Music Commercial Hip Hop Thread

I have come to the conclusion that The Infamous album is the greatest hip hop album of all time, in my opinion ofcourse. It had always been one of my all time favourites but the more I listen to it the more it just confirms that it is.

That looks incredible. Seeing tracks like D'Evils live would send tingles down my spine. Raw shit you'd never see him do at a standard Jigga concert.

EDIT: Oh shit, Jay-Electronica too!

This is a damn shame. Reminds me of Stack Bundle's similar murder.

Rappers like to cater to their origins in the music and real life but the hood is a zero sum exercise.

Once you get that first check you should be on your way out of the hood imo, you dont get brownie points for being a rich guy in the hood, you become a target..........i still haven't gotten over the Lil Snupe murder.

Im loving Snoops Bush album. Easy listening for the grown and sexy. This is will get a lot of spins at my cook outs this summer. Pharrell produced the whole thing
Im ya dogg feat Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar

So many pros. What a fecking cool video too

Peaches and cream- Certified party banger

Does this count as commercial? It was #1 in France.

Everything counts in this thread, the commercial is just a way of saying "you won't be judged by old hip hop heads for listening to Migos or Future, or the new generation of rap" at least imo, dont know what Paz originally had in mind.

What's the best project to jump in on for Future? I've liked a few of the songs I've seen in this thread but haven't ever listened to him beyond a few features.

You might as well listen to Monster, Beast Mode and 56 Nights which all dropped recently, there's a whole slew of older mixtapes and projects too (Astronaut Status, Dirty Sprite, Pluto and Honest worth checking). Here are some of my favourite Future songs from the last 6 months all off of the mixtape I mentioned first:

Future deserves a fecking Oscar for the 2nd half of Throwaway tbh.

'I'm an addict and I can't even hide it' >>>>>>>>>>>>.

The Thug only version is better tbh but god damn Thug said 'I'm gonna ride in that pussy like a stroller'.

Also for those interested Jamie xx's album has leaked.

For those not interested what is wrong with you?

Are you being sarcastic with your apparent love of Young Thug? I feel like my IQ drops every time I make the mistake of hitting play on one of his tracks. The only reason I do is because I want to understand why anyone listens to him, but I just don't.

You don't need to understand it. A lot of cats hate on the young nigga (not saying you do) by default but for me he's doing his thing.

I am serious man, Thug is great. There's nothing really amazing under what he is saying but the way he approaches his songs with melodies, flows and rhythms is probably unmatched in rap right now. It's a very visceral style of performing rap, he always sounds like he's either about to run out of oxygen and explode out of the beat or he becomes so understated that he sounds like the beat is about to collapse in on him. He's like a fully realised version of leaned-out Lil' Wayne.

IMO he is technically underrated even if he isn't the most verbose rapper on the planet but who the fecks wants to listen to rappers saying a bunch of shit which has been said before when you can listen to Thug tell you that he's gonna ride in that pussy in a stroller? It's guys like Thug, Future, Chief Keef, Migos, Lil B etc. who actually push rap music forward because they're experimenting and not giving a shit whilst other rappers have to make everyday rap songs on their atypical rap albums.

I listen to Riff Raff so i'm not exactly in a position to judge anyone else.
