That's insane.
And to think that number of goals scored by Raul and the fat Ronaldo seemed insane those days, but now, after Messi and Ronaldo era?

Raul had 29 goals in 55 games in the 2001-02 season when they won Champions League (and 6 in 12 in that competition alone).

In the next three seasons, with the fat Ronaldo, he scored 16, 11 and 9 goals and had more than 30 appearances in each of them. Ronaldo scored 22, 24 and 21, but you know what a player Raul was. Amazing.

Does anyone else once a day just stop what they're doing and think 'Cristiano Ronaldo... Cristiano. Ronaldo. CRISTIANO RONALDO!!!' and then carry on with their day?
Literally been waking up everyday with a smile since he signed for us.

Absolutely incredible!

How many does he have and need for the FIFA World Cup goal scoring record?

Like 10% or less. The rest go to adidas.
So little in the terms of percentage. But enough to pay his wages for about 2 months. I dont know actually

So players paying their own transfer fees by their shirt sales have always been a myth

Woodward would rinse and extort whatever sponsors he'd manage to line up within the next 2-3 years with figures like that. His commercial nous will be missed

One aspect I can't stop feeling giddy over is the potential prospect of how much Rashford and Greenwood can be learning directly from him. The influence this could have in 5-6 years time could be instrumental and could determine United's attack for the next decade, especially when you add Sancho to the list.

Thats really insane, one individual who holds almost all the records out there.

So a United signing sold more shirts than a PSG signing? What a big surprise.
And here was me thinking Messi would take 30% of Barca’s revenue with him. Turns out the actual club holds most clout.

"Yesterday Ronaldo’s minders were pictured collecting a meal for him at a restaurant in Alderley Edge, Cheshire."

He already has a plush 7-bedroom house near Alderley Edge the club are renting. I wonder if the club are providing him and his family with a house as part of the contract?

Ronny owns his own private jet costing a cool £20M in 2015 called Gulfstream G20. Probably why it won't show up on flight tracker:lol:

this guy is coming to United to win trophies. The fact he is coming back to the Premier League at 36 which everyone agrees is the most physically demanding League.. is very brave that he still wants to challenge himself when he has nothing left to prove.. he could've gone to MLS, Dubai, China, France etc for the money but he wants a challenge and that should be applauded. What a great example to the young lads.. having a 36 year old who has won everything in club football, played For the biggest teams got to the top of the mountain, is a billionaire who owns his own private jet.. but is still hungry for trophies. It's not about money for him that's clear!

I think United will play him upfront flanked by 2 of Rashfood/Sancho/Martial/Greenwood in a 4-3-3 and that for me is the most exciting, interchangeable and fluid front 3 we've had since 09!

honestly for Ronny to come back home and win us the Premier League at 36 would be legendary and deserves his own statue!

Who cares about Messi? Messi doesnt want to play for United or in the most difficult league in the World in the Premier League. He'd prefer an easy ride at PSG in the french league. He's irrelevant. Sorry but I don't get all the negative posts on here about Ronaldo coming back. City fans was jizzing themselves on Bluemoon at the thought of having Ronaldo.. and United got him because he wants to play for us!

there is only positives, but some people want to post negative stuff (allegations for example that could be made up and not true and even City fans dismissed on Bluemoon as the person making the allegations having so many holes in her story any good lawyer would have her on toast) when we should be celebrating and happy to have the goat back with his winning mentality! Well he will shut them up just like last time when he played at United "yong and learning" etc

Ronny will get enough negativity thrown at him by the British media and opposition fans. He needs United fans to support him..

3pm kick offs have zero impact on lower leagues. It's mind-boggling that football rights in 2021 are sold based on people who still think television works like it's 1994. There isn't a single person with an inclination to watch a match that's broadcast anywhere in the world, or even watch a TV show that's premiering in the states live, or anything available anywhere to anyone that isn't going to be watching it

Everyone that wants to watch 3pm games are already doing so. We're years beyond the point where anyone under 50 doesn't know how to access streams. When a TV game isn't televised people don't go to the garden centre and wait for MOTD to come on the telly that night to watch highlights with Gary and the boys. There's something almost naively charming about people who think that world exists any more. The fact football rights in this country are still sold as if it is however, is frustrating.

The reason why the United game won't be shown on traditional TV is simply to humour those who want to pretend it's still 1994 and has absolutely nothing any more to do with lower-league attendances. It's like DJs talking over the ending of songs on the charts to stop people recording the top 40 on a cassette tape - it's adorable they think that's still a really big problem but it's equally as outdated and ridiculous.

Not just any United signing.

Sancho and Varane weren't shifting more shirts than Messi.

It’s not just any United signing though. He is the most marketable footballer on the planet.

Not relevant to now. But when Ronaldo joined Real Madrid he initially wore the number 9 because Raul had the number 7, does anyone remember what happened to his CR7 brand ? Did he keep that or use CR9 until Raul retired?

That's like, just your opinion man.

Yet another vid of all his Utd goals, but this is a brand new one that has great video quality and editing. From the Manchester Utd Youtube channel.
Well worth a watch.

Ronaldo is very versatile as a forward, probably the most complete as he can strike with great power and accuracy using both legs and jumps like a basketball player when going for headers. It makes sense people only see him as a striker now but he offers more than that and at Manchester United just something different about him than I'm sure will help the whole team.

I ordered one yesterday, I havent gotten a player issue jersey since Veron so it was about time

Let's hope this transfer doesn't go the way of Veron then.
