping the player will full fill his potential in several years. You said we’ll end up with Rose and they will have the yoongsters to replace him. I’m saying who cares if Rose comes here and picks up medals with us. Couldn’t careless who they brought to replace him. He’s better than them currently. That was my point.
I’d much rather we sold Shaw, Darmian AND Blind then signed Alex Sandro..
Makes no sense to go for Danny Rose for £50 million when you can most likely get Alex Sandro for £60 million.
...remains interested in Arsenal's Mesut Ozil and Carlos Soler of Valencia but it is now more likely any push for both will come at the end of the campaign. Jose Mourinho will prioritise full-backs for Manchester United in the January transfer window, and is considering acting on the club's long-standing interest in Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur........would cost up to £50m...The possibility of a part-swap for Pochettino's former Southampton player Luke Shaw has been mooted, but Spurs are not interested in that.
If he's going to be £50m, we might as well go for Sandro.

Juventus are going to want a lot more than $50m for Sandro. Isn't Chelsea already offering $60m?
And they're worse off for it. They've badly missed Walker's pace on the right flank. Just as they miss Rose on the other side. Davies is good but he's not playing to the standard Rose was.Like they did by selling Walker to City for double the combined cost of Trippier and Aurier.

They certainly are. Stop being obsessed with stats and watch them play. Matt Ritchie has more assists than Christian Erickson. Would they be better off with him too? They are not missing Walker. Trippier has 7 assists in 15 games which is better than Walker has ever done for them or City.

Alli was at his best the second half of last season when Rose was out but it is fun to make up stuff isn't itThey are missing both Walker and Rose. Both have played pivotal roles in Spurs' entire Dynamic for the last few seasons.
Alli shares and excellent understanding with Rose down that left flank, the latter being absent for the majority of the season has directly affected Alli and his form this season proves that.

Like saying Young playing wingback is the reason for De Gea great form
Nope but saying Rose being out is why Alli hasn't been great this season so far is just as wrong, he has since being in the Prem had stronger 2nd half of season than 1stAlli has performed at an increasingly high standard for a number of years now, in combination with Rose. Are you saying they do not share an excellent understanding? If that is the case, you would be wrong.
