Ronaldo fanboys using the internet:
I'm not supporting Ronaldo over the Club just that I'm not sure why most fans are upset when he talks about what he sees wrong with United. Problems
that we can all see.
I'd be massively surprised if he ever played for us again but let's not pretend that he isn't right about how far we are from the the top teams these days. City have every bit of tech going while we can't even appoint a DoF. Which other club would give some made-up title to Darren Fletcher?
He's gone about this the wrong way, of course but is he wrong about RR? Well, everyone and his dog know the answer to that. Is he wrong about the set-up? Well, everyone who's been to OT recently says it's run down. And that's a bit of a metaphor for the club.
Of course, he has a super ego. That pretty much goes hand-in-hand with superstars these days. I hate it but is Ronaldo wrong about how some youngsters behave? Well, the headlines answer that one.
He has to go - but I'm not entirely convinced that this is what he planned. He has to go, but the club needs to take a long hard look at itself.
There's much to disagree with from the interview too - not least that he thinks Ole needed more time and will go on to become a good coach. But anyone who thinks Ronaldo wasn't good last season is either very biased or wasn't watching. He does still have the drive and determination to go on. He'll never be what he was but that's to be expected - and he needs to realise and accept that
It’s almost as if no youth players succeed at all any more!!?…. Rather than… exactly the same amount that always have/haven’t.
Or that the exact same thing wasn’t said about Rooney & Ronaldo, who were the first generation to get huge contracts as teenagers rather than forced to clean the first teamers boots like the Fledgling Gen were (who themselves had it better than kids coming up in the 80s)
Everything’s a cloud when you’re an old cnut
Truly.I’m so glad he’s show them such a good example… that pubically trying to force a move, leaving the ground, refusing to come on as a sub, leaving the ground again, publically disrespecting the manager and your team mates on television mid-season when morale is crucial is what true elite players do.
Thankyou Ronaldo. You’ve saved our season. Especially glad he took all the focus off the last minute winner/greatest moment in one of our new youth players lives. That was particularly noble of him.
And what "valid points" has he made, slagging the glaziers off, something this fan base has been doing since 05 ? Good way to get sacked.I don't support the way he went about doing it but am equally concerned when people miss or ignore some of the valid points he made, even if the motivations were not completely altruistic. Won't pull quotes but I believe some even defended the club and owners when the comments first surfaced.
The business about these kids not working hard. He was picked up at 18 and was more or less straight in the first team squad. A lot of kids have to come up the hard way through the lower divisions. Yes there are kids at this club who have not achieved what they should have, that is their problem. Others it is they work hard but are not as talented as him. Know something I would rather a common or garden average footballer than a self centred, egomaniac with no mates.I’m so glad he’s show them such a good example… that pubically trying to force a move, leaving the ground, refusing to come on as a sub, leaving the ground again, publically disrespecting the manager and your team mates on television mid-season when morale is crucial is what true elite players do.

I literally said shirt sales are NOT where clubs make their money. Did you bother to read the rest or just being difficult?

What he said about the kids as others have said the same thing since the 80s and for crying out loud even his #1 defender keane slated him, rooney for been on their phones as remember this “Throw them (mobile phones) in the bin, throw them in the bin. Play football, practice. “Kick the ball against the wall, play with your mates. Kids don’t climb trees anymore. So that’s my advice to you, enjoy football and climb trees.”
Again another way to get sacked from here as shown with keane''s own demise here.
He slated Ralf because he stood up to him and wouldn't bow down like a bitch like Ole and others sadly did, and it's the same reason he slated ETH.
Turns out his claim that his move to City was close is false. City actually backed out. If we had not taken him, he'd have been at Juventus last season.
At the time, City did not want to pay any transfer fee.
Arsonist happy with fire.
It's an odd quote from a guy who wouldn't even let a bottle of Coke be on the table he was being interviewed at during the Euro's. He's giving them more publicity than just ignoring them at this point.‘Found the last coca cola in the desert’
That’s a great quote to be fair to the twat

He's not wrong about the state of the club but it's something fans know (and been vocal) for years. Criticizing old jacuzzi, swimming pool, chef feels like he's in for petty point and he doesn't even do it in constructive manner.I'd be massively surprised if he ever played for us again but let's not pretend that he isn't right about how far we are from the the top teams these days. Ronaldo: I don't get pressing or working for the team.
Also Ronaldo: Why doesn't anybody remotely elite want to sign me?

Got to hand it to these two pricks! This was a proper managed execution.Of course he is - he will get what he wants and everyone is talking about him 24/7 the week before the World Cup.

Replace the l for a n and you'd be right. That's like the comments under Gary Neville's tweets about Ronaldo.
"Without Ronaldo, you would have no titles!" Neville who won his first Premier League when Ronaldo was 10... couldn't make it up. A cu'l'tish fanbase.
Get a hold of yourself. It was clearly a joke.
We don't go from one fanboy to another. We shouldn't be bothered about what Messi is or is not. Whatever feelings Ronaldo has for Messi has nothing to do with us.

It's more than that. He expects the coach to get the team to play for him. The teams job is to make CR7 look shiny.Translate to "I respect coaches who are up my arse and let me do what I want".
Nobody wanted him and the Glazer's didn't want to lose their cash cow.
Except for those looking for some kind of relevance on the world stage no one else was stupid enough to take him off our hands. We were also unable to buy a striker and with Martial's injury issues we were short on that front. Very likely EtH thought he'd contribute more on the pitch to some extent.
Nobody wanted to buy him.
Cheers guys.It sounded like he and Mendes essentially approached every single CL club and nobody wanted him bar Boehly but Tuchel wasn’t keen. I wonder if Potter gets strong armed this Jan, he’s still a highly lucrative ‘franchise player’ (excuse me while I am sick in my mouth over that phrase).
For all the talk and focus on Ronaldo, it seems relatively clear to me that United’s plan was to sell him if we got a decent fee/a buyer (didn’t happen) so just let him ride out the season as backup and accept he’ll throw a tantrum. I don’t think they expected this interview especially after seeing how poor he’s been, I don’t think anyone thought he was this deluded in his abilities to be honest but we are where we are and I think the club have handled this really well. He comes out of this looking weak and surplus to requirements after the club have given him ample opportunities.
Cheers guys.
That is pretty much what I thought. I know someone insisting that we blocked his move and it is the clubs fault. Personally I think his wage demands were excessive.
Everything he has said is wrong, no one should be conducting an interview like this attacking his employer whilst still being employed by them. It's gross misconduct and in any other industry would mean instant dismissal.Firstly I've been a United Fan since way before CR7 arrived and will be after he leaves. I just don't see what he says to be completely wrong. United has problems Keane has mentioned it to so maybe the board starts to listen more. Stop taking everything to heart. Let's see if the changes happen. Viva Ronaldo
