I don't doubt that for a second. Having Joel Glazer as the chief decision maker is like having one of the twats at RAWK running the club.Deep down the Glazers still won’t want to sell him.

It sounded like he and Mendes essentially approached every single CL club and nobody wanted him bar Boehly but Tuchel wasn’t keen. I wonder if Potter gets strong armed this Jan, he’s still a highly lucrative ‘franchise player’ (excuse me while I am sick in my mouth over that phrase).
For all the talk and focus on Ronaldo, it seems relatively clear to me that United’s plan was to sell him if we got a decent fee/a buyer (didn’t happen) so just let him ride out the season as backup and accept he’ll throw a tantrum. I don’t think they expected this interview especially after seeing how poor he’s been, I don’t think anyone thought he was this deluded in his abilities to be honest but we are where we are and I think the club have handled this really well. He comes out of this looking weak and surplus to requirements after the club have given him ample opportunities.
So what? kpop vids have 20 million in one day after release. Popular Esports tourneys have 5 million LIVE. Video games patch previews have 2 million LIVE. What a boomer.
I was thinking that, the guy was bragging about being the most followed person on Instagram with 500m followers, so not even 1% of his followers care enough to watch this "most explosive interview EVER!"
I'm assuming loads of that are media related people trying to get a story too.
These footballers think way too much of themselves.
Instagram followers are largely bots and he or the company managing his social media likely purchased a fair share of them.
Edit: The engagement rate of his instagram is 0.93%.
Also, the video has only had 2.2m views. Look, it's 2m more than most of his videos, but if you're going to brag about a stat, at least make sure it's not one which can be fact-checked with a couple of clicks.
Yup they are very much my thoughts also. This is just my opinion.
Phelan was assistant to Solskjaer and someone who was said to be advising Solskjaer in his role. Both Solskjaer and Phelan were spotted several times at various different stadiums scouting players.
And if we listen to Phelan, it becomes pretty clear he didn't pay much attention to the technological or data side of the club, and he put that down to clubs having too much money in the present day. He would also go on to say that, he didn't focus on improving player weaknesses but rather only focused on player strengths. And he was advising Solskjaer as his assistant and it's no surprise that we ended up signing Phelan's former player Harry Maguire, who Phelan himself gave a full debut to at Hull before making him his captain at the same club. And a year before we signed Maguire, it was reported by Daniel Taylor in his Guardian column about how the United head scouts had vetoed the Maguire signing because they felt he wasn't a improvement on the players they already had at the club.
So to answer your question, I'd say yes, Phelan probably did influence Solskjaer when it came to signing Ronaldo, because Phelan was more than happy to turn a blind eye to Ronaldo's weakness ( off the ball) and instead only focused on his strength if we're to go off what he said in the above paragraph.
Phelan like many of the pundits we see in the game today either on TV or Radio, is wedded to a approach from a bygone era. And they believe that because they were successful in that bygone era, football is still the same without accepting that changes have occurred.
There's a big difference between being a successful footballer and someone who is a successful teacher in a coaching capacity in the present day. And in the present day, we see failed teachers line up the Sky and BT studios, whilst the successful teachers go about implementing a strategy in a coaching capacity at the highest level in the present day.
Man City also lie about their bloody sponsorships for God’s sake.
Another one flushed outHell the fallout from this Ronaldo interview is something to see. Why? can't people handle the truth anymore? The only thing I see is Ronaldo slightly overstepping the
the line was disrespecting the coach (but after the Spurs game maybe I can even give him that one)other than that what has upset you so much that the best player to
ever play for United being taken to the cleaners?
Are the things that he Ronaldo has not brought up all the truth, he has personally seen the good the bad, and the dam right ugly at United but when he opens up about it
people throw their toys out of the cot.
Viva Ronaldo for telling the Truth looks like the new Generation can't handle the Truth.

100% particularly given a club like Chelsea lacks market penetration in much of Asia which is where he and Lim have been targeting in particular. Is he actually highly lucrative in the short term?
It was reported at the time he was never close and used them to smoke us out.Man City also lie about their bloody sponsorships for God’s sake.
Having watched it, a lot of what he said isn't wrong. He's just using the wrong platform.
Still has to be given the boot.
I love your Poll very impartial not many options there except that he is a cnut, a big cnut, or always been a cnut and some stupid comment about getting begged.
What about adding told the truth?
Sure it was.It was reported at the time he was never close and used them to smoke us out.
Ronaldo is a liar.

He just picked up a scarf? And he wasn’t playing for us at the time.
Tbh I can hardly think of anything less equatable than a member of our current playing staff, whose not been playing well, who missed pre-season, tried to force a move, left the ground early in his first game back, refused to be brought on as a substitute and then left the ground early again… despite still having a manager that constantly tried to play it all down, reintegrate him into the team whenever he could be (apart from against really good pressing sides who’d kill us with a 40yo up front) and even made him captain last week, all in aid of 2 non penalty goals in 16 appearances … to come out and say he doesn’t respect the manager, that the club are miles behind being a top team, that all the youth players are shit these days because they don’t learn from him, and that any old team mates who’ve made mild, largely tactical criticisms of him are ugly and jealous - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE feckING SEASON!! - then has the gall to say he’s “setting an example” or doing it for the fans because he’s mildly touched upon some of the same issues we’ve had for decades!!??
Nah mate. Not the same as picking up a fecking scarf on your way down the tunnel.
He might not know he’s lying. The agency could have exaggerated City interest to inflate his ego.It was reported at the time he was never close and used them to smoke us out.
Ronaldo is a liar.
That vid has 2.3M views right now but you're forgetting the restream vid that has 2.7M so 5M total, he's not lying. It's true the video only has 2.2 million views
What a joke. They're outdoing each other for Guinness World Record for the amount of bullshit spread on the internet
Are you stupid or naive?Though he said he didn’t go to City because Sir Alex asked him and he has United in his heart.
Do you know any different? No you don’t so go away! Are you stupid or naive?
What is he saying, refuse to listen to it at the moment.
For what it's worth I never really believed they were keen on him.
You really believe that shit?Though he said he didn’t go to City because Sir Alex asked him and he has United in his heart.
The body is like a beautifully sculpted Greek statue (it plays like one these days too) but his face isn't quite right. It has all the correct 'mathematical' symmetry and it should be good-looking but it really lacks character and soul. I don't think it's the plastic surgery either, I think he's always had that kind of look. He's not good looking. Sure, he's got a great body, but as far as looks goes he's more greasy looking than good looking.
