Best thing for everyone really. Time to look forward to next season!

Well, if it happens it should happen quick. No point dragging out a sacking saga.

No offence if you are English, but I wouldn't consider that to be one of the biggest jobs in world football as it is made out to be. Its not like he had to compete with mourinho, or ancelloti etc to get it.
I'm not saying it is, but it doesn't mean it's the end of the road in terms of getting respected positions.

Please happen. I won't forgive you for this journalists if not.

Where has this sudden burst of news come from? Are we sure it's not just a rumour that all the papers have just jumped on? If it is true then I would be disappointed for Moyes but he has made so many mistakes this season that he made it difficult for him to keep the support of the fans and the board.

The reaction of some of you lot in here is embarrassing, it's nothing to celebrate this. The entire situation is still shite, whether you think it's the right decision of not. Cause for celebration it isn't.

He doesn't have a fecking clue what's going on, no sources whatsoever but is trying to get in the party with everyone else. fecking professional Twitter ITK

We can be fecking excited about the transfer window and next season now!?

YES!

Oh I know he can get good jobs still. I just mean clubs like united or arsenal or others at or around that level. Its not like he will have to beg for jobs or something

Wow. I couldn't see it happening before the end of the season. But if it does...well, I'll be much more positive about our chances next season.

David Moyes becomes Manchester United manager

He was financially set before he joined us. His bridges with his previous club have now been burnt and he will get no love from us either. Hard not to feel a bit sorry for him. He'll get a decent job soon, the Villa job will soon become available I think.

Yes, but to be fair we have done a great favour to Everton by getting Moyes from them, now they are much better.

I doubt that he will ever reach the heights of Everton, but he will do an okay job on a Premier league midtable/lowtable club. He had his chance which he was waiting for and he absolutely bottled it. Now his career will mirror that of Allardyce (who could never repeat his Bolton's 'achievement'.

He wasn't anyway going to get a chance on a big club other than United for obvious reasons, so he at least had his adventure here. His reputation hasn't been ruined because he will find a midtable club soon, and he wasn't ever going to manage a top club other than us.

Senior Journos are putting their name to it - Ogden and Winter at the Telegraph, Ladyman at the Mail. They've obviously been briefed.

Getting rid of a manager who is clearly out of his depth and who has overseen a disastrous season ISN'T cause to celebrate??
