Not be a stop gap solution that turns 36 in january and blocks a longterm signing in the upcoming winter/summer windows. Please, no more short term bandaids. Let's just let Ronnie go and leave that spot open for the long term prospect.

If you are not saying it then what is the point of this conversation? I responded to a post saying exactly that, no one has suggested that he wasn't famous or that a lot of Hollywood actors aren't less famous.

Right...which is what most fans on here are talking about, yet you seem to pop up defending him at every opportunity and in a way that somehow contradicts what you just said by here.
As for the bold part, this is just so untrue. Most? Come on. You know that's false. There's probably one or maybe two who have flat out said that he's the sole reason for our problems, and that is obviously not true. But to suggest most fans think that we'd magically transform into this title-winning team when he's gone is patently false.

Most followers on both Instagram and Facebook globally that have drastically different age and location demographics, ranks highly on all other socials, one of the most commonly searched people on google.
As much as people want to downplay the Internet and social media it is a really solid metric on how famous someone is.
He has a following of 476 million on one platform. That is more than Obama and Trump had combined on their main platform before Trump got banned, you could even throw in Elon Musk for good measure. People won't like me saying this but you could also throw in the Man Utd twitter numbers with those 3 and not touch 476 million.

Justin Bieber isn’t nearly as popular as he was 10 years ago. If he was he wouldn’t have less than half of Ronaldo’s social media followers. Most of his fans have grown up and he isn’t that popular with the current young generation.

I've worked at a few places with a seemingly similar dynamic to this, and it's always been better for the team overall when that personal has inevitably fecked off for somewhere new. Mind you those (admittedly) supremely talented individuals were massive pricks, didn't help nurture the junior members of staff, and set the team up to make themselves look good at the detriment of others, so it probably makes sense why things would improve when they left.
BUT I'm sure Ronaldo isn't a completely cnut to his teammates, and is a mentor figure for our younger players, so it's probably nothing like this at all.

Read the first post of yours I replied to. You were saying Tom Cruise et al. beats Ronaldo in popularity due to multiple generations, cultures, etc knowing them. And I was saying that Ronaldo has them beat for sheer global reach as football is something that can be accessed by the poorest.

Love how the club’s briefing has made most of the united news this week centered around him being a prick and not our defeat or inabillity to attract talent.

I don't disagree but I suppose my main point is that comparing having him to playing with Eriksen up front is probably not saying much in Ronaldo's favour.

All this supposed winning mentality has given us this past few months is a huge desire to leave us for any CL team he could think of. It's not that hard to imagine that this is a huge reason why he's being seen as a disruptive force to the team right now and I doubt a lot of the players jumped off their seats to welcome him back with hugs and kisses when he strolled in with his agent to Carrington a few weeks ago after trying his best all summer to never have to go back there at all.

I think the distance he is ahead is pretty significant though and the fact he is either top or very high in all different types of platform. Especially the fact that he is the highest in both Insta and Facebook as they are the most far apart in demographics which is why Zuckerberg brought Instagram.

Again I will say Ronaldo is not as good at his sport as Jordan was at his. Ronaldo was however a great player and very significant meaning that a well made documentary about him will probably be just as successful in 20 years which goes against the point that sports stars always fade which is what I was arguing.
