Cop in America doing a bad job, again

Watching it right now on CNN.

Seriously, those 5 assholes involved in Tyre Nichols' death... I spit in your faces and shit on your badge repeatedly.

Totally defenseless.

Bunch of gunshots close by in Savannah, no clue if it’s in regard to this or just a regular Friday night.

What a fecked up place. Poor guy was treated as sub human.

Definitely was a coup, Trump egging them on and Pence pressured to call the election for Trump. They wanted to hang Pelosi and Pence.

People died and got severely wounded so don’t fecking try to downplay it.
No one died.....

we will have to agree to disagree on this

just watched the video of the guy in memphis...

shocking to say the least....that poor guy did nothing wrong and just got treated like an animal

good on the memphis chief for firing and arresting them immediately...that was as bad or worse than the Rodney King incident

how's that possible bc we have black cops and black people can't be racist? you have black cops arresting black people and white people who don't obey the laws of the country. that doesn't make them racist and to say racism is policing and thus it is inherent to the organization is just hyperbole and deflection to the why not the who...ie color of someones skin.
Oddly enough, the most racist person I ever met was a black fella I worked with from Jamaica, he absolutely hated Rastafarians and called them every name under the sum + some, never had a problem with all us white folks who worked there

Disgusting video. The first is bad enough, but the second one taken by cctv/balcony is next level. Goes from brutality to pure sadism.

haha...funny you say that. played footy with a jamaican and he was the same damn way towards one of my trinny mates.....it actually shocked me

A bit more on Cop City for the uninitiated…

The Brtish Army used to have one of these, it was called Belfast, was house-to-house why British para used to be known as the best street fighting military unit there was

Tell me you don’t understand federalism without telling me you don’t understand federalism. Bosskeano will go first
come on...no chance Federalism would happen in this country in the modern era. How do you honestly expect them to set up regional governments and separate power to states? That seriously wasn't the idea behind what took place and that was never on the table from any republican that has addressed the issue since taht took place

A riot is a legitimate response to some things. We'll see about this one, but they've basically primed it to happen already so it has to be really bad.
I’m always opposed to riots. In response to most the police things I’ve seen. But this video is something different. Resistance to that is legitimate and justified. If that video was of the Iranian police doing it to an Iranian civilian and the very next day the people turned on the police. No one would object.

It was a while ago and it did take me aback at the time, especially as a few years earlier we had a Rasta living mext door and he was as fine a fella as you'd hope to meet!

In Europe they call it the EU

I'm pretty sure the police would but Iran isn't a democracy so is not comparable

Nothing with change with regards to the latest murder. The end result of the Floyd protests were a democratic president increasing police funding and BLM becoming discredited as a organisation due to them having millions of donations disappearing/not getting used correctly.

The next fews day there might be some riots, followed by meaningless political debates about was this a racist or not killing because the police officers were black, then everyone will forget it happened and continue on as “normal”.

The only thing worth saying is that hopefully the family get some time to grieve.

That about sums it up unfortunately

This video is very different to the George Floyd video. That was bad but also subconsciously it’s how you imagine police brutality to be, if that makes sense, where there’s an element of incompetence and fear.

The video today was how gangs in Mexico beat up civilians. It’s how invading armies have ‘fun’ with the people they invade. Could be a major turning point. Genuinely, would have caused less shock and outrage if they just shot him when he run off after the first beating.

Here's how the comments section on Foxnews is playing:

"Why is it unfortunate he lost his life? Do you know anything about him? Why did he not comply? People like him put cops in horrible positions and people start sympathizing with criminals which helps nothing. We see that all over America. Do you know how many cops get charged and prosecuted every year for actual murders of people? I bet you would be suprised. Cops don't just get away with anything like people think. These high profile cases are not even the real murders. The counties pay millions for wrongful death even when the cops are found innocent. It is all political garbage and politics."

How many times did they tell him to give them his hands so he could be cuffed??? Resisting arrest never ends well…..cooperate. Never would have escalated….the pepper spray never would have come out nor the baton…..had…..had he SIMPLY… cooperated and complied. Same for George Floyd. Could have been a non event routine arrest……..

Ya just ask Ashley babbitt.... oh wait she dead too

And lastly from me posting...there's loads more

Had he complied, he would be home right now and would not have had to post bond. He fought police attempts to handcuff him at both confrontations, he felt no pain from strikes, and pepper spray did nothing to stop his resistance. He was either high, crazy, or both. He created his own destiny

Support the Blue is out in force, I'm not American but if I was I'd be ashamed of my fellow citizens!

RAW VIDEO: Memphis PD releases videos in Tyre Nichols’ death

Unedited, 1:20:43 in total

Police body camera videos are disgusting, the pole camera footage is especially sickening (49:40, no tone)

Well he works for Fox, i though that was kind of required??
He was quite the commendable sports reporter out of the Midwest years ago. Not sure if this version of him is his true version & we are just now seeing it or if he had to work at his transformation / grift.

OK - I really know him TBH, I only follow MLB and mainly the Red Sox in US sports

These videos are about as equally disturbing as the Rodney King clip. RK was so jarring due to its uniqueness, nothing like that had ever been seen before & the raw force of the cops was jaw dropping. It was a bit more concentrated than the Tyre Nichols in terms of sheer brutality, but the jarring aspect of the TN video is that he was completely defenseless during the beating.
