Cristiano Ronaldo (I stay)

It’s been denied by Oliver Kahn twice, by Hasan Salihamidzic once and by Naglesmann once. Seems pretty emphatic, it’s not happening.
Technically by Salihamidzic twice as well but this latest statements sounds less assured than previous statements. He also says the market is always changing.

I don’t think it’ll happen either but this one will drag all summer.

I must say that i am enjoying in all this. How to tarnish your reputation at the end of career. Club after club are rejecting him, United fans finally realised that he is a selfish prick, being trolled by media....beautiful. Couldn't happen to nicer player.

It was always going to happen.
Ronaldo seems to think that he's still 26 and is the best player in the world.

He's so past his best that he is unrecognisable as the player he once was

How many more rejections is he going to take ?

The entire Bayern hierarchy said nah.
Nasser and PSG don't want him.
Tuchel said no.

What a embarrassing summer for him.

Tuchel keeps getting asked. Guess what? He’s said feck all. All three of Bayern’s men have commented now - two of them multiple times.
Well Tuchel saying feck all is more of a reason for smoke than three Bayern men rejecting Ronaldo three times

No. It isn’t. The Ronaldo Chelsea story has died. The Bayern one keeps going on because now Khan has yet again said they don’t want him and explaining why they don’t. Romano even posts with Mendes will try again - it’s just building for a big twist. Also, despite not being his biggest fan it is also completely disrespectful to Ronaldo to repeatedly say why you don’t want him and also to Manchester United whom he actually fecking plays for. Just shut the feck up.

Bit emotional. I’m sure the famous multimillionaire doesn’t need you to uphold his honour on the internet.

Hilarious that he signed a two contract with the club that developed him into the player he became, on absolute mega money and one year into it he's publicly whoring himself out to any big club that'll take him.

Our Legend......................ary whore

Yes I’m oh so emotional. Classy clubs don’t repeatedly talk about players at other clubs or repeatedly explain why they don’t want certain players. It’s bizarre and just because we all think it’s funny because it is Ronaldo doesn’t mean it isn’t bizarre.

Honestly I can’t see Ronaldo staying with us this season after this shit show. At this stage it should be us giving his camp a clear message that he is not in the plans anymore.

I would prefer to have Tony for the season. We may risk contracting Dybala if we want to add some forwards.

Because they keep getting asked. They've literally said no about three times. What more evidence are you looking for. It seems like you just see what you want to see. If Khan had said "no comment" you'd still be saying the deal is on

Yeah it probably partially was but they had Zidane for the entirety of the 19/20 and had to remodel their entire game to accommodate for the loss of Ronaldo’s goals. For the first time, they prioritised defense and conceded the least amount of goals they had ever conceded in probably decades which led them to the la liga title as they simply couldn’t score the same volume of goals as previous sides. They weren’t a better team for it (see how easily City dispatched them in the CL) but were fortunate their competition were also in transition (Atletico & Barca).
This City team can easily dispatch any team. If anything they have often underperformed.

And Its not like Ronaldo used to dominate opponents in the champions league when he was at Madrid. He made the difference by poaching goals without himself rarely producing anything remotely memorable outside the goals.

And he had a fair number of stinkers too e.g vs Atletico in 2014 and 2016, vs Liverpool in 2018, vs Bayern in 2018, vs City in 2016. In many other games, he produced stinkers but the goals glossed over the performances. I remember distinctly him producing a mediocre game vs US in 2013 yet poached a goal.

So basically everything he does is for himself? The stroppy attitude when he was subbed off, Rangnick having to calm him down as he just sat there on the steps like a toddler, constantly running down the tunnel as soon as the final whistle blew, and then suddenly bringing out a video where he talks about the importance of the team working together? Only to go back into strop mode at the next opportunity. And now this summer, after previously saying how he wants to work with Ten Hag, pulling this disruptive shite?!

I love the guy but feck him. He's a legend who plays for United, but he's not a United legend.

Bayern had their team presentation today. And after that a press conference with Hainer, Kahn, Salihamidzic, the new dutch players and Gnabry after his renewals. Many questions of the press - about the players, Lewy, transfers - and a little about how Bayern wants to play this season. The team presentation was broadcasted not just by Sky (delayed) but by Bavarian state TV and the club medias. And yes, they get asked for a CR7 transfer, too...

Much and all as I would love him to feck off, it's hilarious that no other big club will take him.

We should have offered to mutually terminate his contract the moment he said he wanted out, there is time yet.

It’s more usual to love a guy AND feck him, but BUT feck him to, by all means, we are living in 2022 after all.

So you would enjoy us without a proper number 9 in our team then

Twat is not proper no9 anymore. Especially for ETH's system. You expect that he will run, press and shit? We have Martial and we can always buy a striker. We have plenty of time.
We are better team without him and especially now after he did what he did.

Whole my life i read and listen how United is bigger than any player but all of sudden, some fans want to forgive a player who treats this club like dirt. No thanks. He can feck off.

You want him out but Ten Hag has said he wants him to stay.

We have time but after the scousers & City took the best off the market maybe we need to wait it out

We’re just going down a different rabbit hole here. The initial argument was related to Madrid being better or worse after he left, and the resounding evidence suggests they were worse on the whole after his departure and have only just recovered to resemble a true Real Madrid team after 3-4 years and even then are still not as good as they were with him in the side.

If they really want him out of the way, but he has to stay this season, then just install a massive mirror in the changing room. Not because he's vain but because this whole farce has shown that he's a complete idiot, and he'll just spend hours arguing with his reflection.

Honestly, the best thing that has come out of Ronaldo's drama this summer is that our fans finally see him for what he is. A selfish primadonna who has only ever cared about himself. Last year's outraged was shortlived after he finally didn't sign for City but let's hope people see him for what he is this time and not start chanting Viva Ronaldo after the first goal he scores.

Pele, counting goals against no name teams in friendlies

Maradona, drug addict

Messi, tax evader

Ronaldo, accused of sexual assault

Great at football. Far from upstanding and saintly human beings.

But their reputations are not tarnished. That's hyperbole. They are still the best footballers in the history of the game. Having trouble finding a team at 38 years old is never going to be looked back on as a black mark.

Ronaldo tax evader too and fined for fraud, has a kid from an unknown mom (unknown to the kid), scores a lot against no names esp. in international football etc.

Imho, above are not really the issues that could hurt his legacy (regardless of how major/minor they are). The main issue is Maradona, Messi and Maradona or many other greats are not remembered as narcissists trying to develop a fake image (leadership, loves challenges BS etc.), he's like excessively self absorbed fake influencers on social media 24/7 that pretend to genuinely care about their followers and have amazing personalities always promoting love and peace)

Interesting to hear your opinion on what will matter for a players legacy. In contrast, I used to think Juventus was a great team til they got exposed for match fixing and were relegated. To me, that kind of thing affects the legacy in the game more than narcissism.
