I prefer QIA to MBS or some of the US hedge funds owners but it's really a case of picking the least worse option.

Nice to see so many of you who just do not give a shit who owns the club as long as they give you players and money. Im certain the womens team will be excited to be owned and funded by the regime that do not allow women do live life without permission from a male guardian. You lot have the backbone of a jellyfish and Im happy to take a account warning for the truble of telling you as much.

transfer rumours is gonna be absolutely insane this summer if Qatar buy us

Hope we spend big on partner for Casa and top striker then look to see if deal for Raya at Brentford is possible. The squad depth can definitely be improved without spending a fortune

So a couple of points to raise ahead of this potential takeover.
  1. PSG declined to join the super league when it was launched and failed
  2. If we end up building a new stadium, we will need to play somewhere, where would that be? is there an empty stadium in Manny?

I’m really not buying this idea it’s a cheat mode. Chelsea just spent 600m in 4 months. Newcastle are still backed by Saudi Arabia. City still have huge funds and one of the greatest managers of all time. The competition is insane and there is zero guarantee we sign the right players.
Agree entirely and will add that Liverpool may well have oil state money too soon. That would be four stonking rich clubs to compete with, plus what's looking like a well-run Arsenal, plus any unknown unknowns.

Plus the genius of Daniel Levy

Yes Tom, if Qatar state owned us and not a private investment group...there could be USA nationals on the consortium, it could be Becks it could be anyone.
The womens team will likely get a huge shot in the arm, higher pay, more investment etc, I believe PSG womens team is very well backed.

Ah, he was a WC ambassador so he is a part of a bid to take over Manchester United. Perhaps Ronaldo we should also just assume Ronaldo as part of the Saudi bid. As I said, this has been mentioned nowhere relevant, we should probably not be including his name in prospective ownership conversations surely.
Sorry. I’ll make sure to fully fact check semi-serious posts in future with you.

Musk is worse than Qatar.
From an ethical standpoint? Or are you referring to a business one? (We know he’s worse from a financial standpoint…which is slightly better from my perspective, but we are talking about enormous wealth here)

It’s not he owners but the cheat code they bring. We are looking at the formation of a football super club. A mega power.
I’ve learned to block the owners out years ago, I’ve gone back and forward on this over the years but now it’s come to the crunch Im not gonna walk away from Ten Hag and everything that’s going on now.
If we sign Mbappe, and we should be in for those players with our status and the league were in (feck Glazers) I’ll be excited. It’s when we’re looking for these players every summer and we’re constantly winning leagues that could lessen the drama of it all for me.
Although, the banter revenge tour we’d be on would be fantastic

Yeah if PSG are going to be our Qatari brothers then we expect discount prices IF by some miracle Mbappe and Hakimi leave

Cool bro. I can guarantee you that the women’s team will thrive as well should Qatar win the bid.

From the standpoint that he is mentally unstable.

if Qatar state owned us and not a private investment group.

This is literally a paper definition, not a practical one. The Emir of Qatar controls the investment company that wants to buy the club. Way to find a way to pretend everything about this is fine though.

I get what you are saying but at the same time I don't think they are particularly excited now either with our current parasites in charge. Haven't we seen reports of them having horrible training and basic conditions? You can rest assured womens team will get a proper investment and sorry to burst your bubble but I don't think players will lose any sleep knowing the club is owned by someone from Qatar.

Even in the world of billionaires, there are poor people. If you are a country with hundreds of billions, there is no bidding war. The only hope would be the FA stepping in, and big laugh to that idea. If Qatar launches a bid, they'll buy Man United.

Not trying to stir up anything but how would most of the fans here feel about being taken over by Qatar? Would it stop you supporting the club?

I have spoken to some that will walk away, but they are relatively small in number. There is a larger group whose connection to football has slowly been eroding and they feel that United being bought out for sports washing purposes, might hasten that process. That's my concern too - that a few years down the line, with OT probably demolished in place of 'The Qatar Airways Arena' and £300m+ transfer spends a routine summer occurrence, I might find that it is really quite difficult to actually care any more. Ultimately, countries buying football clubs just strikes me as obscene and ridiculous.

Of course, there will be plenty who welcome it with open arms if it happens. Not least, the enormous army of transfer obsessives on Twitter, who will immediately set about producing endless lists of fantasy transfer targets and imaginary line-ups.

We all know the Qatar business is fecking sad, is anyone pretending otherwise? I think getting annoyed that some people have reluctantly made their peace with this inevitable outcome, and doing it so aggressively is just a bit pointless now.

Whoever takes over from here, we’re getting in bed with shady folk, it is what it is.

Big feck off Elon though, that idiot deserves all the abuse.

I dont care about the money they will put in. Ratcliffe will without a question put in money, but there is no way that he is going to be able to put a competing offer against a Qatari investment group, so this is going to happen. Manchester United will be owned and controlled by the Emir of Qatar.

I will never not support the club, but Im more than a little dissapointed that so many of the Redcafe posters are happy about a state takeover just because they will put money into the club. One thing is still supporting the club, another is bieng giddy that the club we all love will be funded by a regime no one of us would want our daughters to grow up in. Thats where my problem is. This is just replacing one owner with another that I despise.

That’s largely been my experience too.

Judas being treacherous. Why am I not surprised?

He broke the Qatar story…

I think it's far more likely he'd participate in a joint bid with Qatar, where he would get a minority share. They are already acquainted quite well, I believe. God himself wouldn't be able to go into a bidding war with such an alliance and they'd easily meet the parasites' demands.

Ratcliffe will without a question take money out. They are a private investment company that exist to make money not give it away, his fellow shareholders would accept nothing less.

How much money has he taken out of Nice?
