I don’t cheer City goals which are not scored by Ronaldo. If your son played for City and scored for them one day, would you cheer for him?

Hypothetically speaking, of course you could also choose to blame him for scoring for City, and not giving him food as punishment.

What the actual feck

I also have no idea why you're so rude and confrontational, especially in light of being incredibly wrong. But okay, one's ignorance should be corrected, here's a selection of quotes from English speaking Juventus (Juventuz) forum, knock yourself out with the search function
...
If there are stats of highest turnovers among Juventus players, I'm sure he'll be #1 on the list. He shouldn't participate in build up play anymore or as often as he does and hope his fanboys don't bring instances of that odd cross or pass which happens in like once in a bluemoon. Over these past few months, lots of dangerous counter attacks have originated from either Ronaldo making a misplaced pass or getting dispossessed easily. It was funny to see him getting bullied by Torino players yesterday who found it so easy to steal the ball off him.

Blue flag right there.

Ronaldo isn't your fecking son!

Old Ronaldo in a pep team? Far from a perfect match - much better for us then them getting Kane.
Plus it kills the stupid idea that he is somehow a legend at a United. He is a Madrid legend, a football legend and it’s cool that he used to play here and he was brilliant for us but that’s where it ends.

Ronnie would completely overshadow Bruno and make him sad.

Besides, he couldn't wait to leave United when he was on the way up, why do so many want him back now he's on the way down? Let him go to City and complete his destiny by joining the dark side.

You’re a weirdo.

The only reason to ever cheer a city goal is if it benefits United, ie if they score a goal which hands us the title.

Why? Schmeichel played for city as well but most people choose to tune that out.

He won a Ballon D’or and reached a level that very few if any in the club’s history has. His numbers and accolades for us are comparable or superior to what players like Henry, Drogba, Kaka etc achieved at their respective clubs which made them legends, so why is he not a United legend?

Either go to City and piss on your legacy or go to Paris and team up with your arch rival. Proper rock and a hard place Ronnie finds himself in-between.

That's a really, really weird comparison. A bit disconcerting, to be honest.
It’s just one situation where it doesn’t matter when a certain player scored for the rivals from the club you support.

Henry, Drogba and Kaka never fecked off at the age of 23.

What the actual feck is this? This is a terrifying post.

Yes they haven't but let's be real they are a lot closer to winning than us or most other teams. If previous success is indictive of potential to win a ucl than maybe he should join Nottingham Forest. I mean they have as many ucls as Juve.
Forest aren’t trying and repeatedly failing due to the managers feck ups though.

Not sure why so many are getting their knickers in a twist. The love for Ronaldo has had over a decade to fade to the point where I don't care too much for him. He's not really done much to keep the relationship thriving with fans.

The bigger shame is one of the best players of all time going to City, even if he is past his peak.

For those saying to swap him with Cavani, what a kick in the teeth that would be for Edi after we worked hard to convince him to stay another year.

I don't give a rats ass if he goes there. He isn't half the player he was couple of years ago.

Fergie tried and failed 24 times and won twice. Either way your point doesn't make sense as eventually as long as City are trying and spending they will eventually win it. If you think that because City have never won the ucl they will never go on to win it I don't know what to tell you.

Maybe it makes me sound like a bitter old get but fans that follow and support individual players instead of clubs are weirdos and I hate it.

Irrelevant. They didn’t achieve what he did at that age either. And he left at 24.
If he had retired then, would he be a United legend?
He isnt an United legend cause what he achieved and he achieved a lot. There's a difference between being a great player for a club and being a club legend.

If he goes to City then it shows that United means feck all to him.

Of course not, but would you cheer for your son or your brother or your best childhood friend or your best mate though in same situation?
Is Ronaldo any of those things to you?

You can just say you're a Ronaldo fan not a United fan.

One poster mentioned his relationship with the fans. Does anyone remember him mentioning the club or the fans. He mentioned and talked about Fergie and they have a great relationship but the connection between him and United has always been rather one sided. In the sense of fans still loving him and official Instagram account showing his goals and mentioning his accolades.

The daft celebration after he scored against us for Juventus and the fact we were in about 30 seconds of that 90 minute film he made about himself showed Utd meant feck all to him I think

He tried to leave Utd the summer after we won the League and the CL. Fergie managed to convince him to stay one more year.

I've never ever got the impression of Ronaldo having any fondness for Utd or the Utd fans. Fergie? Yeah I do think Ronaldo has loyalty and affection for Fergie but I think it ends there.

I could only speak for myself, but I would still cheer for him when he scores, except against us.
Anyway he is not the first United legend moving to City, Denis Law and big Pete did before him, their legendary status didn’t really diminish even after the played for them (at least for me).

:lol::wenger::eek:

Yeah I think he doesnt care one bit about United or I thought that was well established.
