In all fairness there was a time when it wasn't an outrageous statement at all. It was only after a couple of years here Ronaldo showed himself to be the far better of the two.

Ribery is not on the same level as Ronaldo though. Real Madrid can win without him. Take Ronaldo out of that team though and they're still a top team but nothing like they are now looking at them.

What I'm proud about...is that we had him for five years and certainly helped him be the amazing player he is today. I think he knows that United fans loved him and appreciated him far more than Real fans ever will. He never has said a bad word about us..only great appreciation and love of his time with us. I'm so glad I saw him in a united shirt..

Started like he was gonna score 10. Made Maicon, Kompany and Zabeleta look silly and then drifted out of the game some what. Still should have had a few decisions that went against him.
Was ok, but hardly world beating.
First 30 minutes from Real were brilliant. 2nd half they sat back and then when Arbeloa got sent off they played the rest of the game smartly. Not much attacking but dangerous counter attacking only saved by the ref letting City players getting away with every foul. If the ref had done his job he would have dished out 4 yellow cards for fouls on Ronaldo alone.

Good performance. Should have done better when he tried to dink it over Hart then failed to pass to Benzema when it came back to him. Other than that, very impressive. Nice touches and passes, powerful and direct and can feel very hard done by from the referee.

Best played for us for 11 seasons and during one period was our top goal scorer for 5 out of 6 seasons. People forget or are ignorant of just how long and how much he contributed to our history.
He played for us for longer than most and scored more goals than most. For those of us lucky enough to see him play we also know how much he was involved in play. There are no sgtats from those days showing assists, shots on target, successful passes etc.
