You think that he would score 150 goals for us? In PL? Boss it is a bold statement...If he came back to United he would probably catch Wayne's goal record. Imagine being the all time top scorer for both Man United and Real Madrid.
I doubt Madrid would let him go so easily if he truly was the best player in the world.
Besides that, you clearly didn't grasp the point I was making.
Except for the fact we gave Juve an even bigger profit for a player not even close to Ronaldo and left us on a free.I'm sure his salary is the main reason we are not interested. €60m a year is nuts. Also giving Madrid a profit for taking arguably our best ever player and keeping him for his best years would feel like we are being fecked from behind.

This is the main reason( except the one that i don't like drama queens players) why i don't want him. It would be basically like this; we bought him, invested in him money and time, then loaned him on 9 season for free and now when he is nearly finished, we get him back. feck that.I'm sure his salary is the main reason we are not interested. €60m a year is nuts. I don't want him back but that's silly logic. £80m in 2009 is very different to now in the footballing world, in terms of players it buys you and its worth to a club like us. £80m back then was an unprecedented fee, it's probably the equivalent of about £250m today. You simply cannot compare. This is the main reason( except the one that i don't like drama queens players) why i don't want him. I know that ronaldo fans will hate me because of this but the way how he left and because of the fact that we could have won so much trophies with him( we had fantastic squad then) is still painful to me so that prick can feck himself.
When your wife leaves you because of another guy, you don't want her back. Right?

Yep, Rooney Mk2The time to buy Sanchez was when he left Barca. At this point we are basically getting a player past his prime who wants to casually glide into retirement on the wings of one final lucrative contract.
Like hell we did. He demanded but didn't get it, they called him on it and let the contract run out, when he didn't get better offfers he came crawling back. The club got bent over by Fellaini when he demanded a contract worth £150,000 a week. So let's not talk about spine. We gave a 30 year old Alexis a crazy contract which he did not deserved.
We got Sanchez on a swap deal, what massive outlay did he cost?We made our bed with Sanchez, he was our marquee signing which club wanted to make for a while. Think about it, last summer we had the circus of Griezmann. By all accounts we were ready to pay his clause and wages but he did a u-turn at last moment. That money remained with us before spending it on Sanchez in January (presumably after approaching Griezmann again in January for a summer move and being told to wait). If by some miracle Ronaldo was available for €100m last summer, I'd bet my bottom dollar he'd be our #7 instead of Alexis. But obviously that didn't happen, players like Ronaldo, Bale, Mbappe etc are pipe dreams for us given the outlay of Sanchez transfer.
What does that mean?
Why wouldn't Perez give him to you if he would give him to Juve?
Imho Mourinho. They hated working together and given the personalities involved i don't think Mou would want to try againWonder how we didn't go for him? Mourinho? Or the board IDK. He is Cristiano ffs.

He is past his best. I don't know how anyone who watched him regularly over the last 9 years can think otherwiseFastest player at the World Cup. Too bad for Juventus that they are buying an over the hill old guy who is well past his best. Apparently

He's past his best, I don't think anyone can deny that.
He's past his best but he's still pretty fecking good (many would argue best in the world still). There are posts around here which make it sound like he's completely washed up and Juve are wasting their money which couldn't be further from the truth.
Sure. He is however 33, his body has clearly declined and still is, evidenced by how he himself went from demanding to play every minute of every game to accepting rotations. He knows his body doesn't recuperate the way it used to. He's the ultimate professional, successfully managed to alter and adapt his game to his declining body, and the way he cares for it, he might well manage to mantain himself performing at a WC level for another 4 years. He's past his best but he's still pretty fecking good (many would argue best in the world still). Just because we swapped him doesn't mean he didn't cost much or was on a free. Mkhitaryan cost us €42m in summer of 2016, we're going to amortize his fee over the next 2 years as well unless you think Arsenal are footing that bill. That's just what he cost us in regards to fee. Take into account huge signing on bonus along with his mammoth wages which make him highest earner in the squad (more than twice the amount to our next best earner) for another 3 years and it's easy to see why it was such a massive outlay.
We had big money for one marquee signing, it was supposed to be Griezmann but once he turned us down we decided to buy the next big player who was available which in this case was Sanchez.
We don't have the sort of money which is required to buy him considering existing holes in the squad.
Mourinho was waxing lyrical about Ronaldo in WC, we are hardly stacked with world beaters. Mourinho would jump at the chance of signing him if he had those sort of funds available. There are bigger issues in squad to fix.
Well he joined us for 30m pounds for a start and he wasn't a 30m player when he left us. Wasn't he linked with Juve for 18m? Mkhi would never have left us for 30m if he left on his own so its a bit simplistic to value him as an asset on the fee that we bought him.
If Sanchez is on the 400k a week thats reported then that's 19 odd million a year, a four year contract barely more than we've spent this summer so far and posters think its been a quiet window...spread over four years.
The cost would be like buying Ronaldo and having him play for us for free.
How much is Fred on? I'd bet there isn't that much difference in cost of him playing for Utd than Sanchez is.
Maybe Cristiano simply didn’t want to come back to England...He’s still at the peak of his powers, but he’s 33....If he stays in Spain he will regress substantially over the next 48 months. But If he moves to Italy,he can continue to play phenomenally well for the next 4-5 years....The speed of Italian football is way slower than Spain/England...The quality is significantly lower than Spain...Imho Mourinho. They hated working together and given the personalities involved i don't think Mou would want to try again
He needs to play for a very dominant team at this stage of his career. He needs to play for a Juve or a Real to consistently score goals,he needs his team mates to create chances for him...And obviously he’s still lethal in front of goal. But I think he”ll fail if he comes back to England at this stage of his career....Moving to Italy is the right move for him...I'm not sure on this one, but in the end, I'd have loved it if we bought him back instead of buying Sanchez in January. I just think the Sanchez dynamic sort of unbalances everything. Not just because they occupy the same position (we can switch Sanchez to the right, or move Ronaldo into a free role/up front), but because I think they both sort of thrive of getting into the box/onto the end of the chances. That's without even adding Lukaku into the equation. I can see either Ronaldo/Sanchez playing with/off Lukaku's strengths etc. but to fit all 3 of them into the same team might be a bit difficult. Finishing chances, iirc, hasn't been our biggest issue, creating chances have been.
Unless Mourinho tries to do a 4-4-2 diamond formation of sorts, or something. But 1 (or even 2) of the 3 will need to sacrifice their goal tally, i would think, to give it the remote possibility of working.
I do like the possibility of Ronaldo for various other reasons as well though - the man is a born leader, winner and hates losing (a mentality we can certainly use more of in this team) and his quality/just mere presence will ensure oppo team automatically "fear" us before a ball is even kicked. Those 2 qualities could be huge for us, albeit not quantifiable.
The last one is a big deal. Great guy.Ronaldo charitable donations included

- Selling his 2011 European Golden boot – £1.2milion
- Selling his 2013 Ballon d’or – £530,000
- Donating to the Nepalese earthquake – £5million* (reported)
- Uefa Team of the Year bonus – £100,000
- Champions League 2014 win bonus – £450,000
- Portugese cancer centre – £120,000
- Helping Erik Oritz Cruz – £55,000
- He also regularly gives blood and has given bone marrow. This is why he doesn’t get tattoos
Multiple reasons...
One he's probably still smarting from 'Fax gate'!
Second, United are the most valuable football club in the world...despite all the recent success Real have had. Giving us CR7 would only increase that distance between us and Real.
Third, United supposedly has the most supporters in the world, CR7 would increase this.
Football is not just what happens on the pitch, it is a lot more than that!
