I was reading about the Ferguson Missouri USA case of the shooting of Michael Brown, that 18 year old guy and was gobsmacked at how stupidly and absolutely recklessly he behaved.
He and his friend robbed a store for cigars. When police were called, a police officer came in a car. Brown punched the officer numerous times through the officer's car window. He then attemped to turn the officer's gun on himself and tried to shoot the officer! What on earth was he thinking!?!? You try to shoot an officer, you think it's going to end well?
He then fled the scene. As he was running away, the officer got out of the car and said "Stop, stop, stop". Brown then turned around and charged at the officer with his fists. Witnesses said that, at that moment, they themselves felt that the officer was in danger. Keep in mind that before this, Brown had tried to shoot the officer with the gun. The officer only shot Brown after he turned around and charged at him. He had robbed a store prior to this, just minutes before.
Loads of eye witnesses lied as well, to get attention and to paint the police officer in a negative light. That "hands up don't shoot" thing was a lie. Things like this make it hard to sympathise with Brown and some others. You turn an officer's gun on himself and try to shoot him, you punch an officer numerous times through his car window, you think it's going to end well and that you're making things better?
What a reckless way to behave, and from an 18 year old lad. I was sat shaking my head reading that story. Do some of these young people not have any idea of the consequences of their actions? That xxxtentacion bloke's killer is another one. What a numpty.
