Wonder who Chelski have lined up, they can't carry on with just one striker. The Falcao rumours are still flying around and there were some reports in Spain that the deal was already done apparently..

Hopefully they just recall Lukaku and persist with Torres

Well if they still want to go down with the Torres ship they should at least sign Benteke or even Ba to give them more physicality up front something they've missed since letting Drogba go. They're also far better players so far this season but without the profile and ego to demand to start instead of Torres each week.

Falcao would be an alarming signing for Chelsea so I hope I'm right in thinking they wont get him.

After watch the supposed highlight video on the last page ive come to the conclusion that hes a perfect fit for liverpool

-Missplaced passes, even simple 5 yard balls were being cut out
-Blasts shots high, wide or both together
-Want to keep the ball and try and beat 10 men even when a better option is available
-Goes down 3 seconds and 3 yards after a challenge is made, when theres no actual need to anymore
-Massively inflated ego, thinks hes better than he actually is

Daniel Sturidge and liverpool are a match made in heaven

I think this will be a very, very good signing for Liverpool. He's a good player with goals in him but he needs to be handled and played correctly. I reckon Suarez will become the deeper of a front two for them with Sturridge as the out and of striker bringing the best out of both Suarez and Sturridge

'Brendan Rogers' and 'front two'? Put the bong down son.. You must be really fecking high to think that Suarez or Sturridge could get something out of the players around them.

Two of the most massively greedy head down dribble in and shoot when there are better option players in the league and maybe even the world right now.

12 million is not too bad in today's market. He definitely has big potential. However, he's just such a selfish, head down, frustrating player.

Last time he was played properly was against us in the Chanel no.5 cup where he had an utter mare, performance wise. Was gifted a goal and spazzed out like he'd owned the entire game with that ridiculous celebration.

:lol: hands down the perfect description of that game.

Big headed player who thinks an awful lot of himself despite the fact he is still hugely unproven. He will do alright there, but he won't improve them massively. Technically he's pretty good but his attitude stinks. I assume they will play him out wide.

I think he'll be a decent signing for them. He's very selfish and frustrating but I think he's shown a fair amount of talent since he's really arrived on the scene. Liverpool could do with a striking option who can play either down the middle or from the wing and he fits the bill.

He's not worth £12m though.

He's a typical Rodgers signing and he should be able to get the best out of him. I wouldn't expect miracles but Liverpool cannot buy better players right now despite their fans thinking they could get Cavani etc. Sturridge is about as good as they can have at the minute and if guided properly, he could have a decent goal return.

People talk about Theo Walcott or Gervinho, but this guy is certainly far worse off than the pair. Great to see dippers spending money on shite again

What exactly is a typical Rogers signing though? I'd have thought unselfish technically good on the ball and passing 'smart' footballers in the system he's trying to build... ?

That will go well.

Sturridge and Suarez.

The head down do it all myself stuff could see them end up actually tackling each other to get a touch of the ball.

Sturridge does know where the goal is if he gets a chance though, more so than anyone in the current Pool squad it has to be said.

Arrogant, greedy and overconfident he may be, but he's certainly a talented player as well. Liverpool could do better yes, but he's a good player who will only get better and would be a good signing for them.

This. I actually can't wait to see it.

At least Suarez has the ability to justify it.

Sturridge is just a greedy self centred wannabe

Is this confirmed now the window is open?

By the way I am still wondering what a typical "Brendan Rogers Signing" is..?

In players that are of a similar mould to Sturridge he has signed Borini/Sinclair/Routledge. All similar style of players, the 'forward' type of winger that are very direct.

Sturridge: "It's a humongous club one of the biggest in the world, & to have the fans and world-class players we have here is amazing."

"I'll be playing with many world-class players"

Humongous? He's just left the European Champions and some actual world class players to go to a mid table Prem club with probably one world class player and a David Brent in charge. You're kidding nobody Daniel.

It won't be long before they are on his case because he's a lazy fecker.

When was the last time a player used the word 'Humongous' to describe a club? Terrible word

Sturridge did well at Bolton but overall I think he's a greedy, arrogant cnut who thinks he is better than he actually is. Perfect player for Liverpool then.

Rodgers: "I'm delighted that David Villa has joined the group. The magnificent fans here deserve the very best, and that's what we've bought - a Barcelona legend. What? It's not Villa? It's f*cking Sturridge? Oh bollocks..."

After this signing its clear: Brendan Rodgers is a double agent who has been sent in to destroy Liverpool. If the Scousers are happy with this signing...wow. Just wow. To think they could've gone for Demba Ba last summer.

LFC statement:

Daniel's signing will shortly be recognised by RAWK threads titled: 'Sturridge: Better than Messi?' 'A Phoenix-like Hero has Arisen from the drifting mists of the Ages' and inevitably 'That Chelski Bastard's a Waste of F*cking Money'.

He's the best Carling Cup player I've ever seen. Better than Carlos Vela.

Carlos Vela was a better carling cup player than him. Dude used to score loads against lower league teams. Had -10 potential on FM2008 as well.

One of the dumbest player there is the league. He has decent technique but ultimately his footballing intelligence is virtually non existent.

Remember all the Sturridge > Welbeck comments? 'More in his locker' was the peach.

I predict: a superb debut, followed by an LFC career of averageness.
