I think it's even simpler than that:
He can defend when he's facing forward, away from goal. He can't defend when he's facing any other direction.
Yeah, accurate assessment.

Oh shit isn't he? Didn't even notice. Blind's had a shocker, as much as I rate him I think he's much better at centre back or defensive mid. He can still take the corners and all that. Not on the bench..
So fecking stupid. lost for words
I don't really like him much but you could really post this in virtually every players thread.Don't worry lads he'll have a blinder against one of the mid table teams soon and everyone will be singing his praises again.
True, but it's especially relevant to the likes of Blind, Fellaini Mata etc.. We have a number of average players in our squad.I don't really like him much but you could really post this in virtually every players thread.
Smalling is screwing him here. He's had a shocker so far but every one has been down to Smalling dithering and not letting him know what he is doing.

He's been crap today but some people here want to have a word with themselves, it's like they are incapable of thinking past the last half an hour.
Blind can't handle the speed. Terrible game from him so far.
To be fair I've been saying it for a long time. This bloke is one two three mistakes a game. Cost us versus City as well. Only a matter of time before he is out the team. Good player but shocking defender and not good enough for midfield.
I've been saying this since we bought him. He's perfect for the DM role.I think he's best suited to a holding midfield role where he doesn't have to be last man. He could be very good there, dropping between the CBs.
Except he's not, theres literally dozens of games where he hasn't made two or three mistakes a game, many of which he's been our best player. There are far, far more instances of him playing well than when he's made mistakes, and this is a game where everyone with the exception of Valencia (who shouldve done much better than from the corner) have played shit.To be fair I've been saying it for a long time. If you want to join in the conversation then try reading the bloody message first. Unless you actually discuss the content of my post ie he doesn't make 2 or 3 mistakes a game then don't bother quoting me.Just stop. I don't get how you think performing well against some weaker opponents overrides his error prone performances against the top half of the table. If you are a defender in the EPL, you should be good at defending period. Still i don't blame Blind, only the intellectually challenged managers who continue to start him.
Well at least your point is getting less ridiculous.Nope not giving you that as even when he plays well there is atleast one mistake in him. Never a top defender in a million years. In fact playing him in defence makes him a liability. Fecking Pedro is bullying him!! Pedro fecking Pedro!!

And where have I said otherwise? Come on, quote me.But he's already made 2-3 mistakes this game; one which led to a goal. Which was exactly why i was telling you to stop with your lame attempts to defend Blind.
Well at least your point is getting less ridiculous.
No your point was he makes two or three mistakes a game, reducing it to just one makes it less ridiculous, even if it's still completely wrong. His CB partner is showing him how it's done btw.Yes my point is ridiculous that Blind is atleast a mistake a game. Let's be honest he's pretty shite at defending

Don't let the facts ruin the bashing! Another superb cross from Blind.Funny how Blind stops making mistakes when he's not playing LB to Smalling in CB.
no you didn't, you read it!Read the post I said only one when playing well. How many has he made today?
no you didn't, you read it!
He's made far too many, much like every player for us on the pitch, have I said otherwise?
