Avram_Glazer-14jpg-JS848633974.jpg

That dog is better taken care of than our club.

Good luck to all True Reds here. This is me signing off from this forum.
I have been Pro-Qatar for a while for a simple fact, demanding results from everyone.
Pogba, Sanchez, Glazers, Jim, Rashford, all cut from the same cloth. Money without accountability.

following United for almost 27 years has been a great joy, I associated myself with this club even living thousands kilometers away.
From last november I saw a bitter truth, tribalism at its peak across every fiber of our society.

I wanted my team to win, best players & best facilities (never had the money to visit, but that was my life time goal to visit Old Trafford) , my team has been at the top of mt. everest of football for generations, unfortunately there's nothing going to change. And taking emotional toll which I cannot take it any more.

Lack of unity on this forum shows what Glazers have done to us. Its been 10 years since our better days, we have been smacked around by our fiercest rivals, yet Jim is the answer. (either get the money or get competency atleast if both are not possible).

My 4 year old has been singing Glory Glory from last 2 years. I hope he succeeds in following his team for his life.

Thank you for everything friends.

A 15k expansion of Old Trafford sounds good and been a long-standing wish of many of us I reckon, but there's gotta be a lot of other fixes and redevelopments as well, like the roof, etc.

I think I just expected more from them. I was lead to believe these guys despise losing and would do whatever it takes etc.
They maybe don't, but they obviously underestimated the complexity and greed of the Glazers as well as how flexible other bidders can be. In the end their own hubris has undone them. Not a good look.

Fair weather fan. Goodbye!

Why would the Glazers give up footballing control? It looks like they think the money is with the TV deals, which they will be managing. To be fair, they are better at the commercial side than the football side - still not great but at least passable.

If you’ve followed United for 27 years you have been spoiled beyond the wildest life time dreams of most football fans. Honestly have a word with yourself.

I think I just expected more from them. I was lead to believe these guys despise losing and would do whatever it takes etc.
I agree but then again, it's not like they haven't seen that buying lower and investing more doesn't result in better business outcomes, so I can see why they said feck it.

What I find ironic here is all the anti-Qatar bunch laughing at Qatar not being able to pay up without even considering the possibility this was actually a private bid and the Dad said enough is enough, go buy something else and build from there ,(there were rumours they were looking at Inter for over 1bn).

The absolute lack of any critical thinking is really reminding me of all the Brexit-voting lemmings celebrating the UK going down the drain.

Part of me thinks they secretly loath our fanbase.

Hated by millions and carry on holding onto their asset when they’ve already made 10x their money.

Fans should have a decision IF a fair market valuation is met for a club regardless of who owns it.

United should be in the public domain partly at least. We should be partly protected by the UK government in my eyes. Selling our own clubs abroad at a whim is a sign of how weak our country is.

The Premier league and our government don’t give a damn about protecting culture. It’s a completely unregulated market.

They’ll use the excuse capitalism to encourage investment but they are just selling UK culture to anyone with a big enough cheque regardless of intent.

It’s so reckless and so amateur.

Mate. You're a bit late on this one. The club was sold to foreigners 20 years ago!

We are potentially about to be owned by a Manchester United fan, from Manchester.

My take is this is the PR angle. The truth is Glazers are very hands off (to the point I actually don’t think they are interested) so Sir Jim can come in, we announce some stuff, and fans lap it up.

Really? Not one of our actual trophy wins?

Not for me. The Lingard strike v Crystal Palace in the FA cup was very sweet. Winning the Europa league against Ajax was great, but would have been greater if our approach hadn’t been so lame, and if I knew how great that Ajax team was about to become. League cup wins over Sot’on (good) and Newcastle (better!) were League cup wins.
That Paris moment was a moment of dreams coming true, a classical fairytale evening. We came down to earth (several times) but that can’t rob the moment of it’s magic. We were a pub buzzing like an intoxicated bee hive that night.

Fair weather fan. Goodbye!

Not fair weather. Just someone who can see reality.
I don't blame him. Been die-hard United all my life but there comes a point where reality v expectation kicks in and I'm no longer blind to whats really going on.

The parasites running this club don't care one iota about the fans. United is purely a business cash-cow, they couldn't care less about the 'sport'.

Or The Glazers have come to the realization that they are ill equipped at making the decisions needed to make the club a sucess.

Or, they don't care about the football side and are happy to let Jim play with that for a cost of $1.8bil.

I hate the Glazers. Qatar would be entirely black and depressing. Ratcliffe, I have no illusions about his integrity, his feelings or his competency. But, wow, I am breathing relief tonight.

The latter.
When have the Glazers shown a shred of interested in football in general? I don’t know who turns up less to watch games, them or City’s Sheikh, whose trip to watch them win the CL was his second time watching them in 15 years. Game’s gone.

What I don't understand is why Jassim didn't just offer the same bid as Ratcliffe if it leads to full control in a few years anyway.

If a man at 70 is doing it why can't Jassim who is barely over half his age? He could have played the long game just the same and got his 'boyhood' club.

It is strange that Qatar couldn't be more flexible with their offer.

So little clarity on what The Glazers want, but it was felt that Avram and Joel were the ones that wanted to stay. So why did Qatar not just buy everyone out but them? And then why isnt Jim doing the same now?

Maybe it's a Qatari cultural stance. When they want to buy a business, they want the whole pie? Maybe the offer that has been reported has been over inflated.

Apparently ratcliffe offer could take a very long time to be fornally agreed. So will come back to this thread in October 2024 and a deal mught be agreed by then.

"...Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s purchase of a 25 per cent minority stake in Manchester United remains entirely dependent on outlining a “genuine path to majority control”, and long negotiations with the Glazers over that could yet mean contractual confirmation on the deal is some way off.

The club board are still set to vote on whether to move forward with the Ineos proposal this week, but it has been stressed to The Independent that nothing has yet been agreed outside the broad principle.

Not easy to go to a game when the whole stadium wants to kill you.

But they know that on field success leads to improved profits, so one would think they would at least have been able to send people into the club and make suggestions for improvements. They will know they the club they own have waisted money on player after player.

Imagine it be difficult to do business like that if they weren't sitting on top of all that oil.

Obviously, everyone wants the leeches (Glazers) out and the sooner the better. But what would hasten that?
Empty stadiums and no merchandise sales is my guess.
Why is there no concerted effort on those fronts? Would probably only take a few months of it before they shat themselves.

Are you or have you ever been a match going fan?

It's a forum not an airport, you don't have to announce your departure

Allegedly the glazers want way over market value for the club. The £5billion offer was seen a premoum price, but alledgly the glazers want £9-10billion for the club. Which everyone involved in football finance thinks is absolutely crackers.

There a billion in debt, there 1.5 billion needing to be spent on updating the training ground and stadium. Thats before spending anything on the team.

Ratcliffe bid for 25% if successful will then be followed by a very long and slow process of buulding up the percentage of the club owned. Just like Usmanov at arsenal. Buying shares when institutions are willing to sell.

So we are stuck with the parasites for a long while yet.

Who was a Chelsea season ticket holder, tried to buy them, and Barca.
Despite being well off, never held shares in United until this point.

Because if INEOS/Brexit Jim are seen to be "running" the football side, the blame is shifted away. If the glazers can get the fans hating on someone else whilst they are seen as "the guys bringing in the commerical money" then you think they are going to keep having reporters and fan channels flying over the US to ask them questions?

It's a win-win for the glazers. If INEOS fixes the footballing side and we win, the glazers win. They also just got paid massive overs to do nothing AND shift the blame.

If we continue to suck.....Brexit Jim is going to become the fans next big slur.

Nobody cares. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Call me crazy but I'm still not fully convinced that Qatar are fully done.

You’re fully crazy mate.

The Glazers never wanted to sell, 92 are deeply pissed off and insulted by them and now there’s the added factor of Israel’s war mongering.

It isn’t happening mate, he’s literally withdrawn his offer.

There’s no way back into it for Jassim.

Also the press are doing PR pieces about how Glazers ft Jim Brexit will work.

It’s done my bro.

investment and profit trumps loyalty Monday to Friday and twice on the weekend. We seen it all before. Qatar is desperate to own an EPL club looking at UAE and the Saudis

Well exactly mate, Jassim was just a front man. They'll find another one soon enough.
