Cristiano Ronaldo

Yep, and that annoyed me too but Ronnie was more inclined to throw a teenage girl type strop than any other player I've seen.

Also, if he was going to leave Madrid then I could see him coming back here over a move to Paris or London.

Don't forget that as fans we only see them for 90 minutes per week (usually).

How players act in games is probably not a fair way to judge them*. Based on comments from SAF and his former players, he appears to be extremely well liked.

*except for Suarez, obviously

Didn't he basically sub himself off in one game? I think it was a game at Old Trafford against Newcastle and he just walked down the tunnel after he'd been hurt.

Or maybe I'm imagining all this.

The club indulged him a hell of alot, remember. So, it was no surprise how he'd react in certain situations on the pitch.

But, like said above, he seemed well liked and respected amongst everyone within the club. Don't think you could say the same about Madrid.

Yeah I remember that. He acted like a spoilt brat at many times that last season and in a way I was glad to see the back of him as he clearly didn't want to play here anymore.

If he came back though that's as big a sign as you need that he actually does love playing for this club and I would welcome him back

I'd love love love to have him here as a player because I still think he's one of the all time greats (certainly in my time) but his attitude has always irked me.

His "attitude" didn't stop him from performing on the pitch.

He's a superstar, live with it!

Doesn't he have like 3 properties over there? In which case selling one really means little.

Could just be making way for this new huge contract and buying a villa worth triple the amount.

It was against Sunderland, was also the game Vidic scored that injury time winner. That annoyed me as well

"I think that Cristiano will end his professional career at Real Madrid. And that's not all, I can tell all Madridistas that we will soon win la Decima with Cristiano," Perez told Punto Pelota.

"I don't know whether the Madridistas are very concerned about the contract renewal of Cristiano. He still has a contract for two more years."

For once, I agree with Perez. I mean there are not many options left for Ronaldo. I can't see him going to Italy.

Hi only motivation that I can see is to pursue a career that will ensure he is remembered as one of the all time greats. Money I think is very much secondary to that. For that reason I can only see him moving to a very small pool of teams of which we are one.

Chemical Perez.

That David Johnson on twitter is adamant he is joining Chelsea he said it a few weeks ago and put £450 I hope he isn't right about it but he has a history of coming up with correct information. It is hard to imagine after his assumed falling out with Mourinho but I would be disappointed if he ended up there.

The way the current team is set up I don't think we really need him in all honesty and considering age and cost I think the money would be best spent elsewhere. Amazing player though.

How?

I would take Ronaldo back in a heartbeat, no matter the cost but I can't see a us even trying. By the way, I don't see his age as a problem. He's taken great care of his body, he will have a long career.

He can be as adamant as he wants

Ronaldo and Jose don't have this special relationship that people think they do. Just because he has moved back to Chelsea they think Ronaldo will follow? No chance.

50-60 million about 250 a week for a 29 year old who isn't quite a winger isn't quite a striker what he does is offer goals. I'm unsure over how he will age, he is reliant on that pace and power and it will diminish as he gets older for that price you want 5-6 years at least out of a player. We have goals in abundance in all honesty. It is impressive how many goals are attackers scored when you consider the kind of service that they got at times this year. Bar Carrick who else in our midfield was had a good season? Or was good for more than ahandful of games? Despite that Van Persie was top scorer, Rooney got 26 goals and Hernandez was scoring for fun at times. I would much rather use that money to get a couple of quality players in to help that midfield.

Getting Ronaldo would mean having to move everybody around to accommodate him for me he is an amazing player but not what we need.

We need a good midfield partner for Carrick someone who will link the midfield and attack which will stop Rooney having to drop so deep when they are not getting the ball and in turn stop Van Persie being so isolated as he was at times.

I still think there's something to that bet: He put 15k on van Persie coming here, but 450 on Ronaldo? If he has that much money to burn, he's put it big on him going elsewhere, and advertised him putting some money on him going to Chelsea to lower the odds on somewhere like PSG or United. Chelsea went from 5/1 to below evens that day, and now they're back to 5/1. United fluctuated the opposite way, by going 5/2 to 5/1 and back again.

The guy sounds like a bell end anyway, he thinks the best thing he can do for his girlfriend and daughter is move them to Vegas. Yeah, very family oriented that place last time I checked.

He is somebody who is usually a good source so it is no surprise when people listen to him when he is so confident about something. Ronaldo what not be going to Chelsea for free they would be paying him crazy money more than he gets at Madrid. I wouldbe disapointed but not surprised if he goes. Money talks.

Like I said it seems unlikely but ii is something to look out for.

He did, and for me it was easily his worst moment.

If it had been any other player Fergie would have kicked him out of the club.

I doubt it, considering this is what Fergie said about the incident:

"Cristiano had a kick on the hip. Wayne Rooney had something similar last season and it can be very painful. We'll see how he is on Monday morning, but we have Aalborg at home in the Champions League on Wednesday and Spurs at the weekend, so we will freshen it up. There was no need for Cristiano to come to the bench, though. The best thing is to get treatment straightaway. It was the sensible thing to do."

I reckon he would have said something, or not commented on it at all if he felt anything negative about it, rather than outright defend and then lie about it. I don't think he did and his explanation makes sense.

Hes in the know about a few things to do with Utd, because he is friends with a lot of the younger players. How he would know about Ronaldo who is a Madrid player I have no idea and frankly, I call bullshit on any prediction he makes regarding him.

There is some right romanticised bollocks talked about Ferguson on here, not least about the disciplining of his players.

Players fecked about over contracts, asked to leave, Scholes refused to play a match and went home instead, Keane could go out get pissed get in a fight and wake up in a cell ultimately get away with it.

It probably was a stupid thing to do, to leave the pitch before the sub was ready to come on but it was hardly this unforgivable act that many on here made it out to be.

You don't know everything/everybody he knows, I doubt in now in all honesty. He was quite confident at the time.

I could claim to know Ronaldo personally and say the same thing to anyone that called bullshit.

We know how he gets his information, through his friends at Utd, the younger players. Any information that he claims to know which even the younger players at Utd wouldn't know, is probably bullshit. Saying 'well we don't know for certain that he doesn't know Ronaldo' won't convince me otherwise, because it's a pretty shit point.

I didn't claim he knew Ronaldo I said you have no idea how he found out so all you are doing is assuming. He could have gotten the information from another source.

That's the thing, I don't believe he has any sources other than the younger Utd players, and they probably don't know Ronaldos plans anyway.

Oh, he 'could have another source'?!? So could I when I say Iniesta is coming to Utd.

 Your arguing for arguments sake. He is somebody who has made predictions in the past while you are not.

Like I said your assuming you have no idea just to rule it out because you have a hunch is fine but I wouldn't do that. He has provided information before that has been accurate and that is all we have to go by. He doesn't spout his mouth every week once in a while he comes out with something and it ends up being true. He has a good track record.

I don't think Ronaldo is going to Chelsea now because of his relationship with Jose but I wouldn't be surprised he seems unhappy at Real currently. Like someone said he bet £15k on Van Persie and has only put £450 on this so he seems unsure himself.

Im just saying, he has got things right before, things regarding the younger Utd players, staying or leaving, and the RVP transfer. These can all be explained by his relationship with the Utd players. However, this doesn't make him in the know about what a RM players is going to do and who Chelsea can and can't buy, so there's reason not to trust this prediction as much as his ones about Morrison or Fryers for example. In fact, there's more reason not to trust it.

Also, how do you know I'v never made predictions? I predicted Cantonas retirement and the signing of Veron, now believe me when I say that makes me qualified to definitely declare that Cavani will be going to Man city.

Oh sorry mate that was before the age of twitter and social media where everything you say is on record, I didn't know we had are very own 'itk'

I'm not saying your wrong there is sense to what your saying. I'm just saying that doesn't mean you can completely rule it out. I agree he won't go to Chelsea but he may know other players from other clubs or he may know someone who is close to Ronaldo these are all possibilities.

Cavani is a a great player at least on Van Persie's level will be great to have him in the league but City signing him would be annoying.
