Television Cobra Kai

Watched another 2 and just have to point out the rediculousness of the Silver re-introduction in 3 parts:
  1. The thickness of the steam that then magically disappeared for the rest of the scene
  2. I said to my wife and sons "everyone else in that room hates him (framed Kreese for attempted murder, stabbed and tried to kill Chozen, beat the shit out of Daniel and Jonny), why don't they drag him out of the pool and batter him". Someone in the show even said they would do it, then two masseuses appeared. I guess they were like "Ohhhh, sorry, we were going to beat you do death but we didn't realize you had a massage booked, we'll come back later.".
  3. The "will Kenny defect" arc that lasted approximately 4 minutes. If this develops in the last couple of episodes then fine but as is seems completely pointless.
Still love it though.

im so glad nothing came from 3. Felt like it was going to be a dragging theme just to have some trust issues. Glad they made it last as long (or short) as they did. I didnt mind they actually broached the topic but killed it straight away.
1 and 2 is funny. Only thing for 2 is maybe witnesses, but even so, its funny

Awful acting, I can’t stand most of the characters and the storylines are getting more ridiculous by the season BUT I still love this show! One more season is enough though.

Demetri and Eli, binary brothers!

Demetri is a grade a cnut. Can't stand him. The only reason I don't hate him as much is because Sam is a bigger cnut.

Hahaha they are all cnuts! Sam is one the biggest that’s for sure. She’s the slowest Karate person I’ve ever seen.

I think the only character I like is Kenny. Anthony Larusso, feck me, enough said.

I do like a few.

Kenny is good. Hawk used to be good. Always have a soft spot for Johnny. Larusso wife would get it. Kwon was fun until he thought holding a knife whilst doing spinny shit was a good idea.

The issue with Sam is that the actress is clearly uncomfortable doing the martial arts choreography yet we're meant to buy that she's good enough to be captain of the team.

Miguel used to be ok and Tori but they’re both really annoying now. Stingray was hilariously bad so much I liked him. Johnny is ok, bit of a knob though obviously. Ivan Drago in this latest season was some top notch shithousery. Terrible actor, terrible character, clearly an adult at a teens competition. You gotta love it.

And Robbie, omg he’s one of the worst. His stupid face.

Agree with Kwon, Silver and Kreese up there on my list cause if your gonna go all in at least be a bad guy.

How the actress who plays Sam got picked I have no idea. She waddles around on the matt like an overweight pensioner. It’s ridiculous.

Great show. The latest season was a great laugh, best in a while. It's so intentionally stupid it's brilliant.

The show was good but it just got more and more silly over time with the Karate fights looking more and more unrealistic.

It's weird how the cast all act like their Karate is going to change the world.

Doesn't help that they're now against actors who are actual marital artists in real life, so their laboured moves look even worse.

I shudder to think what a fight between Sam and that Indian girl would look like

Funnily enough in the episodes that have just came out, the girl for that dragon team is Rayna Vallandingham, she is a 13x world champion in Taekwondo and has a 4th degree black belt at aged 20.

But yeah having Mary Mouser (Sam) as a main character with such poor martial arts experience is a poor decision.

The show has some good story lines, but there are a lot of cringey fight scenes are not believable, but are that way to appeal to younger people I suppose.

Yeah and I think Kwon is some kind of TKD expert too as I've seen clips of him on insta with his belts/medals etc.

Really disappointed in the ending. Was a fun show but if thats really the last ever episode its terrible. So much shit left unresolved (literally everything).

You can clearly see the skill gap between the real fighters and the core originals. To a ridiculous point. Sam is clearly the worst of the bunch by a huge margin though. It seems like they can all karate a little bit cept her.
Apparently the little kid with the glasses who is in Miyagi Do is a legit junior black belt, he just can't act.

it wasn't the last one

yeah, no idea why

that must have been a massive letdown after 6 seasons
Serves me right for not paying attention. I said to my daughter who I watch it with "what a shitty, violence is bad way to end the show."
I'll have to tell her its not done.

Oh right thats probably why. I was staring at the screen like "What the feck". Being released in 3 parts?
 Its quite funny concept to leave it like that (and not due to a cancellation)
