It’ll be poached egg and foie gras every morning at the Academy.I'm half expecting Ornstein to tweet that we've poached the Liver Bird mascot to be Director of Having Balls Kicked Against his Arse as pre-match entertainment.

The Famous Mr Ed.One in the eye for the Ed Woodward haters. It’s taking four or five people to carry out his former duties. The streets won’t forget, Ed.

The more heads in, the better. United is one of the biggest sporting entities in the world. It requires lots of delegation.
You can have Jewell be the recruitment man, Wilcox the development man and Ashworth the man who stitches it all together, with Berrada being the money man.
The first team head coach is then freed from the burden of having to be part of the recruitment man and part of the man who stitches it all together, and he can focus on first team performances and is assisted by those four gentlemen.
Agreed, he was a jack of all trades and useless at all of them
Hated this cnut when he was at Blackburn.
City, Newcastle and the FA? You might be worrying unnecessarily. One thing i am bit worried about is that we are hiring people from smaller clubs and giving them higher roles than what they have in current job. Usually, that's not how it works in any industry, any job market. It actually the other way around. People get higher position in smaller company.
Just a little concern...I hope new owners know what they are doing.
I get it...and yet, we are a beast and it's just that United supporter in me has been burnt so many times recently over 'new beginnings'...City, Newcastle and the FA? You might be worrying unnecessarily.

It might be a fair concern if it starts happening en masse. The only thing I would say is we're likely to see an upturn regardless because for the last decade we've had bankers and accountants running the football operations of the club with an absence of any kind of meaningful structure. One thing i am bit worried about is that we are hiring people from smaller clubs and giving them higher roles than what they have in current job. I read this as 'Having His Own Balls Kicked Against his Arse'
So are we looking at Jewell's son for the Head of Recruitment role or am I misinterpreting things. Hope that INEOS are still weighing up candidates outside of the UK as well. Definitely feel we could do with some knowledge of the foreign markets too.
As far as we know, the money will used to buy shares, (currently worth $21 each, Ratcliffe is offering c$31 a share), you can bet your mothers cardigan, that money will go into shareholders pockets. My main interest is how ineos will help reduce the debt levels of the club.
I haven't followed this thread for a while so apologies if that has been discussed.
According to the rumours in the papers we are sounding out investors for the stadium project
Does that mean more debt?
My memory maybe failing, but i think Jim promised there will be no new debt.My main interest is how ineos will help reduce the debt levels of the club.

Yep. I've often seen people claim that the Glazers or Woodward did a great job financially, but they really didn't. We lost ground to pretty much all of our competitors. I have no doubt the Glazers have cost themselves at least 1b because of their incompetence running of the club, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it's closer to 2b.What's really funny is doing all this and getting good again will only help out financials.
It would have been very easy for the Glazers to have done this years ago and the club would have been in a much better position on and off the pitch.
Literally the only reason they didn't do it seems to be pure laziness and the fact they hired their own people to run a football club. If they truly believed on field performance had no affect on further growth then frankly they are just idiots imo

"Senior Role" is quite vague, could the guy from Southampton be out new Director of Football or Head of Recruitment - assuming that Ashworth's role will be Sporting Director.
Sporting Director and Director of Football tend to be the same thing just with different names. I guess we could have both roles and just give them different responsibilities, but generally a club will only have one. Both tend to be the one at the top of the footballing hierarchy.I don’t get this Sporting Director or Director of Football lark. Then there is Technical Director, which one is which?
Isn't the main reason for the interest in Jewell that he has focused on gaining knowledge on untapped foreign markets?

Debt in itself isn’t a bad thing for a business that is using debt wisely… making it work to make money/improve. Debt’s an issue when a business can’t afford it and/or the debt servicing restricts other areas of spend that are important or could see noticeable improvements in revenue (well, cash and profit really). My main interest is how ineos will help reduce the debt levels of the club.

Shiek Jassim’s fans would argue he had a deal to bring in the full Real Madrid backroom staffThere are not many bigger clubs we can recruit from..
No doubt one of the cnuts he's talking about there is Murtough. The Athletic have already reported that Fergie couldn't stand him.The Mail are reporting Brailsford met Fergie at his house and asked his opinion. Fergie said, “Get rid of the cnuts.”
This is old old news - back when Brailsford was involved with UK cycling. He has a long standing friendship with Sir Alex, so not talking specifically about our cnuts but I guess the advice can be applied here too!The Mail are reporting Brailsford met Fergie at his house and asked his opinion. So much for the theories Fergie has influence at United
I was a sceptic initially during the bidsing phases but I must say, I’ve been quite impressed with how they've gone about things since taking over.
Especially the sense of urgency present when it comes to assembling the new club structure as soon as possible.
We're finally moving like a proper and serious club with a plan for the first time in years

Rangnick FINALLY gets to do the actual job he was paid for. I doubt he held back. Beautiful.
Love that. Ralf knew what time it was straight away. No bullshit.
