he play against us or not!!, Juventus are a team we enjoy beating every time we meet them.

Anyway after seeing it, it'll be one game at best. Don't worry, he'll play against us at OT and will score refusing to celebrate. :D

Imagine if Ronaldo gets three games (in a 13 game competition) for this while Douglas Costa got 4 (in a 38 game competition) for what he did... :wenger:

Just saw it. He’s went for a hair grab which is violent conduct regardless of how much effort he’s put into it. Maybe red is harsh, but what the feck is doing trying grab someone’s hair in the first place? Idiot.
That's not even an hair grab, he just patted him in the head.
If you watch the video it is 100% clear.

Bit more force and he could've ripped his head out, disgusting. Hope he gets banned forever.

Cannot have headhunters in the UK.

The refs seem intent to justify the need for VAR in the CL.

Won't help, if you look at the Bundesliga these crappy German refs can't even get it right with the help of TV pictures... They just had to ban their VAR head ref Stark because he made obviously wrong decisions from the VAR commando room...

One day we'll laugh at the times football was played without VAR.

I get that it's not yet perfect but why not use all the help you can get? Especially in a sport with so much money involved. It's just ridiculous.

He scratches down the back of his head. It's a pretty clear red.

There was a kick and when the Valencia player fell, he tried to grab him up...by his hair.

I wasn't convinced at first but after seeing the replay, I think Ronaldo deserved the red card.

Yes it is 100% clear, it’s a grab. A weak grab, but a grab none the less. Fingers do not curl for a pat.

Yeah I agree he clearly used his long nails to scratch his head , at least 1 year ban.All this violence cannot be tolerated

The kick with his left foot right at the start is what initiates it. I thought he'd just done the head grab thing which was nothing much really. He could probably have gotten two yellow cards for each incident rather than a straight red.

I think the total opposite. The money is the shit part of the game. You can spend billions, but ultimately the difference between winning and losing can be a mistake by a referee. It's brilliant and should be celebrated. Instead we'll get a world where beach ball goals get ruled out. Woo.

How can the player who is crying get the red card? I don't understand. Surely it is the meanies who made him cry who should get the punishment?

Thank goodness this view isn't mainstream.

That makes no sense to me at all.

You are happy with human errors of someone that's not even participating in the sport and can decide the outcome?! Why?

Ok, hadn't seen this angle yet. He actually knee'd him in the nuts, didn't he?

You can give a red card for both those actions tbh.

Haven't seen the video of it, but I hope it gets rescinded, would like to see him back at Old Trafford.

I can see Uefa giving him the one game when it's appealed. They will want him for the spectacle, he'll be at Old Trafford. I can't understand how any United fan wanting to see him play against us, we need to win:lol:. Him missing gives us a huge boost.

It's bizarre! He's bound to score a goal and not celebrate.

I can't see a kick at any angle but as someone that absolutely sees red when my hair is pulled, I'd be glad if the person that pulled my hair also saw red.. and cried.

He can still pop over and say hello. Doesn't need to be playing in order to do that :D

They are people who are probably bigger Ronaldo fans than fans of any club.

I've met plenty of those.

Don't think he really tugged on the hair. Yes, he grabbed like a bunch, but it looked more generic than aggressive. We have seen players pushing each other's chest and not really getting sent off.
I think the ref over-reacted.

He's their key threat, but this could easily be the last chance we get to see him, so really hope the ban is either 1 game, or rescinded.

Only a second return in 9 years
It's a bit unfortunate for Ronaldo from what I've seen but why on earth would you care more about "seeing him again" more than weakening our rival in the group? His absence could improve our chances of qualifying/finishing 1st.

Exactly. I don't understand why any ManUtd fan wants to see Ronaldo playing against us. Without him our chance to qualify will improve.

When Beckham returned to Old Trafford, I was glad to see him and it was nice for the fans. Becks is a United fan too so it was extra special for him.

With Ronaldo, no thanks. He's too bloody good and I care more about United winning to be honest. He can return in his 40s.

It's a group game, doesn't have the importance of a knock-out game, so would like to see him back at OT. Hope the red card is overturned. Don't know what the ref (5th, 6th, 7th...whoever he was) was thinking. He is crying like a little bitch was weird though. I mean, was it because Messi scored a hattrick the other night and he didn't get a chance to match that? It was the first group game, didn't get the emotions.

A little elbow to the face, a little knee in the groin and a little hair grabbing. I find it hard to feel bad about him sitting out a match.

He kicked the guy (softly) then pulled his hair (also slightly), the reaction from the defender was rather dramatic, which is what probably got him send off. Now what is that word I'm looking for.

Ah, wait, I know, it's karma!

Also, it's a good thing he will miss the United game.

Harsh perhaps but that red won’t be rescinded given the footage shows he did what the official said he did.

So, there is a picture floating around of him grabbing the opponents hair. Cant post images so here is the link.

He got sent of for that, whats the world coming to.
