I reckon Pete, Mockney, yourself and I should start a revolutionists' party. We'd be top..

Frankly, Mr UpNorth, Windies would've put up a better fight. How did they achieve their number one status? 12 wins against Bangladesh or something?
Don't think I'd put KP ahead of Jimmy.

But as I said, this is the best time to have seriously underperformed. I'm less affected due to the highs of the recent past.
Ah yes, the good ol' "I'm not really bothered anyway" excuse.
When a post count of 144 in this thread seem to suggest otherwise.
You really should learn to read.
I never said I wasn't bothered. I'm very passionate about Indian cricket but I'm not a greedy fan. Its like when Spain won the world cup. I would expect their fans to be more tolerant and unaffected having seen their team achieve what they had dreamt of for ages.
That's something you can say easily after the fact, like 'well, we knew we were never going to beat Barca in the final anyway, but at least we were there and we got number 19, so lets not be greedy.'
No Bhajji is awesome news
Yuvraj injured as well. We really need to stop playing the IPL and cut down on injuries.

You can choose to read it anyway you like but I've always felt that way. It's actually not like what you said anyway because the CL is a more prestigious trophy than the premier league (although what's more important is debatable). In this case the WC was the holy grail. Before, during, after I'd say the exact same thing. I'm in cricket heaven ATM and will be so for awhile. This series has very little significance in comparison. At the same time it is my country and I'm passionate about it's cricket, so it does evoke emotion of course. And I do love me some good test cricket.
You lot are like England football fans using the fact there is no winter break in the Premier League as an excuse for their pathetic performance...
We were beaten fair and square but we've had Sachin/Sehwag/Gambhir/Zaheer/Bhajji/Yuvraj injured/ill at various parts of the series so we could do scrapping the bloody IPL and playing lesser cricket.
This is not an excuse.
PS:
Mickey Mouse form of the game, to be fair.

That's been my desktop wallpaper for 4 months, probably for the next 4 years too!
I could honestly care less if England became a world cup winning odi side.It really bores the shit out of me and is nothing compared to the proper game of test match cricket.Like comparing winning the league to the fa or league cup for me.
Got a widescreen version?
I hope Raina fails in the warm-up tomorrow. I'd like to see Kohli at 6 at Edgbaston.
So the Indian fans are now turning to bringing up their world cup, now that they have been soundly thrashed in the first two tests.
Fantastic. Just like scousers with their imaginative '5 times' and 'history' taunts.
Where has anyone done this? Please show me where someone has taunted England fans with India's World Cup win? It would be poor if someone has to be honest. I've seen more England fans on here trying to belittle India's World Cup win for some reason.
Also, it's becoming harder to tell between the wind-up attempts and the serious posts by some of the England fans in this thread. It's a shame because there seems to be more childish bickering in this thread then decent discussion.
They are "wumming", don't know why they are trying though as no one is biting and every Indian has conceded that we have been thrashed by them fair n square.
However the post you have quoted I am not sure if that Guy is wumming or not, he is a bit special.

I love how english fans are belittling the World Cup - That is bitterness at it's best, but in this 2 test matches we did get soundly trashed, so it doesn't hurt for us indian fans to just relapse the wonderful memories a bit. Was simply stunning that night. England fans have yet to taste that feeling after all those years of Cricket.
Yet to taste that feeling? We've won The Ashes three times in recent years. When was the last time India won the biggest prize in cricket?
