Coentrao plots Man Utd move

I would have loved him before we went for shaw, but at this point we need to stick to our investment.
 
Hows our European/homegrown quota etc looking. Aka, how many more non English players can we sign?
 
Not for me. Would have liked him 18 months ago, but now with Shaw, Blind, Rojo and Young all able to cover, it's not a worthwhile or necessary investment.
 
Would have said yes in 2013. No need for him now though.
 
A right back should be the priority in the full back positions, we have no real need for a left back.
 
Left back is one of our best covered areas FFS. Such rubbish.
 
It doesn't make sense now, considering that we have Shaw there while Rojo and Blind can play there too.
 
Signing him would mean we'd have top two most expensive left backs in history :lol:

I rate Shaw and with cover from Blind, Rojo and Young I think LB and GK are the only positions we don't need strength in.
 
Would love to see Coentrao play for United. Fantastic fullback, and can teach Shaw how to be a regular at a top club. I think all those worried about what it would mean for Shaw are forgetting that he's a teenager. He's not going to be starting every game for United for years in all likelihood.

I like what Blind has done at LB the last couple games...but I hate the idea of him being our LB cover. Too slow and best used elsewhere. Rojo in that spot is also very limited.
 
We have got good covers in Young who I believe can be turned into some sort of solid fullback like Valencia on the right, Blind a solid option as well as Rojo but in first case we have Shaw who will be the best center back in England in three years, why would we slow down his development?

And no more tanned players from south, already half of the squad speak spanish
 
It would be terrifying see him bomb down the left behind AdM or Adnan.

For which team, I'm not really sure...
 
He can plot all he like, he won't end up here in all likelihood with our current LB options.
 
Would be a very disappointing signing. We spent £30 million pounds on a left back last year who is more than capable of filling that spot for he next 15 years. He isn't injury prone eiher, nor is his fitness too bad to play there regularly. We've already got Blind too who is playing there at the moment because he is doing really well there, and has actually outcompeded Shaw. We've also got Rojo who excelled as a left back during the world cup. Blackett can play left back. Heck, even Evans has played there too. Oh, and yeah, both Young and Rafael has played left back this season so they can play there too.
Yep, we definitely need Coentrao..
 
We have Shaw, Blind, Rojo, Young, Blackett and Evans.
At RB we have Rafael, Valenica, Jones.
I know which side I'd rather strengthen.
