Shocking but not really at the same time
Anyone else feel a bit gutted?
Truly Glaston's spiritual successorNo point saying welcome now, I think he's gone

You don't understand. They just haven't asked the real fans.
When you see that it’s no wonder players don’t come out.He gets constant homophobic abuse.
The British appeal feels a more like a plea to the Glazers, if Jim can match the Qatari based bid, at least in the early phase they could be inclined and feel they're doing the one right thing by some vocal fans selling to Jim/Ineos.
Glazers might be unsure to sell off such a high profile British club to Qatar if there's not much between the bids in what they collect. For some United fans it's a real problem of Glazers 2.0 or Qatar, neither will be compelling. We'd have to know much more about Sir Jim's bid as to me it seems many times more treacherous than the Glazers.
Nope. But they let them set up offices in Qatar in 2012. Not really making me warm to a Qatar bid.So you think them being an intermediary between the British and the Taliban makes them the Taliban?
Yep. Look at the reactions to the rainbow devils statement. We even had a few appalling posts on here. This is just the start I think. Looks like the LGBTQ+ united fans will get a lot of hatred online.

A basic summing up of the SJR and Qatar bids for those wanting to catch up:
Haha yep definitelyTruly Glaston's spiritual successor
But the PR isnt there for winning the bid but the fanbase trust. The PR is for what comes after.Let's be honest this isn't about PR anyway. The Glazers only care about the highest bid so Ratcliffe doesn't really need to bother with all that.
Don't give me that do goody good bullshit.New car, caviar, four star, daydream
Think I'll buy me a football team
Hopefully Ratty goes for the dippers next.
"This is a scouse bid, for a scouse club.
I am making this investment as a fan of the beautiful game.
I'll put the poo back in Liverpool."
Where’s Kroenke from again? As for me, never will I surrender to the taliban. Arsenal & British till I die. No shit 350m for Neymar would ever cause me to forget who I am.
Maybe meet a minimum threshold and convince the Glazers they're not cnuts and the club is in safe hands with them?
Yeah scrap that, good point
Not sure what you and the other person gain from being cnutish about posts like that? He's not asking you to feel the same way, or expression some moral superiority.FC United of Manchester is hiring
So the class of 92 are backing it?
That Mikeluhg clown has 22k followers on it. Says it all. Football Twitter is a cesspit.Football Twitter is no joke. Savage environment if you get on the wrong side of people.
I think the majority of us would want squeaky clean billionaire owners, not linked to any form of human rights abuses or any dodgy dealings but it's just not realistic.
For all the talk of the soul being sucked out of the club if we end up with Middle Eastern oil/gas money, I think we are all forgetting that WE are the soul of this club. The fans, community in Manchester and further afield, have been with this club the whole journey - Newton Heath to today.
New owners cannot wipe out the history of Manchester United - that's the difference between us and City. It was the difference between Chelsea and us when Roman took them over too. We have much more to us than success on the pitch and that can't be taken away.
Whatever outcome this brings, we will be free of the leech Glazer family and have an owner who is willing to invest to bring the success back to the club.
If it's anyone besides Qatar or Saudis I'm going to be so disappointed. I don't know how people prefer Radcliffe over them, he's made a mess out of Nize.
I would rather stay with the Glazers than change to Radcliffe. For me it's either the Arabs or no one, want to see some serious investment and our club brought back to the very top in the short term.
What’s he been saying about the takeover actually? He for or against Qatar? That Mikeluhg clown has 22k followers on it. Says it all. Football Twitter is a cesspit.
And you are a prime example of what i was taking about, by the tone of your post. You'll likely be queuing up to defend a regime if they take over.Jesus you're a drama queen.
Brexit FC.Big fail to be talking about local bids to a global fanbase. The issue already divides us on a daily basis. You can't be talking about protecting traditions when the same release shows a level of tonedeafedness that shows you don't know what you're doing.
I'm also not surprised he resorted to it. He's just appealing to his sympathisers. For weeks we've been asking Pro-Ratcliffes why they push his name so hard and it almost always boiled down to being a local lad and having faith. Even after the news of needing loans to buy us.
What people who say Qatar are just better at PR than Jimmy Rat don't understand is that this displays willingness to understand the fans and actually cater to their wishes.I feel like INEOS will need to do more to get fans on side again, because that PR statement earlier basically said everything fans would want to hear.

That's not what im saying. The people who are responding to those who have issues with some of the problems with Qatar by saying "but look, the Glazers are naff people too".I am heavily in favour of the Qatar bid (of the two publicly announced) but let's not kind ourselves. It's as state-backed as it gets.
The main Qatari guy is worth $1.3bn in total, so he's clearly getting huge support from somewhere. You don't have to guess from where.
