And what if it doesnt? Who do we blame then? If the remaining players still dont perform? Who is to blame next? Ten Hag being to harsh on them?
What's your point?

Not be a stop gap solution that turns 36 in january and blocks a longterm signing in the upcoming winter/summer windows. Please, no more short term bandaids. Let's just let Ronnie go and leave that spot open for the long term prospect. What can Martial or any of our other strikers do that Vardy can’t? You guys have a habit of turning your noses up at all these players, only for them to have Maguire and co. firmly placed in their back pockets when they face us.
What's your point?
Well right now its Ronaldo being angry / mean thats the reason for the team being bad. Whats going to be the excuse when he leaves and they are still shite?
I’m not saying he is necessarily the most famous person on the planet. But it isn’t far fetched to say he’s up there. He’s more famous than a lot of the Hollywood actors/actresses being mentioned on the planet as a WHOLE even though they they’re more famous in America and surrounding countries.
This scares me. The sheer lack of professionalism by the rest of the squad is startling.
I mean surely Donald Trump is the most famous. Vastly prefer this conversation to all previous ones in this thread.
Had to be the Donald now though, doesn't it? Ronaldo definitely makes the top 10.
Been edited. Well done you made me laugh uncontrollablyIf united did this would we at least get to keep the rest of our foot?
No that’s not what I’m saying or trying to imply at all. I’ve always maintained that things are more nuanced than the average fan would like to acknowledge. Most seem to think that Ronaldo leaving would magically solve all our problems which is obviously untrue. I do think he can definitely affect the team in a way that isn’t always ideal (him being the focal point and all balls going to him). This current United side and this version of him is definitely a bad fit which is why I’ve maintained that a departure would be best for both parties.
But I really don’t think his playstyle is a principle reason we’re like we are. I mean look at us against Brighton without him on the pitch.
I just think there’s something fundamentally wrong at the club that starts all the way from the boardroom.
No one said that Ronaldo was unknown which is seemingly the point that you are trying to defend. The point was that it's ludicrous to suggest that Ronaldo is the single most famous person on the planet at the exception of maybe Trump.
Justin Bieber isn’t nearly as popular as he was 10 years ago. If he was he wouldn’t have less than half of Ronaldo’s social media followers. Most of his fans have grown up and he isn’t that popular with the current young generation.I'll say Putin, Beyonce, Queen Elizabeth, Justin Beiber and Barack Obama are above Ronaldo. Ronaldo is very popular more so than Manchester united but he isn't the most popular human, no chance!
1st thing 1st. It will not be a parade as soon as he out the door, but it will be a way to start progressing in the right direction. And what if it doesnt? Who do we blame then? If the remaining players still dont perform? Who is to blame next? Ten Hag being to harsh on them?
Read the first post of yours I replied to. You were saying Tom Cruise et al. beats Ronaldo in popularity due to multiple generations, cultures, etc knowing them. And I was saying that Ronaldo has them beat for sheer global reach as football is something that can be accessed by the poorest. If you are not saying it then what is the point of this conversation? I responded to a post saying exactly that, no one has suggested that he wasn't famous or that a lot of Hollywood actors aren't less famous.
I reckon Donald, the Pope and Ronaldo are the father, son and Holy Ghost of this discussion.

But only limited to the preseasons when 40+ unfit players trying to re-gain fitness playing through random 30-45 minutes each.I think that is an unfair view.
Yes having Ronaldo may be better than having no striker but we did look better when we had Martial.
And I addressed why they don’t. But yeah let’s agree to disagree. And I already addressed that point, if you think that these actors don't have the same global reach then there is nothing I can tell you.

Those 7 matches definitely trump multiple league titles won in multiple countries and five Champions Leagues. He’s a loser.Ronaldo is such a ‘born winner’ that he’s lost 5 of the last 7 competitive matches he’s played. Truly inspiring the team with his mentality.
So will FdJ also be toxic, do you think? He will probably expect the other players to play to his advantage, he'll probably see himself as a better player with higher standards, he might point out others could play better rather than being sooooo concerned about their feelings. Its just a toxic presence, and when it's someone as big as Ronaldo, obviously it has a big impact. Someone who all the focus is always on, yet will always complain about not getting his way, someone who doesn't see himself as part of the team, someone who wants out of the club, someone who separates himself from the others after a bad result and puts the blame on the rest as if he is above them.
On the pitch as well - the guy does feck all. He walks around, he does nothing defensively, he's never been a good #9 anyway (let alone at 37)... He's just a bad player to have in the team right now and it's causing problems. The others aren't suited to him at all either. Problems arose with him in the team pretty early on after joining and it's all gone to shit. Pre season mood was decent, and then coincidentally all turned into a shit show the second he came back into the picture.
Ludicrous based on what metric?
Most followers on both Instagram and Facebook globally that have drastically different age and location demographics, ranks highly on all other socials, one of the most commonly searched people on google.
As much as people want to downplay the Internet and social media it is a really solid metric on how famous someone is.
He has a following of 476 million on one platform. That is more than Obama and Trump had combined on their main platform before Trump got banned, you could even throw in Elon Musk for good measure. People won't like me saying this but you could also throw in the Man Utd twitter numbers with those 3 and not touch 476 million.
Just skimmed through some of Ronaldo's insta content. Wow! Looks like he's auditioning for chip'n'dales or something.Justin Bieber isn’t nearly as popular as he was 10 years ago. If he was he wouldn’t have less than half of Ronaldo’s social media followers. Most of his fans have grown up and he isn’t that popular with the current young generation.

Yes. Because you said this;Read what you said happened then read my post.
Do you think what I am saying is that Ronaldo is better at his sport than Jordan is in his?
In response to thisHe is one of the best players of all time. A lot of people debate if Jordan was the best.
Documentaries about the single greatest in their field generally tend to do well.
We don't have to worry about that with Ronaldo.
Maybe - I also think our current crop are quick to blame anyone but themselves. Ronaldo for all his faults actually cares about results and winning. Not sure if that's the kind of mentality we want to be losing.
Question is: Who are these 476 million "people" following him?
Instagram following rankings is interesting and should make you think for a minute. Who is second and do you think that she is actually close to be the second most famous person on the planet? You can do the same thing with the top 30.
PS: A substantial amount of those are fake.
Yes. Because you said this;
In response to this
I think it is Kylie Jenner who is again one of the most famous people alive, then Dwayne Johnson who again is pretty high.
I think the distance he is ahead is pretty significant though and the fact he is either top or very high in all different types of platform. Especially the fact that he is the highest in both Insta and Facebook as they are the most far apart in demographics which is why Zuckerberg brought Instagram.
I am still struggling to see what is ludicrous when he is so high on the only metrics we actually have available to us. I honestly think if you lined up all 7.9 billion people on earth and showed them a picture of Tom Cruise and then a picture of Ronaldo and asked them to name the person, if you think more would name Tom Cruise you underestimate how much the Internet and it's influencers are shared in pop culture actually is.
