Even ignoring the glaring issues with the fans… What would be the point? Plenty of stadiums in the North west to choose from

If they choose a new stadium I think it’ll be staying at old Trafford while a new one is built, or maybe even a stadium share with city

TBH playing at Everton's new stadium, if completed by then, wouldn't be a bad choice, they need the money for sure!

The Etihad is still owned by the city council, isn't it? So that would probably be the most likely option.

In that case, I wonder if the stadium would be referred to as the "City of Manchester Stadium" for United home games, given that the Etihad stadium sponsorship is a deal between Etihad and Man City.

If that happens we should get sponsored by Skipps crisps …. The Skipp

the club should never decide the style of play...that is squarely on the coach staff. To me, that's when it is up to the scouting team and DoF to identify key players that fit the managers style of play but more so fit in the culture and profile of the club...young, exciting talent...english or not ....and within a reasonable price

The club decide the style of play based on the manager they hire.

This is an insane take. A manager should be in sync with the board, if not then that’s on the board if the manager is still there.
It’s 2024, tactics have evolved. If a player isn’t wanted by the manager for whatever reason, be it tactically, personality wise etc then it’s idiotic to make a move for him.
City can afford it but their squad has a good 3/4 players Pep just doesn’t go near, he clearly doesn’t want them at the club and they don’t play,
This is true to an extent, but the players that a manager may think he wants aren't always the players he needs.

I may be late to the party but has anyone read the ESPN article on the Glazers? I shouldn't be suprised but I'm fuming. Feck them and especially Ed Woodward, that greedy little fecking rat. Him and the Glazers are three peas in a pod...all in it for themselves. Scum they are.

De Ligt could be an interesting signing in the right circumstances. He's not very much liked at Bayern so he might be available on a loan with right to buy or a swap with let's say Sancho

I think it is concerning reading this on a Bayern site: " According to a repot by Tz, Matthijs de Ligt faces an uphill battle to regain his starting spot at Bayern Munich. Thomas Tuchel is not a fan of the Dutchman, being critical of his buildup play — too slow, too many sideways passes, and not enough vertical through balls. "

Does not sound like a type of defender that suits us at all and he is not very fast. I would rather take a faster and better passer of the ball.

The Dutch Maguire

So thousands of local season tickets holders trek to London every other week?
Not feasible however we would still fill Wembley Glazers need to reimburse the fans for the more likely scenario of playing at the emptyhad which will be full for the first time?

And what about the 25,000 fans that are season ticket holders who would probably get 10 home games by lottery ?

I did. Was shocking even for these people. The crazy thing is fan made assumptions of how things were, were in all likelihood true. We seriously need to erode this club of the Glazers.

That's going to happen wherever they play with the exception of Wembley or whether OT remains in use

Not sure if this fits in here, but it makes a very interesting read.
What I have read into it is that while the fans have watched United as a team and the infrastructure of the stadium decline, it seems that the staaff have also suffered it also sheds some light on missed transfers, and why one certain player is bomb proof.
On top of that, you read that Tamps Bay have gone from strength to strength andeven have a new staadium to play in.

I’m liking Pinto. 35/36 years old. Ineos have favoured younger appointments at Nice. Hes already been a sporting director at Benfica and Roma. And he has made some good signings on small budgets. He left Roma last week.

Hmmm maybe there's something in him leaving Roma then. Could easily see a surprise appointment much like we saw with Berrada which would be interesting

Numbers I've seen is that it would cost 800 mil to renovate OT....for another 300/400 we could just have a brand new stadium.

Yeah does seem a new stadium could actually work out cheaper in the long run than renovation

Us playing at wembley for a season  fair play, such an easy way to (rightfully) rile people up. Utterly mental.

is it really such a bad idea for 1 season? What stadiums nearby would we use instead, that have a decent capacity and aren’t owned by rivals?

I'm so glad that was out on mainstream media. It showed up on ESPN in the States. Any public shaming is awesome.

Would rather see us play at Leigh Sports Village for a season than in London
