And he should be on about 4 goals himself by now, the problem!Correct he had a part to play in all 3 goals

Ronaldo looks really sharp!
I doubt so, but he might be able to achieve that if he plays for Sporting past 40....Can he score 1000 goals? Would have to play on past 40 in Portugal but if he chose to do that he has a chance.
I wonder if he finishes at Sporting or MLS.I doubt so, but he might be able to achieve that if he plays for Sporting past 40....
He is currently on 815, assume he manages avg 25+ goals a season, would still take him 6-7 seasons to achieve such feat... by then he would be around 43-44.
But more realistically I think he would most likely reach 900+ career goals and 130+ international goals before he retires at around 40. He can't be possibly playing when he is no longer relevant in the game. His ego won't allow him to do so.
Goals in all competitions (club+country):
30: 66 goals in 60 games
31: 57 goals in 61 games
32: 56 goals in 56 games
33: 54 goals in 55 games
34: 31 goals in 47 games
35: 48 goals in 52 games
36: 46 goals in 59 games
37: 32 goals in 48 games (as of current)
Total: 815 goals
Future predictions (most realistic best case scenario):
38: 30-35 goals? (expect him scoring a few more goals next season under ETH)
39: 25-30 goals? (would slow down at that age, probably playing for Sporting, a weaker team with less supply)
40: 25-30 goals? (would slow down at that age, probably playing for Sporting, a weaker team with less supply)
Total: 900+ goals?
41: 20-25?
42: 20-25?
43: 15-20?
44: 15-20?
Total: 1000 goals?

He may be able to do it if would go to a genuinely farmer level league in some obscure Asian country.I doubt so, but he might be able to achieve that if he plays for Sporting past 40....

43: 15-20? (Sporting or MLS or Dubai)
44: 15-20? (Sporting or MLS or Dubai)

MLS would shower him with love and fuel his ego every week so I feel it’s between MLS and Sporting tbh.He may be able to do it if would go to a genuinely farmer level league in some obscure Asian country.
It wouldn't be worth it however, he has standards i reckon.

Yes I wish he would probably want to finish at Sporting until around early 40s too, because of opportunity of playing with his son, and close his home, plus CL football. He would still be "relatively relevant" as Portuguese league is still ranked as top 6 league in Europe, although it's a farmers' league too. Only problem would be money, but I guess he wouldn't care as much as he is already super rich and would keep on earning big every year with his endorsements.I wonder if he finishes at Sporting or MLS.
If he goes to Sporting he okays until 41 or 42 I think.
As for the relevance factor I feel like if he’s close to 1K he might keep going to do it but who Knows.
in total though I agree, as super human as he is I wound be very very very surprised if he’s still hitting 15-20 goals at 44 even at Sporting.
I always said I feel he’s finishing at 41. After this season with United I think he goes back to Sporting to complete the full circle and enjoy the last 3 years of his career.
His moms wish Is to see him finish at Sporting and she has said this publicly so I can only imagine what she has said to him in private. She attends many games at Sporting and loves the club.Yes I wish he would probably want to finish at Sporting until around early 40s too, because of opportunity of playing with his son, and close his home, plus CL football. If I remember correctly he has 2+1 year contract with us (option of 3rd year), which means there is possibility he may even extend his stay until 2024 here, if he has good season next season with us finishing top 4 and chance of trophies...His moms wish Is to see him finish at Sporting and she has said this publicly so I can only imagine what she has said to him in private. Ronaldos mother is his Rock and of course she is getting older so I feel he will honor his mothers wish (and I’m sure his as well) and return to Sporting even if he takes a massive pay cut (he really does not need the Money anyways).
Yeah that could be fun as I think there are rumors that Messi has already signed a contract as well, having the chance to perhaps see them both playing for the same team could be fun, would be a commercial heaven for mls.List of men's footballers with the most official appearances
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_men's_footballers_with_the_most_official_appearances
Ronaldo is currently 8th on the all-time footballers appearance list playing 1,157 matches. He is the second highest outfield player only behind Scotlands Tommy Hutchinson who is 1st in Outfield Players having played 1179 matches (Ronaldo will overtake him next season) and played football until he was 45! I don't think Ronaldo will play for that long but maybe until he's 42 years old?!
England goal-keeping legend Peter Shilton is 1st of all-time appearances of any footballer ever and has the most appearances of any footballer ever with 1398. So if Ronaldo wants to get the appearance record (to go alongside his goal record of most goals of any footballer ever) he needs to play football for as long as possible (which means he will need to downgrade from United eventually to a Farmers League)
Maybe Ronaldo will join Beckhams Inter Miami in the MLS? (Sign a pre-contract next January where he will be a Free Agent next summer) He will be treated like a Demi-God in the MLS.. I don't know if he would want to downgrade to a farmers league though. Playing in The Portuguese League would be bad enough.
Interesting, didn't Ronaldo himself support Benfica as a child? His moms wish Is to see him finish at Sporting and she has said this publicly so I can only imagine what she has said to him in private. She attends many games at Sporting and loves the club.

I believe they both may have supported one of the local Madeira clubs until Sporting came calling. I know his dad was a Benfica fan but from his mothers account the moment he went to Sporting at 11 he fell in love with the club and became a SportinguistaInteresting, didn't Ronaldo himself support Benfica as a child?
was her mom always a fan or she became one after what the club did for his child?
That's kinda sweet to be honest, I suppose that's only fair after what the club did for his sonI believe they both may have supported one of the local Madeira clubs until Sporting came calling. She has been a die hard fan ever since appearing in the stands in multiple games and celebrating Sporting title win even coming to our podcast where she stated she wanted Ronaldo to retire at Sporting..
Yesterday it seemed she was very emotional seeing Ronaldo scoring at the Alvalade and getting the customary siuuu ovation from many of the Sporting faithful.
Even in terms of career storylines it would e a fitting end to the “movie” Ronaldo retiring where it all began.
We all know he will have a last dance type of documentary and for the story would be great for him to stop at Sporting.
Also imagine if he would lead Sporting to a title ?!! Pure ecstasy at that point.
* I am speaking this into

If it’s MLS I see him scoring 40.
Would he go to America? I remember reading Juventus avoided going there for pre-season for fear of him being detained because of the rape case.I hope its MLS. If Ronaldo comes to MLS, US soccer would see a boost like not other. I actually think he won't go to MLS though. The fact he chose United over easy money grabs tells me he values history and tradition a lot.

Criminal charges were dropped, there is still a civil case against him from what I remember. As far as I know the case has since been dropped/resolved.
I don’t care much for either of the new york teams (NYCFC would be easy to support since they are actually very close to me but the city ties put me off them) but if Ronaldo came to NYC..oh boy I’d be at every game. It would be surreal. I think he alone would actually fill up arenas around the country.I hope its MLS. If Ronaldo comes to MLS, US soccer would see a boost like not other. In which case the worst would be a fine from his perspective? (well the worst would be that the event actually happened but speaking from his perspective)
Can he go to the MLS? Weren't there some legal issues for him or they've been dropped?I hope its MLS. If Ronaldo comes to MLS, US soccer would see a boost like not other. Dubai has really upped their game in giving out 'Golden Visas' which make you a domicile (not citizen) of the Emirates. Huge incentives for a wealthy person to obtain this visa as personal income tax is 0%. you also need to visit Dubai only for a few days in a year, unlike the US Green Card which demands that you stay for at least 181 days of the year.Dubai is a possibility for his retirement years
