You're crazier than the meltdown guy, at least he was honest
I’m just as obsessed as you. Just on the other side of the fence. He was pretty meh tonight, surely even you could see that?

Got to admit it hurts me a little seeing him play for the opposition, didn't like it against Madrid and didn't like it today either. Grew up watching him run down the wing for us, but he left almost 10 years ago and he's still better than any of our attackers by some margin.

Pretty anonymous tonight apart from that 1 chance vs De Gea.

Juventus play at pedestrian pace compared to Madrid, no wonder he doesn't look at his best yet.

Two shots two on target. He's still quick. His set pieces, crossing is still incisive and psychologically he's a big boost to them. He was better in the first half but so were Juve.

Liking a player and disliking him isn't the same, it's one thing to follow someone you like watching play, it's another to follow someone you actively dislike just to criticize. So yes, different kinds of obsession.

Anyway, if you understand the game and have been following Juve you'll know how great he's been. Juve play the way Juve play and it's Ronaldo that's adapting to Juve, not the other way around. He's not playing at Real Madrid or Barcelona, it's a very different game now.

They scored early and when that happens then he's not going to get more than one or two chances to score, they'd prefer to win 1-0 than 3-2. The adaptability to play with or without Mandzukic and with Dybala being used to his full potential will be very valuable and as an Argentina fan I'm sure you'll apreciate that. A bit too cautious once again from Allegri but if the clean sheets keep happening then they'll happily score a few less goals.

You do the same thing with Messi with those deluded posts where you say that he isn't great at transition or at holding the ball like Fellaini, so I don't think you have the right to call out others for that.

I comment on every football subject since I watch a lot of football... I don't obsess over Lionel Messi and have 99% of my posts here be about him. You have 57 posts here, 37 of them are Cristiano Ronaldo related and 20 of them are about me being biased.

I justified the criticisms I've made and I stand by them just like I stood by the predicitons I made this time last year. Messi not being as good at holding the ball up as Fellaini wasn't a delusional thing to say... it was an example made to explain how little of the sport that person was judging players by, not me criticizing Messi for not being 2 meters tall.

Still one of the best & he didn’t even change gear during the game. When he did they scored! Class from Ronnie at the end, hand on heart & waving to the crowd the respect he gives the fans is brilliant. Utd were his parents, the boy grew up & moved away but the boy never forgot his family.

He has had a slightly below par start to the season if you ask me. Was very good vs Napoli, been ok-ish for most of the other games. To call it great is mental but from what I’ve seen from your posts it’s no point in discussing with you; you are worse than Cal? and will «protect» CRonaldo no matter what. Excuses and this and that if he doesn’t perform and overrating every single game of his. Even I can admit when Messi has bad games (like Roma last season) or if he don’t seem to bother that much (WC this year) but you are unable to admit that CR is less than perfect every single time he steps out on the pitch, it’s mental.

As for him adapting to Juve and not the other way around. Lol. How much adapting do you need when you can do whatever you want and the teams’ play is built around you? He averages 8 finishes per game in the league and teammates are adament to try to pass to him whenever he is within a sniff of the opposition goal. It also helps that the standard of his team are absolutely miles ahead of the opposition.

He moved better than any of our players, shot better than any of them and got an assist.

If people are saying Pogba played well then Ronaldo had a cracking game.

Yeah hopefully Dybala can kick on this season. He has been floating just below the absolute top-tier of players for a while now and soon being 25, it’s time. Been absolute crap for Argentina so far, hasn’t scored and generally not that much involved either. But will probably get his big chance if Messi doesn’t come back.

I also have one positive thing to say actually:p

His crossing of the ball is really good. Underrated aspect of his game I’d say. Credit where credit is due.

Genuine question, do assists count when a deflection alters the path of the ball that much?

What’s your reason for this comment?
None.

Average normally is the definition of bad, while for me normal is not being very good or exceptional.

By the way not entirely true regarding United players, Pogba under the right management has all the conditions to be more influential for United than him at Juventus. Betancur was their minus player today, while their fullbacks, Dybala, Pjanic were their best players.

Chill out it wasn't nothing personal, only football discussion. :)

Alright I wouldn't say Ronaldo is head and shoulders above his teammates at this moment like Messi (sorry couldn't think of anyone else right now...), but I'd say he is the best performing Juve player so far this season.
You might have a point, its just the fact he is playing on a well oiled machine where everyone has their role, reason why I mentioned Pjanic.

Glad that we didn't spend an insane amount of time signing whenever Ronaldo touched the ball. Creepy cameraman following him around hoping he would acknolwedge the crowd was a put off, but I think we handled this much better than the Real Madrid trip

Not that wouldn't be true too.

Soft. One day you get there. How is Brasil mood mate? Not part of the topic I know.

Mood is bad. According with the last polls Trumpinho is going to be elected president next sunday.

Todos os racistas e homofobicos sairam do armário e estao atacando as pessoas abertamente agora.

I tought there was a hesistancy to him last night, like he had two minds about playing against us and it messed with his performance.

His bpitw days seem to be coming to an end and he was running on fumes yesterday but still very much an elite goal threat and decent dribbler in tight spaces. Decent performance by him but I do think Juve need to get Costa into that side to inject some express pace. Looked one paced for most of the night and were fortunate to play a shockingly set up United side.

I'm serious. He didn't seem with it. Perhaps that's due to other things than us, but he wasn't burning with the temper tantrum intensity he usually plays with.

Its simpler than that. Unlike Zidane who was resting him much more last season he can't play 2 games on the space of 72 hours imo.

could well be; I'm just not used to him looking flat. He usually bursts into life at some point in a game, and he's also usually flailing his arms like crazy whether he's doing well or not. Was just very subdued-looking all game yesterday.

Eh 33 years are 33, he might want to convince us it makes no difference but he has to save much more energy than in the past. Now if he feels the same at Old Trafford or not is other story, probably not, but this Juventus team when they go ahead they like to control the game, totally different setup than Real Madrid.
