I don't hope they stay (that's far too strong). But if they do, I'll probably carry on as before: taking a more or less active interest in United, hoping that we're looking at a new dawn in the post-Woodward era.

To each their own, but I don't know why any fan would want this. Unless it's just "better the enemy you know"
Richard Arnold, John Murtough, Darren Fletcher and co are probably hoping the Glazer's stay
I agree but there's a definite cursed wish vibe to all this.
If it was done in GBP, would there not be a fee to convert it to USD as their preferred currency. Or are we dealing at levels where conversion fees don't apply.
I'm pretty certain the deal will be in USD anyway.
Can someone who knows more about this takeover than me (the majority of you) explain to me what the likely outcome is going to be? Explain it in percentage terms if you can.

If Qatar or Ineos, or whoever buys the club, want to solve the debt transfer debt immediately and without impacting FFP going forward is it an option to wrap it up in the sale price?

Could well be. I certainly don't expect either of the likely buyers to be perfect owners.
But I also can't see how either can be worse than the Glazer's and hold the club back so much. They weren't willing to spend any of their own money, even when it could have made them more money in the long-term. They take absolutely no risks and are not fit to be owners of such a huge club.
The bolded part. Spreads and commissions on large FX trades are minimal.
I have been out on the team for the best part of 20 years. A new owner gives the club a clean slate from my perspective. I do hope it is Ratcliffe though.

They are hated and this fiasco wouldn't help them one bit, they won't get better offers realistically as we now have a lot of competition around us and aren't winning constantly and they could just pocket a few billion than take a "few" million each year

Whether or not they have seen the polls, they won't care. All they'll care about is who offers them the most money and who can get the deal done the quickest. On top of any extra perks.
As I say, PR helps the buying organisation. They can help build up relationships with the fans well before they're in power. It is always good to have your fans onside from the outset. Look at the Glazers, they had the opposite.

They aint staying you can't say you want to sell definitively as that lowers the price.
Share price has gone back up over 25 today. Not too far off from its high a month ago.
This is it right... they are being offered in the region of 5-5.5bn to leave the club.
If they do not take this offer, there must be something wrong with them, its not like they are interested in Manutd at all, that is apparent from the lack of investment from them.
Qatar and INEOS will not be back a year or two to bid because they would not want to go through a process like this to end up with nothing.
They are hated in Manchester, they make £11m in dividends a year. They surely take this money and walk away.

Probably because like a lot of Americans they think there's a lot more value to be squeezed out of football clubs. I don't think that they think that these kinds of sums are exorbitant so that's the difference between the way many fans look at it and the way these guys approach a valuation.
Also they don't give a feck about whether they're hated, let's be clear on that. They've seen off worse times than the present, completely unaffected. Not as difficult when you're an ocean away. I don't think they'd have any problem not selling the club and continuing on from the perspective of them being despised further.
They have been to be fair, but also because Manchester United and Nice are unlikely to play in the same European competition. UEFA are potentially going to be scrapping that rule anyway.
They're not staying. You don't initiate this process and stay.
One thing that everyone seems to ignore including SkySports is you don't go to Raine Group to handle the sale and not bother.
Raine Group will command a large fee for handling all the logistics of a sale of this magnitude they're doing all the ground work here including screening suitors.
You do not start this process and back out, you have to still pay Raine Group and the Glazers wouldn't initiate this process otherwise.
The Raine Group made around £30m from the sale of Chelsea, it'd be a larger fee for United considering the length of time too.
No way do the Glazers pay out ~£50m to Raine and don't sell.
Its a complete non story as far as I'm concerned.

Pundits act like it's a no win no fee tv ad for selling the club for the Glazers, they have to pay a lot of money for this process.

I agree. I've opposed and criticized the ownership to varying degrees for 25+ years. And short of one of these bidders donating half the club to the fans to make it 50+1 fan ownership, I will continue to oppose the owners.
I hope you pro-Qatari ownership folks can still vocally criticize Qatar's abuses (and the pro-SJR folks criticize Ineos' environmental abuses, should they win). Both are problematic. You can support one's ownership and still call out the horrible things they do. Turn their attempts at sportswashing/greenwashing against them by using their ownership of United to highlight their abuses.
The United fanbase has built an incredible protest culture. I would love to see that used to counter the sportswashing/greenwashing attempts.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ineos did a deal that kept Joel and Avram as minority owners if it gave them an advantage.

Qatar owners - 75%
Ratcliffe - 20%
Glazers - 5 %

Qatar is easily the likeliest.
Glazers (in some shape or form) remaining as owners is more likely than Jim in my opinion: I don't see Jim outbidding Qatar. Whereas it is possible that Joel/Avram could buy out the other Glazers if they really want to hold on to United (in some shape or form).
For me: Qatar (most likely) > Glazers (in some shape or form) > Jim (least likely, he won't outbid the Qataris and that's the bottom line, as they say).
