Cricket Draft - Tests

Good picks MJJ. Maybe my memory is off but weren't you totally batting focussed the last test draft? You've gone in the opposite direction this time for sure. That's a formidable bowling attack.

I picked steyn and waqar early and then focused on my batting which left me lacking in both as neither were good enough to win the draft. This time I want to finish one end first, plus am trying to get as many of my favorite cricketers in as possible. Thats why didnt want an am.

And the fact that pakistan has no great fast bowler right now, is making me nostalgic.

That's true...the pipeline seems to have dried up a bit after Amir. I haven't seen the new bunch but there doesn't seem to be a clear standout.

Nope, other than ajmal and umar akmal if he sorts his head out we dont really have any worldclass talent. The board really needs to stop the in-fighting and look to bring some of the talent to the fore. It makes me sad to see how far we have fallen from the rest.

Still amir is close to coming back and we do finds ways of winning so its not all bad. Plus that 19 year old spinner(forgot his name, who played in t20 worldcup) should be coming back soon and hopefully we start blending in some youngsters.

Having previously been at the extreme ends of the draft line-up, I'm starting to realise that mid-table is a hopeless, toruturous position whose inhabitants wear their refresh keys down in vain hope of a mere morsel.

Jog on, I'm just introspecting.

Having being stuck in the middle twice before, I can confirm that the ends are a torture as well. You can't plan anything since there would be 22 picks before your turn comes again.

Actually, I remember the frustration that comes along with that. I just feel being able to pick two allows for slightly better strategy.
