Yeah, for sure everyone is free to measure their own risk and if they don’t want to integrate back into society, don’t think anybody could and should be able to tell them otherwise. However, these current conditions you speak of are going to be the conditions for the foreseeable future and that is something that people need to start accepting.
It’s quite interesting to see what’s going to happen. Let’s get away from football for a minute, although this applies to it also.
You’re gonna get lots of other non essential organisations opening up, ones where you obviously can’t work from home. Whilst I suspect the large majority will want to return you will get some who don’t and If you’re deemed as young, fit and healthy and the government and your workplace have authorised the opening of whatever sector you’re in and you still feel it’s too much risk and don’t want to return to work, what then happens?
Will these people still be employed? Still be paid? Will they remain on furlough? Will that even be an option?
And this will extend to football, what happens to those players (it’ll be a small minority) who don’t want to go back to playing even after the green light has been given? Do they retire? Do they wait till a vaccine? Actually makes my head hurt thinking about all the scenarios and ramifications.
