Cricket

Only just put it on and saw someone bowled bottom of off by one that bounced halfway down.

Dogged batting so far then, or bowlers wasting good conditions?

Next new ball is going to be key, could be over quickly if they get one or two more before it's due

Hmm getting some proper shooters now, if WI get a lead above 70 it's hard to see them losing this game but I wouldn't want to bat last on this.

Regression to the mean away from home really. Shocking record in recent times bar the Sri Lanka series. Won't get better without changing coach and moving county cricket back into the main part of the summer.
Agreed. We have to find a way to develop some fast bowlers. They probably need to abolish the county championship and create a regional comp under ECB control. Can't see it happening.

Impressive from Bravo and Holder there. Possibly out of reach? But you never know with the WI

Never underestimate our ability to collapse. That being said, this wicket is a real mess. Difficult to call where this match is going to go.

Although I'm Indian, I've always been a Windies fan. I know the pain and that is when Ambrose and Walsh were playing (as the only two performing players haha)

West Indies have batted really well, but, jesus, we must have beaten the bat at least 100 times.

What's a good score for England? 270 would be good.. but getting there is going to be extremely tough

Bowling hasn’t been good enough for this innings so far. Leaking far too many runs.

Wow, what an excellent review. Didn’t think there was anything there at all.

I thought it was a nick but Joseph's reaction made me think it wasn't. Terrific from Holder

Yeah Joseph wasn’t interested at all, which really made me question it. Terrific decision indeed.

Superb bowling from both ends.

Great length, line and movement.

First time im watching Joseph bowl this series. Great talent

Windies are playing fantastic Test cricket with patience & spirit. Really impressed with them.

Commentator just said Bairstow has been bowled out 29 times, more than anyone this decade. Someone has to hold that record, I suppose, but still, that’s one hell of a title to have next to your name.

“Most bowled out this decade”

Not really surprised.

When he first came in to the side he was bottom hand dominant and played across the line a lot so was a bowled and lbw candidate. Since coming back in, and particularly in the last year, he stays leg side and aims airy wafts at things pitched on off stump.

Really happy to see West Indies doing well again, hope they go on to win this. England have too many bits and pieces cricketers and it’s never a good sign when you keep changing 2/3 players every test match.

If England didn’t have very unique home conditions that visiting teams finds extremely challenging, that boosts their wins column, they’d be viewed as a very average side.

Also condolences to Alzarri Joseph who lost his Mother this morning but decided to play the remainder of the match

This is a pretty shameful pair of test performances. The very least they needed from this innings was to give the bowlers “something” to bowl at. Stranger things have happened than defending 100 on a crumbling wicket.

In truth, the signs were there when we came here to the UK. Sam Curran massively bailed England out then. Now that he's taken inspiration from Jennings, England have turned into a disaster. No disrespect to West Indies, but I don't think they're that good.

Who are the losers of this all? That pathetic Sri Lankan team.
