Gaming Cyberpunk 2077 (PC, PS4/5, Xbox One)

Haha, k. Was wondering whether I ought to be more mindful of where I put my points

:D you can buy an item from ripperdoc to reset all your skill points anyway so you can reapply - it’s at least 80k a pop though!

i do the same! I save as much as I can. Maybe not as much when in transport, so worst case scenario I’m starting a journey again. But at every possible point in a interaction/mission/side quest etc. It’s a must imo

I’m not sure what build I’m doing yet. I started out stealth, but now I got skippy, a smart sniper and the smart assault gun from the 6th street gang - I’ve put my skill points into assault mainly since. I have 8 skill points left to use, so just waiting for the next few storylines to see what I will start investing in, I’m basically still at the start of Act 2
My character can do a bit of everything at this point. Dont find theres much advantage in specialising too much. Not with perks anyway.
I find theres a lot of things you can put points into that are pretty redundant and dont make a meaningful difference. Sniper Rifles for instance kill most things with 1 headshot without any points in damage, spending perks on more damage rarely makes things die any quicker. Same with recoil, maybe the smart one fires faster but the 2 i've used fire so slow that recoil is irrelevant. Throw a couple perks into reload speed and you have most of the worthwhile perks in the assault line imo. Hell, just put a couple of reload speed mods on the weapon and dont spend any perks on it, it'll do most of what you want from a sniper rifle.
I put 1 point into some stamina regen perk in blades and dont think i've ever run out of stamina since. Theres a good few more spread between atlethics and blades that sound great on paper but wont make a difference outside the boxing match quests. Increasing the duration of bleeds set by blades when they kill everything in half a second is another perk that i cant see much point to, maybe some throwing knife dot build?
Bosses mix things up a bit but i find being flexible and being able to change approach helps more there as theres often one trick or another to make them very easy. Trying to kill a sniper with a melee build is hard work. Hacking a camera, bouncing around the network to get a view of them and throwing a few quickhacks makes them pretty easy. Or at least gives you an opening to get close enough to chop them into pieces.

Near the end of the game. I fought a boss that got stuck in mid air and so I just kept shooting and draining the health bar until I won. Then I discovered I couldn't get the item afterwards as it was stuck in mid air too  There's a lot to like in the game but that kind of sums it up for me. So so so messy and immersion breaking. I'm sure lots of people didn't get these bugs btw and I am playing on a base PS4 but still :(

I don't think i'm going to manage a platinum in one playthrough because of my choices but i'm quite curious about the corporate path and maybe making my play choices a bit more evil/cold blooded next time. It's definitely a game that you can play multiple times and I think as more and more patches come in it will improve.

Anyone done the Heroes mission? When I go into Jackies room I can’t get out because his bike is in the way and it’s blocking the exit. So it’s impossible to get out. fecking stupid.

Edit: Watched a YouTube video and the bike was in a different place in the garage so reloaded. Bike has now disappeared entirely.

Im struggling to play this at the moment. You have to play it slowly otherwise you have to stand waiting for the graphics to load or if you try to sprint you’ll get a bug. I think 3/4 of the missions or jobs I’ve played so far have had a bug in them that either causes me to reload or reduces the fun value because it makes the enemies easy to defeat.

Requested a refund.

I did enjoy my run through it but it is not finished. I wouldn't pay £50 for an early access game on Steam and I'm not willing to let it slide just because it's CDPR.

I will buy it again when they fix it, but like others have said, this game needed another 12-24 months in development.

Am I the only one who find brain dances as exciting as being tortured while watching Manchester United's LVG playing against Helenio Herrera's catenaccio?

Doing the final missions have reaffirmed my decision to refund.

It crashed multiple times, audio dropping in an out, invisible enemies taking me out, NPCs walking through walls. It's like they hoped no one would reach the end and left it in an even more unfinished mess than the rest of the game.

I can see me picking this back up in a year or two, or when they release an Ultimate Edition (surely they can't have the nerve to call it a Game of the Year Edition).

Pressure from investors, fans or whoever it was that caused them to rush this game out has completely spoilt the experience, even though I'd say I enjoyed it on the whole.

People on the fence about this game, hold off for the inevitable patches and maybe look at it in a years time.

I got my new monitor finally, but then I somehow launched KOTOR to see what it looks like on an ultra wide screen. Havent touched this game since.

This happened to me too :D

Got this on Christmas, played through the first couple of hours without any crashes. Then on Boxing Day I got three crashes in two hours. Today I got three crashes in the space of 30 minutes. I'm keeping the game but I won't be playing it until it's fixed. On PS4 Pro.

There's a lot of things that pull you out of the immersion but I was enjoying the story enough that I was able to excuse it.

omg those two cops at the base of V's apartment are still saying the same lines since when I first met Jackie 40 hours ago.

I really wish the girl cop would just talk about yesterday already

Whoever designed the police in this needs to be arrested by one of their own shitty designed police who spawn out the fecking ground.

Has anyone had any weird issues with menus on PS4 Pro? Things like being unable to snap between options because there's a stupid mouse style cursor on screen that you have to move around? It's really annoying during hacking because it doesn't seem to register my selection when picking the code fragments.

Starting to hate that ad!

“In 2077, What makes someone a criminal”

Someone who releases a game too fecking early.

If I hadn't bought it for £20 with that Russian VPN workaround I'd have asked for a refund but as it stands it'll remain uninstalled until it hopefully gets better in a year or so.

Is this safe to play on PC or is it worth waiting a few more weeks for patches?

Anyone heard anything on refunds? I get the message 'Thank you, your request for refund has been submitted.' but nothing else. No email or anything. I've just logged in and clicked it again just to be sure.

PC seems OK, for me at least anyway. No game breaking glitches, just the occasional amusing visual glitch.

I'd still recommend waiting a few months for them to iron out some performance concerns and hopefully polish up some crappy core mechanics (such as the police AI).

I'm in the same boat.

Seen a few posts on reddit saying they've heard nothing for over a week and still no refund. I'd imagine Xmas and New Year will be slowing things down a bit.

I got an email acknowledging my request but nothing since. They'll do feck all.

During the last three hours I had four crashes, cursed at how broken and basic the combat AI is, reloaded a couple of times because old text was stuck on the screen, sat twiddling my thumbs at the loading screens (that apparently weren't meant to exist), squinted whilst trying to read NPC dialogue, kept having to bring the cluster feck big map up as the mini map is a bloody joke, wrestled with the poorly designed menus every few minutes trying to do the million different fiddly little things the game expects you to, watched in frustration as I was stuck in the badlands trying to find a car only for them all to disappear as I got close to them. The game is an absolute fecking mess and the stuff that is there is poorly executed. 90 on Metacritic? Either the reviewers are really bad at their job or they have their tongues up the studio's arsehole.

...but I'll be playing it again tomorrow for some reason. There's just something about it that keeps bringing me back. I think it's the overall atmosphere and story.

Soooo 8/10?

(Careful now, anything less on here and you are way too critical. Or a female reviewer who deserves shit...because girls don't play games, they should be stuck in the kitchen of something...)

6/10. Come at me, feckers.

I haven't played the game as I'm not a big gamer and I'm still on PS4, I'll probably get a PS5 in a couple of years. However I really hope this doesn't kill CDPR as a developer because I think they are really talented and quite unique in there ambitions and outputs. Its no doubt a huge error and absolutely gamers are angry but I really hope they can turn it around and get the game right with more time and keep their reputation somewhat intact. Even as a casual gamer I much rather developers that take risks to create great games over the ones that play it safe. For anyone more tuned in, do you think this has the potential to ruin them?

I think thats where everyone is. There is a pretty ggood game in there somewhere.

Am now playing on Xbox one s, an hour or so in and no crashes, no bugs, some minor framedrops but nothing substantial.
Seems like a really good game so far, AI is basic but my heart was pounding during a couple of the missions, the music is awesome. The city is amazing.

Yeah, I was the same. See you in a couple of hours

Does it work well on mid rig PC now ? Or should I wait a little bit longer ? I still have it installed and updated regularly but haven't touched it yet.

We should pin a post re performance saying wait 6 months. It'll probably run well on a mid rig PC someday, but not soon. It'll probably never run well on anything below that.
Its an early access title.

Damn. Guess I will keep waiting and play other things for now then.
