Am I reading too much into the fact it's £93m with Spurs signing Coentrao separately, rather than £78m plus Coentrao? It's almost like Madrid went out of their way to break the Ronaldo record, showing that Bale is now the main man.
They are very similar players but like all great players are perfectly capable of playing in the same team. Madrid may went them both to compete with Messi and Neymar.
