So apparently the picture of Sheikh Jassim in a Manchester United too was doctored.

Which begs the question what was he wearing then if not a United top?

My money is a Ramones top but who knows

My 2 favorite examples of mental gymnastics these last few weeks / months have been:

1. Trying to pitch PSG as a well run club () whilst acting like Ratcliffe has made Nice relegation candidates from a team that had a chance of catching up to PSG.

2. Trying to paint Ratcliffe as the most evil billionaire to ever walk the Earth whilst literally twerking for a dictatorship that does way worse stuff on a daily basis.

Embarrassing
That’s works both ways though? Even in your condescending post here you’re placing Ratcliffe as some victim of whataboutery who’s shouldn’t be compared because of..reasons?

Why do you talk like Jassim and his father own and run PSG? Your assumptions are embarrassing..

I'm all for criticising every potential buyer equally...however, attacking some random billionaire individual while fawning over some people that are heavily connected to a horrible regime (whose leaders are among the most horrible humans on this planet, let's face it) just because they have way more money and said all the things that the fans wanted to hear is really not it. :)

You think that dude and his father are totally independent of the qatari state and are actually good hearted people that want to buy United for the sole reason of being passionate about the club?

Apart from vague assumptions about how Qatar operates, do we have reason to believe otherwise?

What are your assumptions they aren’t a well run club? Because they haven’t won a CL?

PSG had won the league a massive twice before Qatar came along and one of those was almost 40 years ago. Small club in a shit league turned into one of Europes best clubs within 10 years. They haven’t won a CL but they’ve come close (just like City) but you’re acting like they’ve failed when in reality they’ve built one of the biggest clubs in Europe from nothing.

Or maybe it's a case of being a bit more objective and not cheerleading for a known Brexiteer who profits from gullible fools?

Yes. The population of Qataris living in their home country is just around 330,000 -> a bit less than 15% of the country's total population. The country is also basically a dictatorship where you can't say a bad word about the royal family and let's not get into the freedom of press or human rights, especially the treatment of migrant workers that travel to Qatar from South East Asia to work 16 hours a day for $200 a month and be treated like subhumans in exchange.

So, if you're aware of the situation in Qatar and still believe that a random billionaire guy that was the chairman of one of the biggest banks in the country by his mid 20s is not connected to the state, then you're dreaming.

Sacking managers left and right based on a single CL game / tie, buying big names aimlessly (Messi, Ramos, Donnarumma, buying Neymar out of spite, etc.), the club being a fecking circus filled with prima donnas all the way from the top (Al-Khelaifi) down to the players (Mbappé, etc.), and last but not least, not giving enough control over most decisions to the manager. You get the feeling that even some players have more power there.

But yeah, let's praise them for dominating a league that hasn't had a real top team for the best part of 30 years whilst having more money than the other 19 teams combined ten times over...they've literally done the bare minimum whilst building a horrible reputation on top of it and you're praising them for it.

All I'm asking for is objectivity...but if you read my posts today about the situation and still think I'm "cheerleading" for Ratcliffe, then you have comprehension problems.

Of course. But I wonder what newer stadia are like in that regard.

You'd have to imagine much better bar the odd plumbing malfunction.

Though of all the rough ones I've seen the worst was when I went to an after hours dive bar that was in a big portacabin. There was a toilet but it only had one urinal and due to the portacabin being un-level most just pissed anywhere and it gathered in a corner. Big puddle of piss that grew as the night went on. Nice.

Every club at the top level flies through managers in this day and age, I cant be arsed looking into the numbers but we’ve had 6 managers in 10 years I bet we’re not much better off than them.

Most of those players you mentioned we’re free transfers and the days of them spending 150m+ on a player seems to be long gone, the new management came in and wanted a marque signing that will happen everywhere just look at Chelsea.

They have DoF in place to run the club by the way first Leonardo and now Campos it’s not like the Qatar owners are demanding Donnarumma being signed they just sign the cheque

Can't wait for Qatar to buy us now. Had enough of us being owned by people who don't care about the club.

We need a new stadium, new training facilites, new players and regeneration around the ground. Never happening under the likes Ineos.
