I just struggle to believe as business people they could be willing to burn so many bridges.

They’re complete idiots.

Idiots who are getting on a bit now and might not be thinking straight.

In fact their decision making over the past 10 years has genuinely made me question whether some degree of senility could be affecting 1 or more of them - likewise the way other business and football people talk of them, ‘they’re very sensitive’, ‘you have to humour them’ etc.

They’re just another awful ruthless sociopathic rich family. The World- (America) seems to be full of them.

Really they are just business people who don't care about the human dimension of the product they own, any more more than I care about who made my iphone. Demonizing them risks missing the point that such people should never be allowed to buy our football clubs in the first place, or that fandom is really just a false consciousness in the first place.

Never really understood why the fanbase hasn't tried to export the protests to Florida a little more.

To say the Glazers don't give a rat's ass about anything that happens in Manchester is an understatement.

You are living in cuckoo land if you think anyone but a middle eastern state backed bid is going to pay 10 billion.
No, the guy must be definitely sure there is group of church going multi billionaires just biding their time waiting for the price to rise to put a bid in. Possibly 6 billion was a bit uncouth for them to way in at this stage?.

Tbf there’s already a bid in the region of 6b from church-going billionaires…

But perhaps it’s the wrong kind of church for some folk.

I'm wondering if this is a deliberate leak to put more pressure on the bidders? "Up your bid or the club is off the market"

In my opinion they're definitely not going to pull the club off the market, but I can absolutely see them trying this to extort more money from the buyers. Selling in 2025 makes no sense, it's very likely the fierce competition and money being spent in the PL from the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea, City and even Liverpool will cause United to slip further and further behind.

Chances are in 2025 we shall likely be a mid table team, well out of the CL and even EL, meaning the value will be literally half, if not a quarter of what it is now.

Of course this is all my opinion and my personal speculation

That's right Kaveh, our Utd buddy. As a chief reporter of Sky Sports, couple of months ago, you publicly described the Glazers sale process and their behaviour as "totally undignified". You call them out again that they should just take the money(on overpriced evaluation from two bidders), and go away. Thank you, Kaveh, for your contribution - however small it is.

Churchgoing?

Huge huge protests needed until the rats are gone
We need the American fans to do something to protest against the Glazers. No protest in Manchester or anywhere in the UK will ever make any difference - as long as they're sitting all the way in Florida they will not give a shite of what's going on over here.

I have to say that seeing Maguire and Evans as our CB pairing was fecking depressing. Was relieved to see the back of the bizarre Weghorst loan. Things like these will continue to be the norm if Glazers are staying on.

Absolutely right. I still have faith they are going. An uncorroborated report from the Daily Mail does not do it for me. We could really do with something positive during this international break.

Anyone that thinks Glazers staying is preferable to Qatar for the future of this club needs their head examined a few times.

I’ve said before, no manager is succeeding here, there’s a loser culture from the top who just care about getting top 4 and increasing sponsorships, we could have Pep or Klopp and they’d fail.

Should be forced to watch the last 10 minutes of this game on loop.

In a way, us having a bad start to the season might cause enough discontent for the more...militant sections of our support to up the pressure on these cnuts to sell.

I've had this feeling for the longest time. Imagine what we could've done if we'd had new owners by the end of last season.

Great stuff on Sky Sports news about the United situation, he’s right it should never have been allowed to happen. Basically United is Glazers cash cow.
Premier League would not have allowed that take over if it was any other club. They knew what they were doing. They knew that a financial straightjacket would work wonders on our club. And yet no-one was made accountable for allowing the sale to take place. Why?

Exactly, until these owners have gone, nothing, absolutely nothing will change.

The only upside of crappy results is the hopeful glazer realisation that this is endgame. Imagine contributing nothing over ten years and then asking an investor to basically sugardaddy your extended stay at the club

Alex Miller was interviewed on Channel 4 this evening about this.

Says he heard last week the Glazers were considering pulling the club off the market, and now he has a timeframe of 2025.

He points out that the bids have been on the table for 3 months, and sources from Jassim's camp have told him they haven't heard anything in those three months.

Says he thinks the Glazers were expecting a stampede of bidders given that we're the biggest club in the league, but it hasn't happened that way.

Sources have told him the Glazers are looking for 7 billion, up to 10 billion (he doesn't specify the currency of that number). When asked if the club is worth that money then he says that in a couple of years if we win something, if the next TV deal is bigger, if the Club World Cup expansion is a success, if the World Cup in the US in 2026 rises interest in the game there then they might affect the value of the club.

The only way is to boycott home games. All fans would have to join it pretty much. No MUTV, no going to games, no purchase of merch and boycott of sponsors. That's probably impossible to achieve but protests don't concern them. It would have to be an all-or-nothing boycott.

Grim if true.

fans/supporters here in the states don't protest their sports teams, if the teams sucks or they feel something is wrong they don't go, they stop buying tickets. Some fan bases will stay loyal but Florida teams in general aint one of them. You're never gonna see OT half empty, or better yet completely empty with no tickets sold.

It could have been stopped. Fergie and Gill had tremendous influence in 2005 but Malcolm was allowed to waltz right in.

10 years of mediocrity and terrible decisions. We should get used to it.

If there’s any truth in the Glazers pulling out of selling, then it’s time for fans to stop putting any money into the coffers.
Merchandise, subscriptions and even stop going to games.
short term pain for the long term gain.

Otherwise we are in for many more years of pain and the club deteriorating further.

Stop giving money to these leeches!

We aren't going to qualify for that in 2025 under the Glazers. You have to win the CL to get in. So they are deluded if they think we are making money from it. Unless of course they think FIFA will change the rules for entry.

The glazers are fecking clowns. How they have managed to feck this club up needs a s erious investigation. They bought a club that was priniting money and somehow put the worst leadership team in place who constantly fecked up and never sacked them. They allow all our rivals to not only catch up with us but actually surpass us on so many levels and they still have the audicity to keep this sale charade ongoing. fecking Jamie Carragher would run the club better.

Won’t work. Protests in the U.K. will always hurt the most, get the most attention and make brands think twice about doing business with United.

Can’t help but feel if SirJim hadn’t planted the idea the Glazers could still retain some level of control, we’d have new owners by now.
If sir Jim Glazer wasn’t in the run for the club, we already be owned by Jassim/Qatar. Probably in time for ti to have any effect on the transfer window.

To the tune of “feck Joe Biden”, feck Jim Glazer.

Anyone that thinks Glazers staying is preferable to Qatar for the future of this club needs their head examined a few times.

They actually think having that stance makes them better people (for real!), while the club burns to the ground.

This has always been stated and tried.

The fans who bought their season ticket deserve to go to the games. Only another pitch invasion like the liverpool game will sort this mess out and show that football can't happen if fans are united

Then it’s time to throw the kitchen sink.
No purchases, no turning up for games (or stopping them from taking place).
It has been easy money for them from day one. Turn the tap off. I’d rather we got relegated than watch them stay in charge and bleed us dry

That’s absolute bollocks.

Please for the love of god just sell and leave.

Martial, Sancho, Maguire, Evans, McTominay, Van de Beek & Bailly are all still at this club.

Absolutely staggering how nobody in the club can see that it's better to have none of these at the club and off the payroll.

Sickening feeling today watching the end of that match with Evans and Maguire together. Absolutely incredible how they're were our CB partnership to see out the game.

The fans will certainly have to become accustomed to disappointment in any event the Glazers do stay. The preference for the Americans over Qatar can only be relevant from a political standpoint not a sporting one. Because there's no way any new owner can do worse than what has been witnessed the last 10+ years.

No manager will succeed at this club it's a given, United will not win anything of note under Glazer ownership that is also a given.
