Covid Outbreak at Man Utd

Positive cases means they can't train either

It still gives us time to maybe work on something like video analysis.
Makes no difference if they’re vaccinated or not, vaccine doesn’t stop you getting it. The quarantine period is the same. The vaccine just reduces the symptoms, which wouldn’t be too bad in healthy young people anyway. Physiological recovery should be quicker among the vaccinated however.
That’s what I meant. Health and well-being obviously comes first.

Apparently the whole squad involved in yesterday's game has tested negative. So not much grounds to postpone the Brentford game, if we have 20 players who are available.

Yeh conflicting stories on that but Athletic should be the most reliable.

I’m no sure how this is possible, the players looked like they were self isolating from each other against Norwich …

That was good. It's probably inevitable that all will have some number problems with COVID spreading. The question is does the league just play the matches or suspend knowing it will be really hard to make them up.

It's not like they've been doing less video analysis than needed because they had to train

This is Solskjaer's fault somehow I'd imagine. I'm sure someone will be along soon enough to explain how exactly.

Won’t be many teams that come through this winter unscathed.

Not with the transmissibility and prevalence of the Omicron variant.

You've got to ask yourself where is Pogba in all of this?

They’re not. A lot of them are un-jabbed, not that it matters with the omnicron variant anyway
He’s saying they won’t get ill from it and it could be a welcome break if we have games postponed. Obviously whether vaccinated or not it won’t do anything to stop the cases happening and there will be a lot over the next few weeks in the PL. I think even the un-jabbed Premier League footballers should be fine from getting ill though.

Apologies thought it would go without saying due to the white text but for those that are struggling I don’t actually want Rashford (or any of our players) to get covid

Wording here is bit different. Seems like they initially tested negative and now some lateral test came positive

Huh, Victors heart wasn’t too happy during the game

United players who were not part of yesterday’s Matchday squad - Lee Grant, AWB, Varane, Pogba, Matić, Mata, Amad, Cavani & Martial

Could this explain what happened to Lindelof?
My first thought on seeing him put his hand to his chest was covid - omicron to be precise. One of the initial symptoms being reported is a feeling of "chest pressure".

Whatever it was I hope he's ok. And if we do have a covid outbreak, I hope the rest of them are feeling ok as well.
