He's a very attractive man isn't he?
We should never have sold him and possibly Depay.
Blind would fit right into the MF.
Heart problems are no joke, i hope he takes early retirement.
He suffered from myocarditis. He underwent an ICD operation (implanted cardiac defibrillator), that tells me that it is very serious ( with severe cardiac function impairment) and high risk of developing dangerous cardiac arrhythmias (rhythm abnormalities). My guess he will not play again. Very sad to hear that and I wish him a speedy recovery.I've just seen the article about him having a heart condition. I haven't a clue about anything medical, but it sounds serious to me?
Will he really be able to continue playing?
Wish him all the best.
Normally heart inflammation is caused by a virus or a bacteria. It is something that will get better normally, 6-8 weeks should do it.Heart problems are no joke, i hope he takes early retirement.
He fell in to his element when he dropped down to defence and I think that's the case in Holland too. Though the guy is incredibly versatile because of his intelligence and good looks. One of my personal favourite players at United ever because I loved the way he played football in defence - found watching the way he had to position himself fue to his lack of pace and physicality an absolute art right before he would pull of a beauty of a pass.
Wish Smalling & Blind got another season together - even around Maguire, those 3 in a back 3 would be nice to see.
Smalling - Maguire- Blind
Unfortunately that's what no DOF does.
Depay has gotten better the more chances he has to learn a free game a bit centrally as well. I agree with you. Jose makes some horrid decisions of selli g players wherever he goes.
Sounds like he'll be fine to me.Not 100% sure how it translates into English, but in Dutch it sounds pretty damn serious.
Diagnosis is 'heart muscle inflammation' after becoming unwell during the Ajax - Valencia game. In the hospital they implanted what's called an S-ICD which stands for Subcutaneous (under the skin) Implantable Cardioverter Defribilator.
Blind won't be joining the Ajax team during the winter break in Qatar, he's staying in Amsterdam to work on his recovery. Let's hope it's all under control now and it won't affect his career too much in the future.

The ICD is done to get the heart beating to the right rythm again. As it seems his heart went into an irregular rythm the helps to get the heart back on song.
No fecking way. I hope he gets to full recovery and get out there and play. One of my favorite players in this last 6 shitty years and a top guy as well.Heart problems are no joke, i hope he takes early retirement.
Horrible news for him. I had a far less serious heart condition picked up on a regular screening whilst playing semi pro and it was VERY hard mentally to get back to playing, cant imagine what it will be like at his level. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he doesn't play again, if he is even able to.
This. Retiring from football isn't a tragedy at all. It's not like he hasn't had a decent career either.Don't know about concern for his career... he could be dead now, or in a severely compromised state.
As things stand, he has his life, health and he is getting treatment. That all comes far before football, especially so for someone who doesn't have many career years left.
Hope he makes a full recovery and retires organically, but if this is the end for him as a player, he's to thank his lucky stars he at least gets the chance to live on with his faculties intact.
I would be surprised if he play's again.A cardiologist saying this might end his career. Shocking stuff.
Get well soon you beautiful man!
