and the Glazers would be under no obligation to sell.
That is what will be interesting to find out.
and the Glazers would be under no obligation to sell.
Where to start with thisSo many tears from the pro bluffer campaign.
People crying over this are really spoilt.
Sir Jim is a great outcome for us for so many reasons.
We actually know he has the money and will want to do all he can for the club to succeed.
There's no way on earth he is in this just to put money in the Glazer's pockets.
He will want them out as soon as it's possible and will succeed in that.
The man didn't get this far by putting up with fools
Wouldn't happen, sure he's a lifelong United fan. He even wore a United shirt that time.
There's no nuance for most - Utd just won't be fulfilling their Football Manager spending spree wet dreamCan someone explain (with nuance) why this is so bad? Ratcliffe seem to be doing fine with Nice right now and haver learned from past mistakes, I think he will hire a DoF and make some better sporting changes than Glazer has. So why is this bad?

Blanc is an absolute gem, Ineos are very lucky to secure his services. Change starts from the top and it's obvious Arnold is well meaning but has no idea what he's doing. It's not really adding much, just a review of who / what Ineos are and what they might do. In brief:
- They will look to restructure the footballing side, Arnold and Murtaugh can expect squeaky bum time, but not Ten Hag. Brailsford would be in charge of that restructure.
- Their analysts have concluded we are crap at buying (gee, who knew)
- Team is more important than stadium at this point
- A new hire from France (Jean-Claude Blanc) could replace Arnold & has history with PSG and other sporting ventures
- Nice were bad, but are turning it around (but only 8 games in) & lessons have been learned
- No evidence of how funds will be provided for investment in infrastructure
- Fans will need convincing.
Because the Glazer’s still own the club

I share your assessment.
The only thing we can be sure of with Glazers is their greed, so it was always going to come down the price of the shares they own and ultimately how much money they can walk out with.
I think the Qatari's misplayed their hand, whilst Jim was pandering to the Glazers they were pandering to the public.
I do feel we gave up on fan ownership too early.
Well, I hope this revamp of the sporting department happens, with serious pedigree in scouting and recruitment positions brought in. Also, a big investment in playing staff needs to happen. 5 or 6 top level players in and that number out. We need to start acting like were desperate to win things.
Hopefully the Glazers feck off as soon as possible then after Jim gets his foot in the door.

No but they have feelings too.I’ve never understood this particular line. It was said early on that the glazers didn’t like the stuff that Jim and Jassim were briefing to the press because it implied that they were not doing a good job.
Do the glazers genuinely think they have been doing a good job as our owners?
Whilst the stadium continues to rot and our facilities continue to be sub standard
No but they have feelings too.
No. The best feeling was when Rashford put the ball in against PSG. That was fecking buzzing.Anyone agree that the best feeling since Fergie left was probably those initial Mike Keegan reports that there was a Qatari group wanting to buy 100% of the club, remove all debt and invest in a new stadium?
Really? Not one of our actual trophy wins? No. The best feeling was when Rashford put the ball in against PSG. That was fecking buzzing.
Yes. More than likely they will pocket the majority but a revamp in the recruitment side of things at least can’t be a bad thing, you’d hope anyway.Someone correct me if I am wrong. But the financials of the squad building are not going to change from what we are seeing now. This deal is essentially allowing Ratcliffe take a position in the club by paying the glazers to sell shares. From that, as part of providing that money, Ratcliffe is asking for the ability to control the footballing side. So that is essentially just the back room make up of staff and how the "footballing" side is run.
There is no new money for players or anything like that. We will still be having these "sell to buy" discussions at the next transfer window. All Ratcliffe is actually doing is using money to buy decision-making capabilitites.
I really hope no one actually is holding on to some hope thinking that this 25% deal is giving MUFC money to buy players? This is all about decision-making. There is no injection of cash into the actual team. All the money has gone straight to the glazers.
Call me crazy but I'm still not fully convinced that Qatar are fully done.

I think I just expected more from them. I was lead to believe these guys despise losing and would do whatever it takes etc.I would not do it to yourself. They will purchase West Ham.
Which of our post fergie trophy wins left you buzzing more than that game?Really? Not one of our actual trophy wins?
