I'd happy to miss CL next season and not win anything if it finally convinced the Glazers to go. I suspect the only reason they haven't so far is because they feel another successful season could push the valuation up more.

I am hoping that is their undoing. I have thought and laughed to myself about that Sunday Mail report that they were taking the club off the market. The same report wrote that they think Ten Hag can "win major trophies to jncrease the value."

Not with this start and not with this structure above him he can't. He can only do so much, he cannot work miracles.

What I read from the extracts online in which Solskjaer said in the interview ( with the Athletic) , was "if there is a cycle, then I hope Ten Hag, breaks it". That to me is significant, because it shows what we already know to the wider football public. That the Glazers use a degree of progress as a shield to carry on.

I think the act is now fully exposed.

Man alive it makes my piss boil it really does.

In the position now we will have to finish nowhere to get rid of those greedy gets and still they'll be overpaid.

Grrrrr

Also come on United. Bayern match just started!

Knowing our luck, we'll agree to be sold and put Onana in charge of holding the contract.

Legit case of flogging a dead horse, except the weird pricks seem like they’re doing everything in their power to keep the institution they’ve completely dismantled.

Well no, he’s acting as a responsible CEO of an NYSE listed company.

Did you expect him to give low level staff insider information?

No and I didn’t expect for him to give interviews in a pub with united fans or handle the Mason Greenwood situation in the way he did either, tell me what club in the championship or premier league or other elite football clubs does he have successful club experience and a wining track record………I’m waiting what is on Richard Arnold CV other than working and failing with Ed Woodward that suggests he should be the CEO of Manchester United ?

Like I Said I’m waiting ………..?
While you’re at it send me Murtough CV as well to find out why he’s at the club?

The Glazers strategic review is spiraling and to get out of hand. Off the pitch decisions and dithering has serious hindered the coach. We are short of options up front. Confidence is low. Leaks out of the offices following leaks on the roof.

Your CEO, saying we are getting close to Man City. Only in a geographical sense.

Ratcliffe has told the two twots to fcuk off with request of still holding voting rights.

Jassim will not raise his offer.

You can try and rely on as much streaming rights as you like, It looks far from a $10 billion asset.

Are they starting to lose leverage?

I got a feeling the negotiations are done. If we are in the final phase some news should emerge in the coming weeks.

I can’t see either of the bidders increasing their bids by much or even at all. The level of investment the club needs going forward, the debt and the inflated price they have already offered is more than enough.

Just remains to be seen if the Glazers are just trying every last avenue to squeeze whatever else they can and if so how much longer can they drag that out. Or are they genuinely expecting to be offered another 1-2 billion or more, if so theres no chance of a sale happening anytime in the near future.

Yeah I can't see them raising their bids either and no chance of the leeches accepting either of these offers by the looks of it

Well they can't stay, the situation is untenable. The staff are causing uproar, players are dejected, a coach that is not being given full support and the assest is only going to depreciate.

So you see these leeches actually giving in?

It’s surprising that at least one of the 2 main bidders haven’t pulled out. The bidding process is becoming a farce. The nonsense and disinformation/clickbait doesn’t help either. If the hard line is £6b or no sale then why is the sale process still ongoing ? We don’t know of the dialogue between the glazers and the potential buyers. There must be some or surely they would have walked by now. The issue is though the damage the Glazers are doing to “Their BRAND” all they care about are the numbers. A successful team on the pitch can cover other failings however we don’t have this. The club is a mess. So why on earth would anyone pay such an over the top amount? Looks like both bidders at £5bn If you believe the press. what really is the end game the Glazers want? They will never be accepted? They cannot run the club successfully? The have no SAF / DG to save them? Will take enormous investment to recover from the Glazer mismanagement which the Glazers just don’t have. They have taken a debt free club to £1bn in debt. But this debt is due to them taking money out not like Madrid/Barca spending on players/Stadiums etc which the fans loved at the time. The Glazers have just brought misery. if they don’t give in / sell will their investment improve?

This is a masterpiece from ETH and the players. Make drama, play poorly and sink the valuation. Get sold, upgrade facilities and stadium, buy the right players and bingo, we will win again. Many have said it, it’s a process.
I really hope when the Glazers is finally out, some one have the nuts to clean this club, so many people in the club are only here because of relationships rather than ability and qualities

Sale not happening folks. We still have another 2-3 seasons of on the pitch humiliations box sets to make. Reckon another 5-0 trouncing from Pool, City perhaps put another six past us. Not to mention losses to Burnley or Sheffield Utd.

Oh cool thanks for the update

Only 5-0 this season. Progress.

Daniel Levy has just announced he's willing to sell his stake in Tottenham :nervous:
How do you figure this has any implications on the potential sale of Man Utd? Personally, I don't see it. The embarrassing thing would be if Tottenham changed ownership first, after all this.

In all fairness pal, I think all those things are a given this season. The big worry might be if buyers don’t want to pay too dollar for a club in bottom half of table.

I was thinking of the possibility that Qatar gets fed up with the way the process is going, walks away, and buys Spurs instead.

You’re a bundle of joy

The Qataris jumping ship and quick buy spurs would be a pretty big implication for us.
This has been thrown out there a number of times. Pure speculation imo. There has been nothing credible to suggest they would be interested in Spurs. It is a possibility, but I doubt it. Not sure that is a great look for them if they do. It will come across as if they had to settle for something lesser. Would also not be doable under Sheikh Jassim and the 92 Foundation.

Above all, if they have stuck around the bidding process for United this long, I think they are committed to ultimately winning this. From the Glazer POV, if the Qataris are out of play, that is a massive blow to their leverage and inflated asking price. Save for the Qataris don't think anyone is going to come along present a higher bid that is actually viable (i.e. Class A shareholders not excluded), and I continue to doubt that the Glazers are willing to hold on and secure the partial investment they will need within the next couple years.

really looks like no end in sight, or at least no positive end in sight for getting the leeches out of here.

The Fomc interest projection has been changed that less rate deduction in 2024 and interest rate will higher than 5% for the whole 2024. Basically shut the door of minority investment.
If the glazers are smart enough, they should cash in right now and reinvest in the US bond market immediately.

I hear your frustration. As far as we know, the review is still in progress and neither INEOS nor the Qataris have walked away. We should not expect to be privy to the progress of the negotiations, and we truly have no way of knowing how close or likely a sale may be. Could be announced tomorrow, could be in a year, could be something else altogether. I still strongly feel they will be out at the end of this review, but have definitely lost confidence in how soon that may be.

yeah i still chuckle at the thought that maybe this would be done sometime before or maybe during the transfer window, or at least their being confidence that january window would be able to have new owners. At this point id be surprised if we have new owners in time for the next summer window, let alone anything for january.

This will happen before Christmas. No time for panic.

meh we shall see. I have no faith the leeches wont be naive/desperate/delusional/whatever the feck randomness they pull to try and stay on for longer in some misguided thought that they deserve more money or something. Still ridiculous that someone is allowed to use debt to buy a club, and put that debt on the club. Damn near no different than had i bought united back in the day and just said well i promise to pay you the money but only after i get the club and make the club pay the money.
