College Football 2021/22

Praying Helton survives for another year :D

Don't worry, he has one talent, and that talent is winning must win games. Not must win for titles or anything, that would be too simple. No, good old Clay "Milquetoast" Helton is a master at winning the games that ensure he stays hired. Asshole.

@WI_Red - did you see where UGA now has a bunch of Covid cases in the team?
Yep! Love it as they are playing my Blazers this weekend. Would be glorious and the best win in school history if we could pull it off. UAB’s defense is legit, but the offense sucks. Should be fun, especially considering the totality of the UAB story (I was in one of the protest march clips on TV as they were walking past the building I was in as I was leaving to go across campus. What a fun way to commute!)

What 4 idiots put Georgia over Bama in the most recent AP poll? My bet is on the Auburn beat writer and someone from South Carolina.

This targeting stuff is rough. How are you supposed to hit them in the correct position at full speed when the runner is falling?

Wasn‘t called in any case…

This doesn’t rule out tOSU by any means, but it does feel like it was a ‘playoff qualifier’ of sorts for Oregon.

Ugly ugly game by my Blazers. I was hoping they would at least keep it competitive. They have a few fringe NFL guys on that defense (ESPN ranked them in the top 25 defenses for 2021), but oh man. Really shows the talent gap between the haves and have nots.

Great day for the PAC to regain some credibility, even though CU could not close out the A&M game they hung with them.

The BigXII…not so much.

I don’t know if a highlight will pop up because this is just a glorified scrimmage, but this QB was so excited to get a decent run against OU that he started high-stepping like he was Neon Deon or Ronaldo in the wrong sport or…I don’t know what the hell he was doing really.

So we knocked the ball out of his hands and recovered the fumble.

Got all excited after a long ass day to sit down with a nice whiskey and watch a bit of the USC game. Oh look, it’s a 4 hour Yankee game. feck off.

edit: and do they go to the game once this New York trash is over? No, we now have to do interviews. Double feck off.

Did you watch the Notre Dame game earlier? The QB Jack Coan is from NY.

 Jinx

They literally tore down the goalposts after the result, quite bizarre the fans still consider Texas as some giant worthy of a celebration.
It is a huge win for them. They’ve had a rivalry with Texas since the 1890s and Arkansas’ last several seasons have been 4-8, 2-10, 2-10, 3-7.

They think they have a rivarly with Texas but that was some 30 years ago. It was small time by a wannabe program. We'd laugh at Norwich doing such against Villa. Even funnier was Kansas doing it the week before against some small school.

Speaking of old rivalries, OU-Nebraska has lost so much steam we couldn’t get it out of the 11AM kickoff slot.

And Nebraska even tried to get out of playing it, which tells you how much it means to them.

Considering Texas is coming into the SEC, likely in Arkansas’ division, and Arkansas is now 5-2 against Texas since 2000, and that they recruit the same areas for players, you might be underestimating how much that win means to the Razorbacks.
