Perhaps all this is just a complicated way to get that 25% deduction in wage topped up. If we truly want Ronaldo around, tell him we'll save him the embarrassment of no big side coming in and top him up for the season. Most likely the plan is to have Ronaldo for two years, and easing in Greenwood as our main striker within that time frame 2 years and be ready by the end of. THe "mistake" started when Greenwood was gone, and the Board don't have any plan.

Its a difference trying to buy a backup striker with knowing Ronaldo is staying or a striker instead of Ronaldo if he's leaving. Ronaldo leaving surely changed the situation and the timing from him is awful. .

Ralf also doesn’t have a clue and is a horrendous manager. After his second half of the season that was largely saved because of Ronaldo’s goals, his opinion carry’s little weight.

If he lowers his wages demand, will Bayern’s management take him? I don’t see why they should but he does have great marketing value. Imagine the horde of fanboys and girls buying Bayern’s shirts
