I think really #Legitimo should be included in the Caf tagline.

RedCafe: The leading Manchester United forum #Legitimo

So, someone needs to hike over to the Marriott in Wilmslow and see if Ronaldo is peeping out of one of the windows.

Or perhaps see if there are any very Portuguese-looking security guards in the lobby.

Or, in fact, any very Ronaldo-looking guests in the bar.

Some ITK on twitter called Olly seems to think so.

That KingJonno fella' who got a few things right in the past as well. Between the number 7 being left, Bale, Ronaldos tweet regarding contracts and what Fergie said about a transfer prior to leaving I assumed speculation regarding this would be at a fever pitch since it just makes so much sense. The media, oddly enough, seems to have just left it behind at this point. I cant understand it !

From the moment Olly said this deal was legitimo, I've been sold. Yeah I'm with you on this, surprised no outlets picked up on this yet.

I think there could be a few deals linked together.

And I think Bale is the key. If he goes to Madrid, then Ronaldo moving is much more likely. If he doesn't, then I really can't see Real selling Ronaldo.

If Ronaldo does come here, then I think that would subsequently impact Rooney - either we would be more comfortable selling him (even to Chelsea), or that Rooney would be more inclined to stay.

A dreamers perspective.

A realist's take is that whatever happens with Bale, Ronaldo isn't going anywhere this summer.
And none of this impacts Rooney at all, he'll stay as we're not foolish enough to sell to Chelsea.

My 5 successful steps for Man Utd to sign Ronaldo:

Step 1: Hire private investigators to look into Madrid's relationship with the local government, etc
Step 2: Put a £100 million bid in for Bale.
Step 3: Wait for Madrid to bid £110, then withdraw interest in Bale.
Step 4: Allow Madrid to sign Bale, then send the information from the investigators to the authorities.
Step 5: After Madrid go into freefall because of anomalies in their finances, sign Ronaldo.

Profit.

What are muppets if they're not dreamers?

Agree that your more realistic take is far more likely!

So has it been confirmed that he is actually in Manchester, or is everyone just jumping at a rumour.

If Gill was still at OT he would have kidnapped him and not allowed him to leave Manchester.

What the feck are they scouting him for?

It does sound comical - although thinking about it, could it possibly from the perspective of trying to ascertain any drop-off in his physical ability/movement? I only thought of this because I couldn't for the life of me think of any other reason for them to watch him!!

What's so strange about it? We were probably unaware that he might become available for the best part of the last 4 years while he's been away at Madrid, we haven't scouted him thoroughly enough to put a bid at this point. We could take another season to scout him and determine his possible value to the club before making an offer, we have time.

Do we really need to send people to have a look? David, the muppets need feeding! Sign him up!!!

Seriously?

Seriously?
Yes, we're United and we scout our players properly (and then prepare our bid as it should be prepared for 3 weeks, 500-page long bid not some shitty bid other clubs submit).

Just send this thread to Neville as a dossier and he should be able to handle the rest himself.

It's already August 15 though, there isn't enough time to prepare a bid unfortunately. Maybe next Summer.
