Cristiano Ronaldo

How is it mis-leading? LvG is content so far, he'll wait and assess the current crop. While Ronnie was just being polite.
Van Gaal was saying he has a month left and he is giving everyone a chance, the headline makes out he has said ''We have a great squad that needs no new players'' all along he has said he intends to add but is waiting to assess his squad.

Ronaldo was total tongue and cheek with Paddy Crerand saying ''you never know'' and the headline makes it look as though he has come out and said it is a real possibility when he was answering a joke question from Crerand.

Basically, if you woke up this morning and saw the headline ''Van Gaal content with squad'' you would hit the meltdown button. Where as when watching it, I felt no concern atall...didn't even pick up that he'd said it that much.

This is the sentient I disagree with. Players make themselves managers just give them a platform on which to do it. Ronaldo made himself.

Agree - he was at the right setup, and there is no doubt that SAF has been a huge influence on him, and helped him develop. But Ronaldo made himself into the best player in the world.

Was just watching some of the early vids on YouTube - his debut etc.

What a player - best player I have ever seen play.

Still want us to have a player like that - the kind that the entire stadium gets on their feet as they receive the ball...

Sky Sports are getting worse and worse. Reporting today that Van Gaal said he's not buying any more players and that Ronaldo 'refuses to rule out a return to United'. When you watch the respective interviews both of these reports are bullshit! Van Gaal wasn't being serious and Ronaldo was straight put on the spot by Paddy and just said the generic 'who knows about the future' line.

Yes, everyone is really being shitty with their reporting of United news to be honest. Same with the Scholes comments about Rooney, and Van Gaal comments regarding the tour

.

I'm hoping Adnan can be that guy...

I'll be pleased if he develops to half the player Ronaldo is.
Don't you think he's showing the potential to become one of the top players in the world? Still only 19...

He's showing the potential to become a good player, but definitely not one of the top players in the world (imo).
Well I know it's been said a lot but if you look back to Ronaldo at 18/19, Januzaj isn't 'half the player' at all. Who knows what could happen with him under Van Gaal in the next 3/4 years!

Agree that he will probably improve under Van Gaal. Comparing him to Ronaldo isn't appropriate though, as Ronaldo is a transformational, once in a lifetime sort of player.

I hope Sparky, as the ambassedor of Ronaldo Day, has some big plans for us this year?
I'm planning a march from ot to Madrid, uniform is tight denim hot pants, pink t shirts and large quantities of Hair gel. John terry will accompany us in chains and be placed on a bonfire when we get there as we mournfully sing viva ronaldo until he comes home

Yooo!

Imagine this. Ronaldo moves to New York City. Owned by City. His wife lives in NY apparently, so would be an ideal move. He would have the Beckham effect, both good players who've won everything there is too win. Both made there name here as well.

Then as part of the City deal, he'll play for Manchester City temporarily . That I can see happening in a few years.

Ronnie is more of an LA guy if he ever moves to America. His girlfriend is a model/actress as well and he doesn't like the cold.

He definitely contributed to it with a great professional attitude, but i think it's fair to say he wouldn't be the player he is now if he'd stayed at Sporting.

I'm guessing he will eventually come back, whens he's contract up? 2018 aged 33? I'd have that every day of the week.

He talks about still being in contact with United players. I cant imagine many left who he is buddies with besides Rooney.

The old guards have left.

No. There are a few players around his age that have shown more potential and look more likely to be one of the best in the world, then you have a ton of players 2 years older or so that are on a totally different level and were showing more at his age.

He's a promising prospect but you're overhyping him. I can't see him becoming one of the very best in world football, a rung below that perhaps but not the very best. That'll be the likes of Neymar, Gotze, Pogba or even Draxler and guys a bit older like Hazard.

A bit surreal seeing him live. Also before the game and at half time and everything he kept going over to our side to talk to giggs, nani, etc. You can just tell he still loves us.

All of those players you named are a few years older than Januzaj. He's just had his first main season in an awful one under Moyes. We all know Van Gaal is great with young players and by the time he's 21/22 - another 2/3 seasons away - he could've improved massively under Louis.

I really can't see why people keep repeating this. So what if he still loves United? I am sure every single player who left us still loves United, even cnuts like Tevez still say good things about the club, that doesn't change the fact they love being somewhere else more than here, but for some reason people still keep repeating that.

I know its only a minor injury but has seemed to have effect on Ronaldos game for a few months now, id hate to see his carear go the way of Luis Ronaldos

Bro, it's love. You can't describe the feeling in your heart. Like when I see a past player, you feel affection, as they were a positive segment in your life.
