Why should he not get his pension?
Well the argument is that part of his job was to protect kids in the event of a mass shooting, where he seems to have run away.
Why should he not get his pension?
Hence getting fired. But you can't just take someone's pension when you feel like it.
He must have worked a long long time to get that much pension pay. Wonder what their retirement formula is.
He had 25 years service. Looks like they take an average of his highest five years including overtime and he gets 100% of that.
Wow including OT and 100% of avg salary with less than 30 years.... that's very very generous. He had 25 years service. Looks like they take an average of his highest five years including overtime and he gets 100% of that.
The system is set up for the cops like that. Similar for firemen iirc.Wow including OT and 100% of avg salary with less than 30 years.... that's very very generous.

They ““work”” a ton of overtime in their last few years to bump their pension up.
Should be based on their straight time pay only.
Yea it should be base salary. I thought most public safety pensions excluded OT. My dept has a lot of overtime so our officers would absolutely KILL it if or pensions included OT payThe system is set up for the cops like that. Similar for firemen iirc.

I'm surprised the overtime pay is factored into it since its random and not part of an official pay chart.
So what's your problem with his pension?
There are a couple of things wrong with it TBH. Like others have said his pension is excessive and the system need changing. Also this guy was on the verge of getting fired yet he handed papers in and collects an excessively large pension. It must infuriate the parents of the kids that were slaughtered while he waited outside.
That guy had plenty of warnings. Why are people such dicks when dealing with the cops.
Its a two way street - sometimes its the citizens acting up, other times its the cops.
There are plenty of cops on a power trip for sure. That is why you need to be very careful how you behave around them. At the end of the day if you are stopped by the cops they have a job to do and you will lose if you act like a dick.
Another strange one.
Nothing wrong there but those court summons for insurance proof are cnuts because you have to take the time off and then you get charged a court fee just for proving you had insurance. It's another way of fecking over poor people.
He could've just given her a warning but she probably didn't do herself any favors by swearing at him and calling him a skinhead cop.
Her attitude from the get go quashed any chance of a warning. I have been pulled over numerous times, often for far worse than 37mph in a 25. I have only drive off with a ticket once in maybe 15-20 stops.
That cop was super polite and would have probably just warned her if she handle herself like an adult. Not having her documentation probably didn't help either.

I've been driving in US from 2006 and counting the year in India, it's been 11 years. I've been pulled over once I was driving, once when my friend was driving my car. What the feck have you been doing while driving Mike?
Personally, my experience with the cops have been very good. When I was pulled over, he almost let me go with a warning but then noticed I didn't have my insurance with me and my taillight was broken. He almost apologetically gave me a ticket but advised me to go to court and pay the fine of 40 dollars when my case comes up and assured there won't be any points added. Recently, I was involved in a minor bump and there were two women sitting on the car I bumped into. They promptly said both of them had whiplash injuries and their hips and head hurt like hell. Cop came to me and asked me to remain in my car and told me that he is going to insist that the paramedics come to the scene before filing any case. Promptly the women mentioned they didn't want paramedics and the officer let me go.
I think sort of confirms that the cops probably judge by the appearance of the affected. Non-threatening Asian guy in late 30's who appears nervous while talking to a cop means he's not a danger..
Being polite and cooperative definitely helps with the ticket v warning issue.
No kidding!.....i have so many questions about this.
how many times have you been pulled over? wtf
f from a quick google it looks like his local police department has 14 officers.
so is mike getting pulled over by each officer 4 times? is it like a bell curve? is one of the officers his neighbor and sometimes when mike drives by the officer is mowing the lawn and waves at him and they chat about the weather and mike counts that as being pulled over? i have so many questions about this.
Wtf, you got ICE-T stickers all over your car or something ?In my lifetime around 15-20 without sitting and adding them up. Mainly speeding but a couple of times for other things. Its been a long time since the last one, which was doing 68 in a 45. It was a road that everyone does at least 55 on though. Believe it or not cops are just people like everyone else. Treat them with respect and follow instruction and you will be OK 99.99% of the time. I think I have only had a run in with one power hungry idiot that wasn't that respectful to me.
