Personally I’d rather win football trophies, but each to their own I guess!!![]()
The ecstasy of winning a trophy maybe lasts a day or two. Topping the Deloitte money list will last at least until the next one come out!

To be fair, it's probably the most important league given what football is about these days. The ecstasy of winning a trophy maybe lasts a day or two. Topping the Deloitte money list will last at least until the next one come out!
Wasn't Ratcliffe's first bid bigger than Qatar's given that it was only for a percentage? Will Ratcliffe even make a second bid? Its one thing swinging your dick, its another when Qatar put about 5 billion on the table.

Something else he is not doing himself personally…… master of delegation this guy!![]()
Qatar are very likely to win. Wipe the debt off, invest in the infrastructure and make sure that we employ the best-in-class staff. United will generate hell lot of money which the club wil be able to use for themselves. The value of the club will grow sigifnicantly, so I won't be surprised to see us topping the Deloitte list in 2-3 years.
You're arguing semantics. 'Pro Qatari bid' is the same level of cringe when there is so little information about the specifics of either bid or how the club will be run with an either potential owner. Sure, you can favor the bid, but to shill and goad in this thread just because others a) have ethical or sporting reasons against state ownership or b) question the reasons for wanting Qatari ownership is goofball behavior. Your last sentence is an excellent example of what I mean. Has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.
I honestly don't want to engage with you about this anymore, given your responses in this thread. We can agree to disagree.
The day these rats leave the club should be made a club holiday.
It's happening. I can't control my sheikhs.
“Oh Deloitte, Deloitte!Top of the deloitte list.

We are discussing on the little we know and on the Qatari/ineos football track record. If new info comes out then everyone is free to change opinion. For example I was pro SJR up until Jassim bid came in. If a better option comes in or SJR comes with something better then jassim then I switch. I am pro man utd and I want its best. I can't care less about the owners and quite frankly I never liked our owners in the first place
Some want to add the moral issue to it which is fair enough but it does become tired after reading the same post again and again. I only care about the football side of it.
I don't mind to applaud a person who comes with a valid argument as kinsella did not long ago. As said my loyalty lie with the club, nothing else
Ineos don’t own a football club there, but hey, don’t let that stop you
One thing I will ask you though @devilish, considering you bang pn about ”bike guy” every single day.
Who do you feel would be more suited to the role of INEOS sports sporting director? A role that incorporates cycling, F1, Sailing, Rugby, Football & Running? Would a football guy somehow be better suited![]()

Yes, given that he only seems to be bidding for 69%.Simple question
Does anyone here think, against the consensus, that INEOS could yet outbid Sheikh Jassim's team?
I don't think anyone is knowledgeable in all those sports. How can you be an expert in both F1 and football? Thus you should have different experts per branch. Hence why bike guy shouldn't be taking football decisions especially considering his chequered reputation

If you are already borrowing 4 billion from wall street what's an another decades debt to make it 5?Simple question

I think that depends on the backing Jassim has. If it’s genuinely a private bid, funded by family money then there is every chance.Simple question

Exactly.
Which is probably why they employed Florent as Nice Sporting Director and have experts running each branch.
Now can you give the nonsense a rest.
Ha 69. What a legend.Yes, given that he only seems to be bidding for 69%.

We could cicumvent ffp by paying players a lot more off the books through projects in Qatar, which would make us much more competetive in the transfer market. What's not to like? The timing for Qatar is perfect especially with the TeamViewer situation.
We could get a £150m a year contract with Qatar Airways or something, and that'll ease the FFP trouble we're in the near future. If we get our shit together in the next 2 seasons, the Adidas deal is up for renewal as well and that could also legitimately break £100m a season.

Fair enough, thanks. All that 100% stuff was a bit misleading. Both parties are only bidding for the Glazers 69% controlling interest of the club. Once they own the majority of the club they can then decide if they want to go about purchasing the other 31% of shares.

Glazers must have an incredibly tight NDA in place. Would have expected at least a formal interview with the BBC or Times by this stage from both the Qatar and Goldman Sachs bids.

Do we even know if Shiekh Jassim actually exists? though does it really matter as it's certainly not him buying the club of he does exist
