Thinks the caf is 'wokeish'.
Schmeichel was beyond great but he's a bit of a tit these days.
Duh! Gary bailey

rAcIsMWhy are people saying we are being bought ”by Qatar” rather than by a Qatari person?
At the very least they will rebuild the stadium and give us state of the art training facilities.I still can't fully get on board with any of this. I'm not sure how INEOS can be in with much chance, and if they are then what that means for the club being debtless in future. The Sheikh Jassim bid still seems like a complex way to have the Qatari state buy the club. Regardless, both parties have shown prior experience of mismanaging football clubs.
I mean, sure, it results in the Glazers finally fecking off but right now still we're just chasing news reports and I just hope we don't look back in five years time and say "well this has turned out to be a bit shit".
Looks like Jamsil will close this pretty soon. Bit surprised he’s suddenly briefing about getting ex-players involved, who, why, and in which roles? Hard to think of any ex-United players who would add very much.
A certain goalie...?
Surely nobody still thinks Jassim, who basically appeared from nowhere with a history written by ChatGPT is genuinely a sole party interested in buying the club?
He's a front. A nail salon and through the back sits the Qatari Royal family.

With regards team building, PSG is a much harder project to manage. The weakness of Ligue 1 is a significant issue that causes numerous problems that a PL club obviously wouldn't face. That being said, they've had a much better team than us for the most part of the last decade. Much higher level quality of football.
Where have you read that he's looking to get ex players involved?

With disdain till it happens to them. And then it's grand because "that's what we need to compete" blah blah..Does anyone know how other clubs message boards are reacting to the prospect of Qatar taking over United?
I seem to remember some meltdowns on here over the Saudi Newcastle bid before I hid that thread
Because the guy who is meant to be buying us doesn't have a spare 5bn to buy a football club. He's said to be worth 1.6bn.
You'd have to have about 30bn to be able to spend so much on a football club as nobody would put every penny they own in.
City's frontman was that shady Al-Fahim guy, who faded into obscurity immediately after the takeover, only to re-emerge months later as the new Portsmouth owner as they went into administration and down to the Championship.Because everyone knows where the money is really coming from.
But also, based on previous takeovers, these types of buyers often use a person to front the bid. Sometimes once the takeover is complete, the face of the bid vanishes. Can't remember if it was PSG or City where we were shown a person throughout the takeover who then just vanished after it was complete.
Though all of those saying SJR might buy us are also wrong, as he's just fronting for Ineos.... though he also owns Ineos. A sort of take over inception.
Safe to say, his net worth valuations are likely way off the mark. They don't disclose their finances and coming from a key branch (not the most important one, but still key) of the family he most likely got access to the massive cash pool in one way or another.
I think most people realise this now tbf but clearly it's still not everyone.
Nobody in Qatar has 5bn to spend on a vanity project except the state and royals.
The fact his father (HBJ) spoke about the deal in his interview is telling. Jassim certainly isn’t doing this alone, even if it isn’t state backed (which is likely)Safe to say, his net worth valuations are likely way off the mark. Seeing the tweets about how Sheikh Jassim wants to buy the club so much, how engaged he would be, and how ambitious he is, when I know there's no way he is the one buying the club to begin with, itself makes the Qatari potential ownership feel so hollow to me.Surely nobody still thinks Jassim, who basically appeared from nowhere with a history written by ChatGPT is genuinely a sole party interested in buying the club?

He should showup with a T-shirt written on it, I am a local, I am superior to Jasim.SJR better get there early and prepare to spend 15 hours or no deal
Why would he not take his closest advisors with him to such a big job and big opportunity?

I'm struggling to see where the positives to them winning the bid are for a Manchester United fan from all perspectives. I'm not going to get excited by words that clearly haven't come from the man they are being attributed to.
The money behind Newcastle is almost certainly from the state / MBS too. They have clearly found loopholes in the way they buy football clubs. I suppose people are too afraid to ask them too many questions as well. We all know what could happen.
To be fair the club has been super socials focused since they took over so that’s not quite fair. Surely you remember good old Ed Woody giving his social media interactions updates during the investor calls? Good times…..For me it's to similar to the circus we have been for a decade under the Glazers. Though that's just a personal opinion.
I can sort of understand the idea behind it, in the context of the modern world. Gain support and momentum via social media. It's the way things tend to be done these days.
One thing to consider is that the Glazers are quite possibly the most out of date, archaic people on the entire planet so it probably won't mean much to them. They probably think twitter is some sort of infliction that requires a lobotomy.
PIF is official part-owner of Newcastle.

Full owner more like. That's the point I was making.

AgreedI think part of the problem has been them entrusting things to complete morons and being to slow to realise. At one point things got completely out of control at this club and Woodward was the main driver of it all. They clearly put far to much trust in him, which happens when you run things from 3000 miles away.
We need a Turkish-Glaswegian consortium to win. You haven't lived until you've eaten a sarbeni whilst pissed up.I'm not being racist but it's probably time we had a shawarma van at OT.

These fans really need to have postcodes on these flags so we know how serious to take them.
Can't beat a good oul hoagie either. We need a Turkish-Glaswegian consortium to win. You haven't lived until you've eaten a sarbeni whilst pissed up.

Sheikh Mansour wrote an open letter to the City fans when he bought the club. There was nothing secret about him taking over the club.
