Probably blaming him entirely for his gradual decline. Why is he so against Benitez?
Why is he so against Benitez?
Not keen on re-signing him either. We sold him for £80m with his best years ahead of him and bringing him back would likely require having to pay back the bulk of that whilst he's on the decline. I would've been happy for him to return two or three years ago but now now. I fear we'd have another Rooney situation on our hands where he's picked on reputation and is sitting on a long, expensive contract.
I'd rather go for a younger player who is willing to play for the team rather than just themselves.
Two years ago I definitely would but as you say, it's too late now.I have a feeling this will be Ronaldo's last season at Real. Unfortunately, I think it's too late and with him showing signs of decline, I wouldn't want us spending 50-60 million pounds on him. Think he'll be at PSG next season.
We are looking at all players, not just Ronaldo. But these players are mostly ungettable.
With Ronaldo, let’s wait and hope. There is no trainer in the world that doesn’t like him.
Because he is Fergusons man.Why is he so against Benitez?
I'm with you, Im a huge fan of Ronaldos but its clear hes on the decline. Watching him this season has been so evident and last night was the final nail. I see the statement it would make but i dont think hes worth it anymore.I have a feeling this will be Ronaldo's last season at Real. Unfortunately, I think it's too late and with him showing signs of decline, I wouldn't want us spending 50-60 million pounds on him. Think he'll be at PSG next season.
Because he is Fergusons man.
If he comes back, what do we do with the #7 shirt?
Would we, though? I'm pretty sure our merchandise sponsorships (including shirt sponsorships) are multi-year deals worth a fixed amount of money.I find it quite peculiar when people quote the potential cost of getting Ronaldo back. I get the point of him potentially being a player in decline but the cost to me is a moot point. If we did happen to sign him, the club would make the money back twice over with merchandise sales. That's of course not a reason to bring him back but I reckon if we spent say £80 million, it would be a sound investment from a commercial point of view. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if having him back resulted in us taking over Madrid as the club with the most turnover. Interested to get everyone's thoughts.
Hey are. You don't get any money from shirt sales besides the profit made in the clubs megastore.Would we, though? I'm pretty sure our merchandise sponsorships (including shirt sponsorships) are multi-year deals worth a fixed amount of money.
