Copa del Rey - 2017/18

Saw Zidane no1 trending on Twitter and was scared he had died. Real needed to fix the defence, add to midfield and get a new striker in the summer, they did none of this. Harsh to lay the whole blame at Zidane's feet. Real being Real though, his time is probably up.

I have a sneaky feeling Madrid will get through. Obviously not based on form but a feeling. I can't see Madrid winning the thing but I envisage them making the last 8 or 4 and losing to an English club.
Meh, the lineup tonite:
Casilla-Achraf-Nacho-Ramos-Theo-Llorente-Kovacic-Isco-Lucas-Asensio-Benzema

If we're fully fit, only 3 of those guys will start against PSG

Doesn't matter if you face Juventus in the UCL final or Leganes in the Bernabeu, the tactical mastermind has a clear concept

"We play outside, cross, and... step in and... we score"

He usually claps hands to give tactical instructions. That's the only thing he does

I think we can safely assume Flo will be booking a concert at the Bernaleo to rule it out as a venue for the Copa final, again

Expect Barca to score 3 at least against Espanyol today.

Normally, I would agree but there is a great mitigating factor on the night to contend with

That probably would’ve been a less embarrassing way to exit to be fair.

At least Leganes are a Liga 1 team. Worst results have happened to them in the Copa de Rey, but maybe not at the QF stage, at home, when they started the night a goal up, and they're already out of the titles race :smirk:

Plus, they really had arguably the easiest draw of the top 6 teams

Suarez scores 8 minutes in, 1-0 and the leg is level again

I do like Darder. I just think he could be more confident in his own abilities.

Leo is not only playing as good as ever, he's also running in defense and pressing

What a guy

2-0 Messi

I don't like Messi but I do love hearing Ray Hudson's commentary on him!

"If he was told to be there or be square, he'd be both".

Ray Hudson really is a disgusting commentator. Almost acts as if he's the main attraction. We're not here to listen to your orgasmic shrieks whenever Messi looks in the general direction of the ball. Idiot.

I only speak English. Genuinely wouldn't have a clue how he comes across as it's all subtitled or translated.
Fair enough! I'm not trying to convert anyone who does like him - just stating my opinion on him.

This scum of a ref Lahoz should be striped of his referee license.

Are we with 3 yellow cards after commiting 2 fouls?

Edit: Yes we are

This ref always wrecks my head, I don't know what his problem is

PTSD from 2012 CL coming back.

I really can't decide which team is dirtier, Atletico or Espanyol.

Mateu is a disgrace, I don't know how players can keep their calm with a guy like him with everything on the line

This is Spain though, we've seen it for years now - there has been consistency in it for some time

Coutinho looking good. Looks like he'll slot right in. Well deserved win for Barca, the treble is on.

Told you Barca would have won easily. Espanyol didn't even try. They are favourites for the treble, imo.

Fav for treble? Thats really exaggerating.

This time CL has so many top teams and with almost all major league winners almost decided, all top teams will go full throttle in CL and anyone could win it. The only trophy we have in the bag in La liga. Copa still has valencia and sevilla and semis and finals both are left so maybe an upset could happen in a 2 legged and one legged tie. A domestic double is still very probable to happen for us.

Cl is just another story altogether. Anything can happen there and I wouldn't be surprised if chelsea defeats us even with this massive difference in our forms right now.

Beating Espanyol is always good. I always support the idea of people having jobs and all, but I would happily shut that club down. Joke outfit.

Wow, after watching the game today, it's like you saw the future. Does this guy a reputation for being biased against Barca?
