Expecting the brief within the next week. I will celebrate until then, though.

It was good and important to win a trophy the honest way before potentially being owned by Qatar but it’s feeling less and less likely that the Glazers are going anywhere. They’ll probably end up with a load of investment and we’ll all shut up.

That’s the worry with these cnuts. Imagine what ETH could with the financial backing and not having leeches as owners

Question, if the ones that want out go and the two that remain find funding and improve the ground, the facilities and invest in the club, could our opinions be changed?

Massive IF, but it looks like they’re staying and I’m looking for the silver lining.

Even the opposition fans are finally starting to recognise United fans' unwavering desire to see the back of the rats.

We've been accused time and again of being flip-floppy once the club starts getting results but this has never really been the case if you paid attention and weren't a WUM.

You typed a lot but haven’t actually said much. How is United slowly turning into a plastic club? There is no indication of such -
just hysteria. Since you think people here aren’t thinking or haven’t thought about the cons why don’t you list them instead of throwing questions into the ether?

I meant if we are bought by the Qatar bidder whose net worth is actually 1.2bn we might eventually become like City or PSG.

I’d probably prefer Ineos but you have to understand where we are. The glazers will run this club into the ground and have are well on their way with their abysmal running of the club over the last decade. It’s not as though the current situation is viable either

Even I want the Glazers to leave, I don't want them to stay because they are probably the worst owners of any club.

Whatever the alternatives are, I’ll take them over the Glazers. Enough for these muppets already

Why would glazers sell now when the team is starting to perform?

Please, for the love of God get these parasites out of the club as soon as possible. I just can't stand the thought of them somehow holding on after all of this.

Why would glazers sell now when the team is starting to perform?

Because they are there for the money, not for the success.

Plus success will be expensive to mantain, and the money is running out.

They've been jammy in that this season has strengthened their hand just when they need it, we're just the gift that keeps on giving to them.

It's not about team performance, it's about off the pitch investment, which no amount of success is going to pay for. Simple as that.

I'm sure for some it would be. The problem is, could the continual investment remain say in 5 or 10 years time, they can't see external investment all the time whilst continuing to take cash out of the club themselves.

Best things he's done at United

For today only, that's my captain

Honestly, I actually think it looks like Avram didn't realise Maguire was coming from that direction as the rest were from the other. Avram looks surprised, looking back to see if more are coming. Maguire just walks past as Avram isn't paying attention to him.

My analysis of the situation.

Except that's not how things work, they can offer up a Rights Issue with their bank as the guarantor and increase their holdings. Say they value the club at 5b and as controlling shareholders they say they need another 2b for the ground and operations they can fund the whole two billion if other shareholders aren't interested and maybe end up owning 80% or just fund it pro rata and sea with the minority shareholders later on.

He is right in that the Qatari don't have to buy out the 31% on the NYSE right away. They can keep them around as they can't influence operations either way, run the club as they like and pick up extra shares, in small quantities, when the dust has settled and especially in the next couple of years where our financials will be horrible reading as the company recovers from COVID inspired losses.

Pretty sure they did similar with PSG, waited nearly a year before buying the rest of the shares up.
