Again talking about Messi. He really lives rent free in his head. Same as his fanboys.

Anyone remember the Charlie Sheen meltdown (early 2010's?)?

Spoke out against the showrunner, got himself sacked, then went on a bunch on crazy interviews saying he had tiger blood etc..

Whatever the hell happened there seems very similar to what Ronaldo is doing now. Needs good people around him.

Most of what he said is true. The problem is that most people are muppets and because the clips that were released first focused on the bad, most people made up their mind about him before the full interview came out. Funny enough, had Morgan released the Glazier stuff first most people would have been looking forward to the interview and would be calling Ronaldo a hero. Don't get me wrong. This was a "let me go" interview. You can't say that kind of stuff about the manager and expect to play. But that doesn't change the fact that Morgan manipulated most of you into making an opinion before you even see the whole interview...

Well, at least Charlie was bipolar, sorry bi-winning and created his own catchphrase out of it.

Ironic.

Maybe his team mates are getting sick and tired of it all being about this 37 year old baby? He should have thought about that before releasing the interview prior to a major tournament the big teflon iron suited wax faced man child!

Sadly, I think he's got all the wrong people around him but you're right, somebody needs to have a word in his ear and tell him that he's handling fame very poorly at this juncture.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he went to play for a new club, it lasted 6 months and then he goes on an indefinite sabbatical afterwards.

Well that's one way of looking at it.
Imagine that, it was us who got manipulated, not Ronaldo.

Interesting I must say.

What are you banging on about man?

Doesn’t matter how the interview came out, talk shit about your manager and act like a massive victim despite fans seeing with their own eyes how you have disrespected your manager since pre-season and played utter shite in the many many minutes he’s given you, people will make up their minds that your a self serving dickhead who wouldn’t have said a word about the Glazers if you were playing every week.

I’d argue, the Glazer stuff he added to manipulate people like you, in reality he’s pissed he’s not playing is all, and wants out and to tell the World he’s a victim rather than a guy struggling to come to terms with the winding down of his career.

If a minute where someone says virtually nothing new about the owners is that important to you and makes someone a hero then there is something properly wrong with the way you assess information.

Either that or this is the 4th times he throw hissy fit at the club this season?

Yea the spin to make it out as some sort of noble undertaking rather than the naked self interest it is in actuality has been interesting...

None of the concerns about the club voiced were new and they existed during our worst season on points total in the PL era last year yet he didn't seem care to voice anything since he was still the main man and playing nonstop. It's only after being marginalized that he's suddenly noticed these issues? Hell no

He's pissed about not being what he was anymore and being treated his age much more than him genuinely caring about the state of the club. If he truly did he wouldn't have a personal vendetta against a manager talked with trying to turn things around nor look to undermine him every chance he gets. He wouldn't have been shopping himself to Man City and Chelsea either.

The Glazer stuff was pure lip service for fans to nibble on and not see the situation through for what it really is, an aging star in decline lashing out and throwing fits over not being afforded special status/priviledge anymore for the first time in nearly 20 years. He can't handle his current reality and seeing his longtime rival still bossing it and being a favorite for a WC victory at the same time probably exacerbates things even further.

And lets be serious for one second his criticisim is utterly daft, whoever claims that it was noble is a few sandwich short of a picnic. The man criticism were about the commercial side of the club which is something that predates the Glazer is how this Football has been one of the wealthiest without sugar daddies since the 80s and the other criticism which a mix of laughable and worrying is that he seems to think that it's a good thing when owners meddle and don't let Football professionals do their job, apparently the DOF and club president shouldn't be the ones leading the club.

Ronnie's been called a bad apple. Surely when you remove that, things have to get better, otherwise what's the point?

Ronaldo doesn't have any holdup play, it's similar to Lukaku. Therefore he can't play as the sole striker. You play your best attackers as close to the goal as possible. Football doesn't have to be a game exclusively for marathon runners. It's up to the coach to find a system that fits your best players. Mourinho said something similar recently. If you play Ronaldo as the no.9, you deserve everything you get.

Sure, you can bench him. But then things have to be better.
Has that not already been the case this season? You seem to want this trend to continue until perpetuity to believe it?

Plus he called Arnold a president. Doesnt seem to have a club about the functioning of the club and clearly said what someone else said to him to say it. Wont go into jacuzzi, that's just laughable.

Calling him a president isn't actually an issue. In french and presumably in portuguese it would be the term, in this case it's likely a simple translation of the function.

Yeah, but I think its due to the fact he doesnt have an idea of how things work, as you said he thinks it's normal owners meddle with the team and talk to the players and so on.

I don't think that it has any link with his understanding of the club organigram. I know that I could easily use the term president instead of chairman simply because it has the same meaning and I'm more familiar with the former. The only issue with what he said is when he implied that the owners should run the show, that part is problematic.

The anti-Glazer stuff that was less than a minute out of 90?

Yeah, what a hero he is.

Now it's Morgan's fault, not CR37s? Dearie me, fanboys really will use any excuse to defend their hero.

I’m not his biggest fan, far from it…
But to be fair, he was asked a question about it and he gave a fairly appropriate answer.

Is it though? Someone like Perez is quite involved at Real and extremely successful. It makes a lot of sense that Ronaldo sees such a constellation as how things should be, it won him a few CL titles.

"How dare you question other people about something I did that may affect them, while I don't say anything!" Basically.

What a shitbag.

Yeeeeey, a win!

The more I see these stuffs, the more I think that it's the worst part of the interview. While I have an issue with the way he handled Football matters, the idea that he puts that much value on being followed by bots is shocking.

Perez isn't the owner, he is the club president...

Edit: And for United it is absolutely an issue since the owner don't have the skills to do it.

No. He was fairly decent last season. This season he has been shit. I don't know the situation behind the scenes of course but when he slates his former manager and his current manager and refuse to play he should be sacked.

Right, but it doesn't matter if you are "fairly decent" if your inclusion in the team means everyone else is "a little bit shit". Football is overwhelmingly a team game at the top level and no team indulges a player who doesn't bring as much as they take away.

Ok I think then I misunderstood who he called "president" at United.

He was talking about Arnold.
We don't know who he was talking about. We don't even know if his spiel has a referent, or he's just saying words that he was told to say, constructed from the cues from the general discourse around the club. He thinks we are run by the sport directive.

That's fair enough if you give him zero credit but let's say that he isn't completely dim then the president and director of Football would be Arnold and Murtough.

Edit: The alternative would be the Glazer themselves since they are in reality Joel and Avram Glazers are the actual chairmen while Arnold is the vice chairman(vice president).

Well I think he is dim as well, but in this case it's not even the stupidity, it's just the fact he's a solipsist and he doesn't care who runs the club anyway. Takes two minutes and a browser to at least get the titles right, but apparently that's beyond this guy. And yet he's portrayed as the whistle blower extraordinaire.
